Quaint with old world charm, spacious areas and beautifully decorated with art and artifacts. The grounds were lovely.
It is located on a very steep incline that was a little difficult to maneuver.

The hotel had a romantic esthetic and the view was nice.
I am not a person who needs the lap of luxury but I do need a few things that are not a lot to ask. This was just above camping. NO WIFI. In this day and age and for the modern amenities that San Miguel has, I would expect some type of Wifi to reach the rooms. I was getting strong signals from all other hotels near by. Bare bones room. No mats in the bathroom, no washcloths, mats and received 4 towels total for the 5 days we were there for two people. No place to set stuff down. No desk, dresser. Housekeeping came twice in 5 days and only changed the sheets once. We had a room right above the restaurant fan. But 90% of the rooms are adjacent to the restaurant. Restaurant music played 8am-11pm Wed-Sunday. No English speaking staff...only one person working at a time. No coffee in a lobby. They do bring coffee and a store bought pastry and quaker oat bar in the morning, but both were terrible, coffee instant and lukewarm. It was sad that the management doesn't fix these issues. I wish this place was doable. I should have paid $120 a night somewhere else, I paid $66 per night. It was not worth the inconveniences to save a few hundreds dollars. I would not stay here again. It kind of put a major damper on our trip.

Really loved the rustic feel of this place and how at home I felt in the room.
The only thing I can complain about is the noise from the surrounding areas and the lack of curtain on the door facing the balcony.

parking situation got complicated for leaving early in the morning but the staff was helpful

Friendly staff, big room, good location!
Wifi was available only outside of the room. The room and furniture were dirty and even an empty bottle of water was inside. Not comfortable location of the sockets.

There was not a mirror in the bathroom, and although it was requested it was not provided

Location was centrally located.
Windows we’re missing screens therefore , mosquitoes were a major issue.

Room was big, decoration of the room was incredible. It felt like staying at someone's place and not a hotel. We were able to walk to restaurants and bars.
the bathroom was not comfy, hot water took too long and water pressure was weak. Curtains did not block the light so you wake up early in the morning and there is a lamp just outside the room. Is not the best resting experience

Nice rustic vibe and good central location.
There was very loud music very close to the hotel. This made it hard to sleep. The staff were not very accommodating. We asked to use a toilet before we left but they said no.

To be honest, no a lot. Maybe the plants and wildlife outside, and that’s it.
They had just painted all the furniture a very dark colour - almost black. My room stunk of fumes from the varnish. The room was different to the photos, as all the woodwork had been painted black. The room and bathroom was packed out with mosquitoes. The room wasn’t mosquito-proof. There was no windows, only doors to the outside shared patio. I didn’t like the interior of the room and wasn’t comfortable. I don’t know where they got the idea from to paint all the furniture and woodwork black? It was a bit depressing and too outdated, it gave the room a dark gothic look, which I do not like. The painting I didn’t like, either... Of weird figures - an angel and a devil. I think that art is very personal, and not all art is going to be to everyone’s taste.
