a chilled hotel in a quiet neighborhood

The hotel is very chill, only a block away from Kyoto Station, neighborhood is on the quiet side, close to a big Aeon mall

the designated smoking area is open air & close to other seating area 😞

We had a great time. Would definately return.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Sekura Terrace. Our room was very comfortable and had everything we needed. The hotel is very well located, close to the station and all the sites were easy to access. We enjoyed breakfast - it had a big selection of food and it was very good. We had dinner in the hotel on one night which was good too. The Welcome drink was very welcome! We also used the Public Bath which was relaxing. And also made use of the free laundry which was extremely useful.

Établissement assez coûteux qui n’est pas dans les standards des business hôtels du Japon.

Chambre spacieuse avec balcon, située à environ 500 mètres de Kyoto station et près d’un magasin d’alimentation.

Par contre, plusieurs points négatifs: - propreté de la chambre laissant à désirer (c’est bien la première fois que ça nous arrive au Japon, reconnu pour sa propreté!) - pas de changement de taies d’oreillers au moment du changement des draps (insistance par plusieurs stratégies pour les faire changer, sans résultat); - personnel indifférent à la réception, tardant à nous répondre.

Excellent stay- would definately stay there again should we visit Kyoto

Breakfast was amazing- a little confsing on Day1 to have to buy at reception rather than at the resturant. The bar staff were lovely and very helpful. Location- so close to Kyoto station and Taxi rank. Lovely downstairs relaxing area- and music at night was lovely. The verandah off the room was a bonus!

The reception staff were not as friendly or as helpful as the rest of the staff

Great Atmosphere

Great atmosphere for relaxing. Free drink in the evening. Nice restaurant. Room has a great shower. Room with balcony has lots of space.

ロビーの開放感、朝食のラインナップ、京都駅からの立地の良さ。

ロビーの開放感に比べて、照明が抑えられた室内、ベッドの横が清掃されておらずホコリだらけでがっかりした。ベッドサイドに充電できる場所が欲しかった。

Great services, amenities, and location.

Excellent location, amenities, and services for guests. From coffee, tea, laundry, welcome drinks and reasonably priced dinner. It was a great stay. The room size is very typical Japanese and when we asked for an extra set of pillows we were provided them no problem. Great stay.

Perfection

I loved the cool vibe of the place with its inner courtyard offering free beverages and evening live jazz filtering through the open spaces. The restaurant menu, although a bit all over the place, offers great value just for guests on top quality beef. Be sure to enjoy the baths and catch up on your laundry. Love the lounge clothes provided as well. Staff were super helpful, making efforts even while dealing with language barriers. It was an oasis after a hard day of touristing!

I didn’t like that guests were allowed to smoke in the open air lobby. The wind always seemed to be blowing toward the seating area for the drink bar.

Nice rooms, awesome location and cool lounge area downstairs.

The room was clean and spacious. Our room had a big balcony with a nice view. The hotel is close to the station and several shops and restaurants. The complimentary drinks were nice and brought out the other guests in the lounge for a cool vibe with live music.

The fitness center was not really a fitness center because there were only treadmills available, no weights or other machines. Which was kind of a dissapointment.

A great base for sightseeing.

Very helpful multilingual staff. A restaurant that is worth visiting for the seafood starters and sliced beef if you just want a quiet night. A free GnT each evening. Breakfast is well worth paying for with a good Japanese vegetable plus pork or dumpling option if you don’t want European breakfast. Room cleaning spot on.

As with all non premium Japanese hotels, there is next to no rail space and only enough room for one case.

洗練された外観と快適な室内環境に、心からくつろぐことができました。大浴場のご用意や、1日1杯の無料ドリンクサービスなど、細やかなおもてなしに感銘を受けました。特に、お酒を楽しめる機会をいただけたことは、滞在をより思い出深いものにしてくれました。

私の見落としかもしれませんが、客室内のコンセントの配置について気づいた点がございます。現状では玄関付近にのみコンセントが設置されているようで、ベッド周辺での電子機器の使用に若干の不便を感じました。

Lovely stay

Great location, super close walk to Kyoto station which is where the Bullet Train will drop you if you are coming from a different city so it’s very convenient with luggage etc. The staff are great and there is a 7/11 one corner away

Best buffet breakfast you will ever eat !

No electric outlets in the bathroom for hair dryer. Only two low watt light bulbs in the bathroom ceiling and no vanity lighting for the mirror so shaving and putting on makeup is next to impossible.

Fantastisk frukost, enormt utbud och väldigt gott och vällagat.

Frukostmatsalen var underdimensionerad så varje morgon fick man sitta utomhus och vänta innan man fick bord. Hårda sängar och lika hårda kuddar.

Comfort, style and convenience.

This stylish hotel is ideally located within a very short walking distance to key Kyoto amenities, including the train station. The hotel is equipped with great facilities like a bar, restaurant and patio that make it more than a place to simply sleep; it’s a place to spend time and relax. The staff were very helpful and happy to answer any questions and accommodate requests. The room is slightly on the smaller side which made it tricky to use/access suitcases, but having the balcony was a great compromise!

The bed pillow was too thin for my personal preference. I wish there were bedside tables and power points on both sides of the bed.

A relaxing and wonderful stay in Japan

This was our favorite stay in Japan. We stayed for 3 nights and could have stayed longer. We loved being close to the station for easy access to day trips. The shared spaces at the hotel including the public bath, gym + free laundry, lounge areas with tea and massage chair, made us feel so relaxed and at home. For the price of the stay, we felt this was a very great value!

Amazing stay. Loved Kyoto and we thoroughly enjoyed our accomodation

The hotel had great facilities and service. Public bath was clean and had everything you need. We received a complementary beverage every evening, along with tea and coffee 24/7. The lobby area was nice and included outdoor fireplaces. It was also a 2 minute walk from the Kyoto station which was super handy.
