it's old but well maintained and clean. The breakfast is great. The staff is friendly.
It's far from the city centre.

Comfortable bed, quiet location. The front desk will exchange money at a reasonable exchange rate. Front desk was friendly and well staffed.
It's pretty far from everything so you need a ride to get into town (which to be fair you can see ahead of time on the map so I don't really fault them). Also the second floor rooms were very uncomfortably warm. I had to figure out how much to crack the window and let in the freezing cold outside air to balance the stuffiness to get to a comfortable sleeping temperature.

The location is way out of town. So if you don't have a car, you are limited to a taxi to go anywhere

The staff was wonderful. Super friendly and helpful, they were the best part of Koi Aiken.
It was further away from the town center than I initially thought. The views on all sides of the hotel were obstructed by abandoned or rundown buildings. It was warm and there was no air conditioner units or fans, so I had to rely on an open window to keep the room cool at night…not ideal. The hot water out of the faucet and shower was scalding hot and almost impossible to balance with the cold water - it took some fine tuning to get it right so I didn’t burn myself. The bed was two twin mattresses pushed together, so I either slept on one side of had issues with the crack in the middle all night, so that was super annoying for a big guy like me.

Friendly and helpful staff. Decent facilities. We managed to join our group with help from the staff despite being given incorrect information

Was located close to downtown, the breakfast has good variety and there was a lot of nature around.
Some items need maintenance, the water was extremely HOT that I burnt my legs, some chairs had nails sticking out very dangerous, the heater couldn’t be turned off and they didn’t had aircon, the tv was small and old, and the wifi was unsecured as there was no password.

The first moment I arrived, there was this sweet smell in the air. When I entered my room with the help of Fernando, there was an even sweeter smell and I was greeted by Lago Argentino in my window. There was no AC. I get hot very easily but keeping the windows open at night made the room nice and cool. Breakfast is so-so and it is a drive to downtown but I wanted to be in nature. Plus there is a sauna for free after those long treks. Most importantly, the staff is amazing. Btw, that sweet fragrance was from the soaps that are from El Calafate plants (and other plants they sell soap from. ). Also, the decor was superb!

The host was very frendly, she made us sandwiches and coffee as soon as we arrived and she took care of us until the last day! Delicious breakfast and dinner. Very good value for the money.
The rooms located near the restaurant are noisy;
