Beliggenhet heit utmerket, hyggelig personell.

Close to the central station. Nice breakfast.
No air conditioning, I can imagine these rooms being extremely hot during the heat of summer. There was a table fan in the room which helped a little.

I stayed for a week and enjoyed the stay very much. It’s a grand, old building with spacious rooms. Very clean and the furniture is modern and comfy. The breakfast is very good and the lobby bar serves drinks until late. There is free parking included and the location is right between a park and the city center.

UPDATE: The general manager reached out to me about the review and was very kind. It was very thoughtful of him to take action and make things right! After his kind response I'm inclined to rate the hotel much higher. My negative experience below reflects one room and one night, and the main areas of the hotel were clean and a good stay.
The breakfast was nice. Also, the vibe of the lobby is very historic and I liked it.
The room felt disorganized. The furniture was oddly placed and the mirror on the wall hangs crooked. Also, in the bedroom, the heater was on all night and it was so hot. I couldn’t figure out how to turn it off because the controls were behind the wooden beam support. I’m also a tall guy and hit my head on the slanted ceiling at least 3 times and that was frustrating. The light is also not good in the bedroom. I found some spiderwebs in the corners of the room and by the heater that made me think nobody had really cleaned the apartment in a while. Also, the shower head was broken. It don’t attach to the wall securely, and the water pressure is really bad. It felt hard to get soap off.
I stayed in hostels and cheaper hotels on this trip and this was the worst of them all. I’m frustrated that the hotel I paid the most money for was the one with the worst experience. If possible, I’d like some sort of compensation! Thank you for listening and your consideration.

The grand entrance and the ancient interior. Nice experience to stay in once. The location is perfect. Walking distance to restaurants and a park at the opposite. Staffs are nice and friendly. Free coffee and tea at the central hall.
Everything seems a bit of aging, needs some uplift for such a nice hotel. The entrance of our shower area is a bit small, bigger size person may have difficulty to get through. Some losing tile while walking towards the room area.

We had a very nice stay in this beautiful hotel. The breakfast was very good and the location is perfect, everything is within a short walking distance. The rooms were also spacious and the staff very hospitable. Would stay here again!
Only one small pillow per bed.

The location is really good and parking spots are available around the area. shops and restaurants are close. Breakfast was good with good amount of choices.
If you want to travel to the past then it is a place to go. The castle experience started with a room key that has grave stone shaped key chain taking you to the old elevator up to the room.
My room was very big room with sitting area and bed area which is sound like a good thing but the old style wooden ceiling supports added a spooky effect to the room that has no light but 2 small side lamps to read and castle bed style and it was a bit very not comfortable feeling.
The carpets are really old and smells like cleaning materials that been accumulated throughout the time.
There is lots people portrait that will be following you in the hallways 😅

The hotel is badly in need of refurbishing.

Convenience to bus and train and town. Room big. Breakfast very good. Staff friendly.
The hotel is old and understandable in need of renovation. It would be good to have kettle tea and coffee and small fridge in rooms.

Excellent location, good staff and spacious and clean rooms. Big bathroom and a wide mirror. Good shower.
It's time to start updating the interior.
Broken tiles in the hall, old appliances in the rooms and old furniture. Individually these things would give the hotel character but all together not so much. especially when charging high season rates.
Sewer smell coming from the fire escape at one point.

Very nice hotel, good location in the town centre, good breakfast
