great facility. they cooked us lunch because we had not had any and nothing else was open!! great dinner and breakfast too!

Very kind staff. The hotel is very nice and located right on the harbor of the town. As the town is very small, there is the possibility to have dinner in the hotel.
The hotel does not have a lift and already at the entrance you have to go up two flights of stairs with your luggage.

Great location near the harbour. A lot of wildlife in the surroundings. Nice room, very spacious and very clean. The young lady at reception/restaurant was very professional and polite and when I left gave me a lot of useful informations about some places to visit. Excellent food in the restaurant, good breakfast. I would stay again.

We stayed on the last night before they closed for winter and we were the only guests. We were treated liked kings! We had the most wonderful meal and chat with the owner and were fortunate enough to witness a wonderful show from the northern lights at the arctic henge, just a few minutes away. The bed was the most comfortable of our whole trip and many, many hotels. We slept like happy babies. Breakfast was really good and catered to our vegetarian taste and all in all it was a very memorable stay. Can’t recommend this hotel enough. If you have the chance to get to this strange and beautiful corner of the world, do! We will certainly be back.

The owner was great. Very helpful and hospitable. Also very knowledgeable about Icelandic History. The hotel is very close to the Arctic Henge and he explained it's meaning. We had a great room, very large with a comfortable sitting area.
Nothing. We really enjoyed our stay.

We stayed four nights at the hotel. The hotel is perfect located, close to harbor and of course the Arctic Henge. The room was excellent and clean, with large and very comfortable beds. The owner is exceptionally friendly, helpful and gave us good recommendations. His assistants (bar, restaurant and reception) were very friendly, smart, always trying to help... The food in the restaurant was perfect and very tasty, as was the breakfast. We would definitely recommend to others and would also stay there again!

The management was very friendly. They even opened up breakfast the next morning earlier than normal for us because we had to get up early and head back to Reykjavik.
7.0
The staff was great and the preparation of the room was nice. The food was amazingly good including dessert, really tasty. It is a walk distance from the Arctic Henge. Room is huge what is good.
The hotel facade is really scary, looks like old horror movies. The rooms are old and the bathroom was full of flies, to get at the reception you need to use an outdoor stair, not friendly for trolley luggage.

Great breakfast. Very good restaurant for dinner.

Attentive staff. Room was basic but clean with comfortable beds and good lighting. Staff was extremely helpful. Really fast WiFi.
No tv in room or waste paper basket. Not much to do in the town.

Came cycling from Kópasker to Raufarhöfn through the amazing Melrakkaslétta. Had a warm welcome in Hótel Norðurljós in this beautifull town. Highly reccommend!!
