Beautiful view, nice little spa, amazing shoulder pounding shower thing in the pool. Renata is so gracious. The restaurant next door was spectacular.
The only negative was a weird repetitive pounding sound all night. not sure what that was, but it was annoying.

My son and husband walked the Camino de Santiago in 2015 and found and stayed at this gem. Andrea was so hospitable to them. They loved it! In May of this year, my husband I went together, as he promised me he would take me to Fisterra :-) and we had a gorgeous balcony and sea view and close walk to the beach. We heard crashing waves outside, it was spectacular! Room was extremely comfortable and the breakfast was AMAZING! Fresh fruits, jamon, cheese, fabulous breads, pastries and amazing coffee! And the fresh squeezed orange juice!!! The entire team was fabulous! When we arrived, Andrea sent her counterpart to greet us and she was awesome! We highly recommend Hotel Mar da Ardora, it was perfect and they are so helpful and friendly. We felt like family. The spa was an added plus. Will return someday soon! Don't miss this opportunity in this slice of heaven.

The location was central and easy to find. Staff was amazing...........................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................
The extra pillow layer on the bed, super uncomfortable. Each room has a tablet, never seen it. Balcony without a roof is useless in a place where it rains a lot. Nonfunctional bathroom: over the top decor without towel rails, toilet roll holder, no shelf space in the shower.

Very friendly staff. Great breakfast. Would highly recommend booking a massage in the wellness center. Location is great, with a lovely view!
Room was only swiftly cleaned. In the wellness area, the sauna (steam bath) wasn't really warm. Hot tub and hot chairs were good!

The best place to view the sunset in Finisterre. All rooms have seaview. A short walk to a beautiful beach. And a nice outdoor bar with view to the sunset and great mojitos.

All the hotel room face the west so we were able to watch the nice sunset from the comfort of our room (it was so cold and windy to go out to the beach that evening). Room was nice, clean and has balcony to sit and enjoy the ocean view. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was just too little to choose, kind of disappointed.
The layout of the bathroom was bad, the sink was the smallest we ever encountered (total this trip 25 nights, 16 hotels), that caused water to splash all over the floor. The worst was in the shower had no place to put soap or shampoo bottle at all, so I had to put it on the floor. It was not good because it could cause accident when you have to bend down to reach it. To turn the bathroom light on you have to slide the bathroom door close first before going inside the bathroom and there the switch on the wall. It was a big disappointment for the name of this hotel that has the words “Spa”.

View, room and spa facility (simply because I had the facility to myself, its quite small)
Service, staff, neighbouring restaurant; food overrated and non-accomodating service

Great sea view from window
Loved the spa ( extra payment but good value )
No facilities to make own drinks and breakfast was minimal

I stayed in this place 3 years ago, and had a good experienceso myself and 5 others went back on my recommendation. The place was fine , you have to pay to use the spa facilities unlike my previous visit, which I thought was okay as its post covid , and they need to make money. The hotel was fine, food experience awful.
The hotel room was fine, my complaint is about the restaurant which is attached to the hotel, and owned by the same person. Upon my recommendation I booked myself and 5 friends for an evening meal (big mistake) Being a lifelong Vegetarian, and one who totally dislikes a fuss, I previewed the menu, but requested a simple meal of mushroom pasta or any veg (at 3pm, dinner was booked for 8pm.) I informed the owner/server I had pre-requested at reception, a simple meal, she told me that I cant have that as 'the chef cant cook it' but I could have a seaweed dish, and she was shocked and insisted (strongly) I try it, I said id prefer not to and could the chef whip something simple up considering I had told her hours earlier, the owner was not happy that I was not complying, and became quite irate, and then we were re-informed she grows everything herself in the garden , but considering the average price of the dishes were18 to e24, the food was not cheap! The atmosphere totally changed and herself and the waitress became quite hostile!! We were all made feel very uncomfortable and the pair glared at us (me mostly) for the rest of the short evening. I have eaten all over the world, and have never been forced to eat what the owner would prefer me to eat!! In the morning I went down for breakfast , said waitress was there, and was still hostile in her demeanor, I ordered tea, it arrived, no milk, so I popped over to the counter to get some, and I was told off for doing so. 3 years ago one could use the counter area to help oneself to milk, water etc, but not any more!!! She had her arms crossed on my way back from getting milk!! There is a serious personnel problem in this hotel and I would not recommend it at all! I am aware post covid its tough to make a living but decency and decorum must prevail no matter what happens! I was hungry and embarrassed after the meal that I subjected 5 of my friends to this debacle. never again :(

I can’t say enough good about this place and my stay. The location was beautiful, the room was clean and comfortable, the view was excellent and the staff was wonderful. Lola graciously got me checked in and Renata went out of her way to take care of me. Breakfast and snacks were delicious and made with care. The restaurant on property was very cool.
If I ever get back to this lovely little corner of the world, I will stay here again.
Nothing, not one thing.
