Lovely small hotel set in gorgeous gardens with a lake and swimming pools. We had two lovely large rooms across from the main building. Our rooms had lovely facilities and furnishings. We stayed for 2 nights and ate at the hotel each night which had a good menu choice. We had the continental breakfast which was enough for us but wider options also available. The hotel recommended Mildred Lucas for tour and jungle walk of the Palenque Archeological Zone. Mildred was amazing and we had the best guide and walk and I would highly recommend this for your visit to Palenque. We saw and heard howler monkeys whilst there so an extra special part of our visit too. We had a hire car and safe parking in the grounds of the hotel and we explored Palenque town a little too and lovely restaurants in the town available too. I would recommend this hotel and the small size provides a lovely feel and environment. We found all the staff here very friendly, helpful and professional. We would love to return.

Everything was perfect! The rooms are spacious and the details on the property will blow your mind! This has to be the best place to stay in Palenque!
Nothing

Everything was done at the highest level of excellency. the staff, the rooms, the grounds and the restaurant.

The included breakfast was coffee, bread, fruit, granola, yogurt and watermelon water. excellent. no protein though. could order breakfast from menu.
Had dinner all three nights in the Hotel and the service was excellent as was the food. Why go anywhere else.
At night we could watch the bats hunt bugs and hear the Howler monkeys.

Charming boutique hotel in a rain forest-type setting outside of town. Really enjoyed the tropical feel along with the birds and monkey sounds around us. Rooms and facilities were very clean and well kept. The food and drinks at the hotel were delicious. here is only a few rooms in the hotel so we felt like we had the place to ourselves. It costs a little more than you would pay in town but my wife and I thought it was a good value. Having an on-sit masseuse was a huge plus after a long day of tromping around the ruins!

The room was huge and well-appointed with a mini bar stocked with not only complimentary water but also with complimentary beer & soft drinks. The bathroom was also huge & the shower had 2 shower heads, a regular one & a rain shower one overhead. The a/c worked fine as well as the 2 ceiling fans. The outdoor porch sitting area was very nice, too. The staff were all very helpful, cheerful & nice. Lastly, the food was truly excellent!!
The only thing we didn’t like was the very noisy racket made by the howling monkeys @ 4 in the morning which lasted almost an hour. I used earplugs in both ears & I could still hear them. I realize that’s something the hotel can do nothing about & it only happened on one of the 3 nights we stayed. We would only like to recommend d putting a towel bar inside the enormous shower. That would be convenient for hanging wet swesuots or just your bath towel.

beautiful surroundings, clean , great staff
that I had to leave

Very comfortable and large room, comfy bed and AC/ceiling fan worked well. Breakfast and lunch at the restaurant were very good and reasonably priced. Staff was helpful and friendly.
Asked hotel for advice about taxis from VSA but they did not respond. Luckily this was not a problem. TV options were pretty limited.

Really stunning property. We loved the jungle environment and definitely loved the pool. The breakfast everything morning was also good. The staff was lovely and super helpful.
I felt that the price did not match the hotel. The rooms are pretty outdated, especially the bathroom. It was infested with mosquitos so we kept our bathroom door closed and rushed in when we needed to be in there. That being said, the staff did provide us with extra repellent, a mosquito light, and a mosquito repellent plug in.

lush grounds

friendly staff - especially in the restaurant
very comfortable room with lots of space, critter free which is important to me in the jungle
good location for Palenque archeological site
their recommended driver - Sergio - looked after us for
4 days. he was great and I would highly recommend. he’s not a tour guide; but he’s so much more than a driver. we appreciated being driven everywhere privately, beating crowds and having someone take care
of our tickets, tolls, taxes, boats and we got enough explanations through the powers of Google translate for what we needed
didn’t see any other guests the whole time - suggest a happy hour to get everyone together

we loved our stay. location, facilities, garden and staff were great. this place is unique. the only thing that could be improved is the restaurant, in our opinion.

If you are looking for a slice of heaven, don't hesitate to visit this charming resort.
Honestly, I don't know where to begin. We arrived around 3pm, after a long drive from San Cristobol de las Casas, tired and hungry.
We were welcomed by Daniel and given a tour of the property. Nothing short of amazing, but we hadn't eaten since 8AM and it was now after 3pm and our hunger took precedence. Misael greeted us in the restaurant and quickly brought cervezas and margaritas while we perused the menu and took in the Mayan decor of the dining room. Lunch was perfect! Tostadas for the Mr. and a Chiapan chicken dish for me.
We retired to our room which was very large, with a super comfy bed, where we proceeded to fall asleep. We woke up hungry and opted for room service. Misael brought us a beautiful plate of antipasto and wine. Perfect end to a long day.
The following day we were served by Carlos and Ulises during the day. Wonderful breakfast, followed by a trip to the Palenque archeological site, arranged by the front office. They also arranged for a massage for me, for the following day.
We spent the afternoon by the amazing pools reading and entertained by the Howler Monkeys (so amazing), followed by another amazing lunch and dinner in the dining room.
The primary purpose for our visit, besides to visit the arch. site, was relaxation. The hotel and staff delivered more than could have been expected. The massage therapist was exceptional! The beauty and tranquility of the property and accommodations were a dream. We literally felt as though we had stepped back to a place in time where things moved slower, nature was an adventure and a holiday was to be savored.
We enjoyed each and every lovingly prepared meal at the hotel and each and every visit with the staff. What they have is so precious and clearly they all cherish and nurture it!
I can't think of a single thing.

The property was located in a beautiful jungle location close to the Palenque ruins. There were many animals that could be seen while on the property. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful and the hotel included a restaurant. The staff went out of their way on multiple occasions to ensure we had a memorial visit.

This is the best quality hotel in Palenque. The food was excellent as was the service. There are only 8 rooms so the attention you receive is very dedicated. We found the food in Palenque be quite mediocre so having delicious food at the hotel was a blessing! the room was very large and comfortable.
I would have liked the price to reflect the rustic style of the property. I think it was a bit overpriced compared to all hotels in the area, but I suppose they justify the price knowing it’s the best hotel in town. We stayed at an AirBnB that had great reviews one night, and it didn’t come close to competing with this hotel.

the staff was very nice and accommodating. close to PALENQUE. the mini fridge in the rooms had free drinks.
it felt aged, the rooms need a face lift asap. the food was not great and the hotel felt empty.

Gorgeous property, well kept. Wonderful staff!

Lots of detail.
Clean.
Great service.
Great food.
Beautiful grounds.
Friendly and accommodating staff.
Noticiable the owner has a talent for detail.
Owner concerned about fraud wanted guests to write credit card info on sheet of paper, which was declined. Seemed like owner was a bit jaded from perhaps previous guests or trends of fraud.
Was a bit awkward some of the requests but the rest of staff was friendly and helpful.

We had the hotel for us alone. It had an amazing jungle garden and pool and the atmosphere is top. The staff was super friendly gave us tips what to visit and showed us all the animals of the property. Really our compliments to everyone that works for Quinta Chanabnal!

it’s a cosi paradies right in the jungle… if you stay relaxed viewing the lake you will see wild monks, alligator, iguana and big red parrots.
only 8 rooms

The hotel is realy beautiful. Everything is designed and thought out with a lot of sttentuob to detail ! The staff was really nice and made us feel at home. Everything made us feel comfortable, at ease and well. The hotel (ambience, team, outside spaces) has an extremely positive energy. The restaurant is very good.
4.7
Wonderful design, spectacular groiunds and facilities.
Staff were outstanding, nothing too much problem which included getting soaked when we arrived in a rainstorm.
Active proprietor, very interesting person.
Thoroughly enjoyed our time, stayed an extra night.

This place is magical. It's worth the price. The amazing foliage and atmosphere of the property is stunning. The restaurant was delicious as well, and the staff were very kind. The owner came by to greet us at dinner. Wifi was strong.
I wish they had a jacuzzi.
4.7
Really Nice! Especially because of all the animals there. Very peaceful place.
4.7
Beautiful hotel full of wildlife.
4.7
Wow this place was the best hotel we stayed at on our trip to Mexico! We drove ourselves from San Cristobal which was fun but slow - ignore the articles saying it is unsafe, they are out of date.
The jungle and lake and pool area are special and unique and the room and bed were fantastic, get the upgraded room if you can afford it! only a few km from the ruins and an animal sanctuary.
no bath tub. the dinner is only ok - but there are alternative places to eat nearby and in the town centre if you have a car.
4.7
Fantastic boutique hotel offering privacy, excellently spacious accomodation in a peaceful setting with wonderful food, friendly staff and beautiful gardens.
Nothing. It was absolutely superb on every level.
4.7
Mostly wonderful and friendly staff and beautiful grounds.
Our room was extremely hot and A/C was so loud even on the lowest setting.
4.7
The hotel is not the cheapest but it’s worth every penny. We were so satisfied with the hotel and the service of the staff that we booked an extra night. The rooms are beautiful and comfortable. The bathroom amenities are of a high quality. The hotel also has a very good restaurant where you can dine in style. The garden of the hotel offers cosy corners where you can watch birds, iguanas,…. There is even a little crocodile in the lake. And last but not least, if you’re into margaritas, the best ones we had during our stay in Mexico.
Really nothing.
