Since there was nobody in the neighboring cabin, we were very secluded. The bed was amazingly comfortable, and the kitchen was one of the best stocked rental kitchens I've seen. You can tell the owners cook! Having coffee in the rocking chairs on the front porch while enjoying the great green felt so relaxing. I was sad to leave after only a couple of days!

The property was evidently double booked! I only rated 1 star because there wasn't an option for 0. The house was extremely hard to find. I text the host for help but got no reply. I went through the Evolve automated process and it could not find a current or future booking for my stay! When we finally found the address the home was occupied with a large barking dog inside, no-one came to the door. We had to cancel our plans and go home! Terrible customer service at VRBO, it has been two days and I still haven't been contacted by the host nor either company. I will definitely not be booking any new rentals through either company.

We checked in on a Thursday and left on a Sunday. The cabin was prepared and stocked when we got there, and is at the end of a longish gravel road. I have a high torque RWD car, and the gravel road worried me a bit, but I never had any problems over my 4 days there. The cabin offers great privacy, and was more than enough room for just my partner and I. When we left, we both agreed that we'd love to get the exact same unit again in the future.

The property and the house was excellent; one of the cuter places we have stayed at! All the needed amenities were available. Getting to the cabin would be considered harrowing if you're not used to mountain life (gravel roads with 45 degree inclines/declines and a couple switchbacks). After ten hours of driving we were greeted by a curmudgeonly old man on a golf cart who yelled at us about things we didn't do before we even pulled into the neighborhood, which was weird. But overall a great spot and I would definitely recommend!

We enjoyed this very secluded cabin in the woods. Such a beautiful property, the renters took care of us very well. Provided all the essentials needed to cook and have a cozy weekend. The only thing is the gravel road was very windy and caught us off guard at first…. It was absolutely worth and it was perfect for our truck to get up there. We had everything we needed and we were so happy that we were able to bring our dogs along. We had a fantastic stay!!

Our stay at the Wood Shop Cabin was absolutely perfect! We were surrounded by a beautiful landscape with an amazing place to celebrate our anniversary! The owner (Craig) was very informative about how to get to the cabin. He also was kind enough to remember our anniversary with a special gift! We both appreciated the hospitality very much! The cabin was very clean and had all the amenities we needed for a wonderful stay! Thank you, Craig, for sharing this special place with us. We will definitely be planning another stay at the Wood Shop Cabin!

Most comfortable cabin we've ever stayed in. We just kept walking around after first arriving and finding thoughtful surprises that made the experience like home. From the new Keurig coffee maker to the large size shampoo, conditioner and body wash. Name brand as well!! A stock of DVDs, games and puzzles wait in a cabinet that pairs perfectly with the large HD TV and Dish network. WIFI was faster than home. Cooking dinner on the outdoor gas grill (which was almost brand new) was prefect! The steaks and burgers were simple to get to when I needed to turn 'em. I sat in my rocker next to the grill, watching the smoke rolling up as I sipped on my Bullitt and Coke. Cool breezes through the mountain top trees lifted my spirits as the covered deck was totally in the shade.
One final add on. Our stay coincided with the 2022 lunar eclipse and full blood moon. The entire "show" was perfectly framed in a V between two tall ever greens and the owners had even supplied lawn chairs which I sat up in the drive facing East. BTW, the chairs were not just for us but as another surprise add on supplied by the owners. They thought of everything!
Tucked away between Fontana Lake and Bryson City and less than 1/2 mile to access the Appalachian Trail, this is a gem!

Great, modern property well equipped and decorated very tastefully. Didn't care for the drive up to it and that did put us off going back during the day. I followed my GPS but in hindsight should have read the written instructions which say follow the bear signs! Also glad we met nobody coming the other way. Anyway owners supplied coffee, creamer, sweeteners, shower gel, shampoo and conditioner which was a lovely surprise. Wonderful place!

I enjoyed my stay very much here. The place was nice cozy and quiet. The views were limited but pretty. The driveway there is long and rough .. I thought my 2 wheel drive might not make it. The check in process was emailed only and made it a little more difficult to recall.

What a cozy little cabin! It had everything we need and the mountains were absolutely gorgeous. The host was very accommodating and you can tell that everything was very well-maintained.
We had so much fun we stayed an extra day! Also, there is another cabin called the Coop and that has the screened in porch, not the Workshop. Also Be aware that there is not a washer and dryer. We didn’t need one since we stayed only 4 nights but it might be something to think about if you’re staying for a week or longer.
No cell service (ATand T), but WiFi worked great. We loved all the little extras, like USB ports on the bedside table and the new keurig duo coffee pot was awesome.
