The setting is fabulous, with a beautiful garden. The girl who was working there when we stayed was very helpful and kind.
The bathroom window looked on to a part of the garden and felt a bit non-private as there was a direct view into the shower! There was a translucent curtain though

The atmosphere was soothing and pleasant. pool was very nice, lots of spots to chill around it and enjoy the mesmerizing view. The staff was attentive and welcoming, and the room was nice overall and so was the dining area.
The bed wasn't too comfortable, and the room wasn't dark enough (especially in the morning)
The shower soap dispenser had only foam, and was not suitable for showering.
The mini fridge kept freezing the food kept in it.
The breakfast was very basic, a buffet might be a better fit.
We had a hard time finding a place to have dinner, since the place isn't offering one.

Wonderful facility and great exposure to the nature. surrounded by nice views
the town is small so not so many option for dinner, the heat didn’t work at night and the AC doesn’t warm up the room in winter

We fell in love with this place. The view, the bedroom, the location, the quietude and the breakfast was absolutely lush.

friendly staff, excellent room, beautiful view, seat variety, hammock, laid back.
we arrived a few mins too late to get service from the bar with some ham and olives. it would have been nice if they had been a bit more flexible. breakfast was basic. the nearest town lacks any charm and no decent restaurants.

Nice property, nice view, clean, nice breakfast.
We expected to get some help with our trip planning however the only person that was on duty did not speak English and there were no maps or any directions/ recommendation that we could use.

We loved our stay at Quinta da Mouta and wish we would've booked it for longer. The grounds and landscaping are beautiful, and our room was very nice as well - clean, large, and comfortable. The host we met was extremely kind and accommodating especially considering the slight language barrier. Breakfast was appreciated and plentiful. Honestly the whole area is beautiful and this home was no exception. Highly recommended for exploring Pineda-Geres and the surrounding areas.
Our host didn't speak English which made communication a bit difficult, but it wasn't really a problem. Plus, I don't speak Portuguese - so who am I to complain?

Very pretty place in a lovely location and with great staff, but but … all this good stuff was marred by super basic problems with hotel maintenance and guest comfort. Getting into a hotel room when you want to - or indeed getting out of of your room without recourse to a step ladder or staff help - along with working Wi-Fi in the room as promised, are super basic requirements
No WiFi in our room - not as had been advertised.
The door of our hotel room jammed repeatedly and would just not open, a problem the owner said he knew about, and one that meant we had to keep calling staff to open it or else climb a ladder and pass the key to each other through the roomwindow.
We arrived at 2 pm to check in and had to sit outside as nobody was there to let us in. We eventually went to a nearby town to fill time. The owner correctly said their website states check-in is from 3 o’clock but I think it would be better to make clear that the whole hotel is totally shut/understaffed before then so people like us don’t make the same mistake and waste precious holiday time. Such a shame as otherwise this could’ve been a lovely stay and the lady on hand to help guests was wonderful. Owen response altogether less so.

Amazing views, very clean place. It has a pool and the breakfast area from where you can see the mountains. Breakfasts were delicious. I'm coming from a country where we eat big breakfasts and I was full afterwards. Fresh juices, very good jams (especially seasonal flavours as pumpkin and apple-cinnamon). You should try it yourself!
