Not so bad

Price , staff are friendly

TV not working, The toilet seat is not fixed well and makes a noise , pillows are dirty and have awful smell , bad location, everything is far from it

Not a 5 star worthy hotel.

Rooms were clean and upon entry it looked very classy and fancy

Showers in room had mold. Drainage in bathroom terrible. The water just stands and floods the bathroom. Room service takes terribly long. They only came to clean our room at 3pm The Balata Restaurant is terrible. Limited menu (for a 5 star hotel). Staff were unhelpful. Went for dinner and it was very rushed like they wanted us to leave, no offer for dessert. Key card access is useless doesn't work properly. Pools were green and not able to be used. This really is not a 5 star hotel. I've stayed at 3 stars which were better.

Really enjoyed the comfort and very relaxing

The size of the room was nice and big, did not feel cramped, shower and bath space was perfect, entrance to the hotel was very welcoming.

The operation of the dstv is very poor, need to get out of the bed to change channels, that was very frustrating, no hallal options at the restaurant.. Had to pay for hot chocolate for breakfast on a bed and breakfast booking

Fair stay at Fairway hotel

Very friendly and helpful staff. Large warm room with balcony. Good breakfast with a lot of choice. Excellent a la carte restaurant.

Date night

Beautiful golf course. Place is clean and staff very friendly. We enjoyed walking in the estate it is very safe and even at night we felt safe. The reception and restaurant has a fire place that makes it very cosy. The golf club is walking distance and not expensive with their drinks and food. We had a sundowner on the deck. Beautiful bird life and very tame peacocks. Overall nice place.

All was nice can't complain. Loadshedding was bad but they have a generator. I suggest getting solar to make everything more stable. It was a bit of a problem everytime the electricity went off and it took a while before the generator kicked in. I will also suggest getting Netflix.

Disappointing

The receptionist ladies were lovely and friendly

Carpet on the room was dirty, room was not properly cleaned worse myself and my mother got sick from the room carpet dust. I don't think will book again this hotel was my first time and last. We gave our feedback as well to the reception ladies. Was not happy at all. Room was smelling dust. From the corridor carpet dirty inside our room was worse.

Location, Food

Overall evening hotel staff service was poor, was a mission to get any requests like baby cot (which was requested prior), missing amenities in the room, refurbishing in rooms needed. Room service attendant reeked of alcohol and didn’t look sober. Food was really good, morning staff really helpful and friendly. Easter Buffet was exceptional, would highly recommend.

Fairway Hotel Randburg Check in - 15 March 2023 Room - 126 1. Terrible housekeeping, dirty floors in the bathroom, spider webs too. Silicone in the showers are black, they do not clean. 2. Damaged curtains, cannot close fully, you get morning sunlight🙈 3. Fridge does not work 4. No tv remote to switch on & off. The Dstv remote cannot power the tv. 5. Bathroom door jammed, stuck in closed position. 6. Terrible pillows, my neck hurts, should’ve have at least had a selection of pillows. 7. Reception wasted our time checking in, they couldn’t bother looking up their system to the payment from bookings.Com…waste of time… Would not recommend this hotel

Staff and location were very welcoming and tried to make our stay as good as possible even with Load Shedding

Maybe some more interaction regarding the golf facilities, could not see any info in the room that explained booking and or playing, we were international guests and wanted to play.

Next time I will pay more attention to the room I am going to stay in and book for longer.

It was good and could get good portions and variety. The view of the golf course before the sunset was beautiful and enjoyed the layout of the swimming pool. The staff was friendly and welcoming.

The room that we had chosen was opposite the villa section and therefore we felt that people walking outside could see the inside of our room. The sheets were a bit torn, think its from ironing/drying.

Good place to recoup

the proximity and the location. The staff was friendly and was helpful always. The breakfast was good but could be be better with different dishes on each day.

The rooms were not cleaned properly throughout the stay. They just made the bed and tidy up. The glasses were not stored practically and we always had to request an extra wine glass. the chiller or bar fridge wasn’t cold, didn’t seem like it was working
