Todo hotel no.mundo inteiro oferece cobertor, enredo, etc. Qualquer hotel do.mundo, menos vocês.

+ nicely decorated and furnished common area - so many big beautiful plants!
+ several nice sofas in the common area
+ great breakfast
- the whole house is already quite run down
- old bed sheets, pillows, mattrace
- staff was not as friendly as I would expect from a pousada
- not even handsoap in the bathroom

The vibrant city around
4.0
Location is great and rooms were huge. A great choice for a colonial centre stay but the management can do better. Despite this I would stay again.
1. They charged for soap in the bathroom
2. I asked for an iron and was provided with one that did not function.
3. Rooms facing the street are a little noisy. I stayed in 2 seperate rooms
4. Bedlinen is a bit small for the bed and frequently, the mattress gets exposed.

Everything is exceptional in a fantastic city. I have traveled all over the world for 40 years or so. This hotel is wonderful. First rate pousada. I believe it is a converted mansion or significant property. Ambience, surroundings, everything are without words to describe adequately. I could easily live here.

Amazing historical building being nicely restored by owners
4.0
it is very well located, inside the downtown and next the attractions.
the property is a wonderful old house, plenty of green and antiquary things
the neighborhood is very noise. I advise ear taps.
And the hotel is been restructured. So we still find powder everywhere. I hope the the structure will be better in the next months

Great location in the middle of town.
Bathroom was constantly leaking, rooms looked nothing like the photo at booking, sheets had stains, no soap or other toiletries provided. Staff was unhelpful in providing basic amenities or assisting with locating a pharmacy when needed.

perfect location in historical downtown
nice atmosphere
very basic pousada (no soap, small bed linen, threadbare towels)
very limited attention towards the cliente

Very well located in the historic center of São Luís.
It needs a huge amount of maintenance and cleaning

Extremely beautiful colonial building with amazing indoor garden/yard to sit and have a drink or play cards..

The location was great.
It could use a bit of a renovation, and no soap or shampoo were provided.

Great location close to the historic old town. Friendly staff. Historic building with character.
I received a smaller room than what I reserved online and did not receive a refund. Good value for the accommodation but the restrooms could use an upgrade.

Only the location and the architecture, its a pity it isnt taken care of properly.
The bedroom was smaller than the description in the booking. The beds pillows were dirty and the extra cushions smelled of perspiration. The bathroom was not at all clean and toilet blocked after 1 use, terrible. The breakfast was very very poor for Brazilian standards.

The hotel atmosphere is incredible as most hotels in the 'historical centre'. Options for breakfast are quite decent. Most of the staff is nice. The garden is very nice.
The Wi-Fi connection was below standards in rooms and even at the reception. The cleaning staff only collected my trash twice in 7 days, which was unexpected. My room had not a real window as the view was a beautiful wall of the corridor.

The location is perfect in the historic heart of Sao Luis and the pousada is in a charming set of historical houses with beautiful spaces. Just around the corner is an area with a lot of live music, bars, restaurants and a market. So it is not a quiet place but very friendly and lively.
The breakfast area is messy, tables are too high for chairs, chairs are folded against tables in case of rain. The breakfast itself is ok, but they really need to do something about the room. It would cost very little to lower the tables a bit and in the morning of a dry day to put the chairs out in a friendly way.
