I liked that the owner paid attention to details, a lot of necessary things are available on-site, including some I wouldn’t have even thought to bring with me.

Those little houses in the middle of nowhere are a really great place to stay. We stayed there for three nights and didn’t miss anything. The hotpot is one of the best we have seen at Iceland so far. For every bath you fill it up with hot thermal water. The house is close to the beautiful waterfall Goðafoss.

What is not to like? Exceptional finish, designed to a significantly high standard, it was the absolute highlight of our ring road honeymoon trip. Watching the northern lights from an on demand hot tub was unimaginable. The views, the quality, I can not speak highly enough of this place.
We have already recommended this place to 3 other couple friends of ours and will be looking to rebook in the future.

Beautiful cabin layout and perfect size. Absolutely loved the style and the view from the kitchen/living room! We would happily quarantine in Svartaborg for an extended period of time! :)
we unfortunately weren’t able to use the hot tub

Rien à redire ! Vraiment superbe, confortable et calme. Le meilleur endroit pour séjourner dans la région d’Husavik.
RAS tout était génial

The owners refunded the day when there was no water in the hot tub and made another 100 euros discount for dealing with all other problems. But I'd rather pay them full price and not have to deal with their property issues.
There there issues with water in the hot tub and the heating system.
The bottom of the entrance door often froze and it was impossible to lock it. The owners advised to use a hair dryer to defrost the ice from the door. By the way, the bottom of the door has a half-hammered nail that could seriously injure your foot when you try to push the door to close if you don't notice it. You can see it in the picture I attached with my review.
The snow from the driveway was shovelled daily, but I had to shovel the snow around the house, entry door, car parking, hot tub myself.
It was very difficult to communicate with the property. They would rarely reply WhatsApp messages or even answer calls.
The narrow roads around Svartaborg are full of trucks driving at full speed. One of them damaged the windshield of my car.

The cabins are very spacious, have very luxurious and comfortable furniture, are decorated in a designer modern style which really feels refreshing and also gives a homely feel. It is located in a quiet and peaceful area where you only hear sheep and with nice views of the valley and surrounding slopes. The hottub is shielded by grasses.
Compared to all other lodgings we stayed at during our road trip around Iceland this was heavily overpriced. For the price you pay we believe you may expect a bit more, like more towels (we received one per person for our multiple day stay), clean (new) slippers (we had used dirty slippers), a dishwasher that functions properly (dishes were not clean after several attempts), a microwave, someone cleaning during your stay or more facilities (it is isolated and basically only offers the cabins). Difficult to organize temperature in the cabin. Not much to do in the area.

What a gem in the middle of beautiful nature in the north of Iceland! We were lucky to stay at this stylish cottage for two days. The interior design is top-notch. The hot pot right behind our house was fantastic, too! Would recommend this place to anyone visiting Iceland.

What a gem! Breathtaking views, quiet, excellent design throughout. Now if they only had harder matresses this could be our favourite hotel in the whole of Iceland.
The bed is waaaay too soft.
Everything else is absolutely excellent.

Contemporary Scandi design with geothermal heating. The geothermal Hot Pot for relaxing in. Lovely country views. Good facilities. Great shower. Comfy beds. Friendly helpful owners in farm next door. Easy to reach Husavik, Akureyri, and Myvatn lake. A kitchen you can cook in plus dishwasher.
Nothing! Worth knowing there are several modern cottages in the group - but all very well spaced apart. No microwave.

The place is special. Starting from the interior design, continue with small details to make one feel at home to being very paciouse, well maintained, and includes all necessary cookware and dishes one may wish. The attention to details, is what makes it so perfect.
Stayed for three nights, and wished we could have stayed longer.

Beautifully equipped, comfort-focused, magical location. The perfect stay set away from the frey but close to bough to the sights for an easy commute.

We rented 2 cabins for 4 nights as we wanted space and privacy for everyone rather than using the sofa bed in the living room.
We enjoyed the attractive design and large windows overlooking the gentle valley and neighbouring range of hills.
Good bathrooms and bedrooms. Good TVs in bedrooms. Practical kitchen area.
Good quality speakers for playing music. Good window coverings for keeping bright night out.
Cabins nicely spread out and feel private.
My husband enjoyed the hotpot.
No real issues. We were down to 4 dinner knives in our cabin and there were a few other minor housekeeping issues. The BBQ had not been cleaned.
Very little to do without getting in the car, but I did find a peaceful spot to listen to the river and birds a stroll down the road. And it was nice to just hang out in the house.

Host was digging away the snow when we arrived so we could use the hot tub. Beautiful designed interior with matching furniture, cutlery, etc. Amazing views.

Everything. Very nice furniture and appliances. Very warm and amazing location. The hot pot with natural water was fantastic.
The bed could be better, it has a split mattress which end up uncomfortable for a couple.

Stunning cabin in the mountains, finished and furnished to a very high standard. Everything inside was of excellent quality. We felt like we were living in a house straight out of Hello! magazine. The private geothermal hot pot was awesome, hidden away from other cabins and it was crazy hot (we had to let it cool down a while before using it). The shower in the property was exactly what you want; a rain shower with incredible water pressure. The bed was a dream to sleep in, with super comfy pillows. There were lots of lovely little extra touches like hot water bottles, candles and games. The cushions were alpaca for example, everything was so comfy and cozy.
It was absolutely perfect, my only tiny gripe was that my duvet cover was a tad short (I'm 6'22 - 189cms) but I just took the extra blanket (which was lovely and soft) from the living room to bridge the gap.

Amazing location. Every detail thought about beautifully.
