location, close to beach
room was dirty, covers were dirty I had to request the be changed, additionally, they didn’t have the correct size pillow cases on so most of the pillow was exposed which was gross, water pressure was terrible, got locked out of our room because the door lock ran out of battery and had to be changed, cobwebs throughout, noise from pool all hours of the night and no control over what time the pool is closed, no working heater in room, only air. overall the property is nice and historic but it you want a good nice rest, clean linen, comfy mattress and good water pressure when you shower, do not go to this place.

it’s dated …but still clean and comfortable

I did like that we had a room right on the water and we sat on the deck and watched the pelicans diving for food all night. The grounds were nice to walk around. Clearly, back in the day this was a wonderful resort. Now... it's still ok but showing it's age. This is a huge hotel that seems to cater to weddings and events. On the day we were there it was almost empty. The staff was friendly enough but didn't really seem too eager to go out of their way. The restaurant did open for breakfast which was pretty good. Personally, I wouldn't go out of my way to stay there again. If you are there for an event it's probably ok.
On the day we arrived the bar and restaurant was closed. I ended making a long walk to an OXXO for beer and chips for dinner. The door to our room looked like it had been busted into many times and only opened partway which was kind of funny as we squeezed through. The door latch worked but just barely.

Great location.
Dated rooms and facilities. A/c unit in the room was loud.

Location is awesome. Sunset and view from my balcony were wonderful.
Staff was very friendly.
The property needs a little TLC but then that was also part of the charm of the place. It is an old building and that gave it a feel unlike what you get in a more modern place.
