We had an excellent stay in tha appartment. Best view ever!

The apartment is very nice with a gorgeous view of Lake Como. You can sit on the balcony and watch the boats on the lake with your morning coffee. You can watch the lights come on, as the sun sets, of the city across the lake, with a glass of wine. You can also see some of the magical events at the famous Villa Balbianello. The apartment is situated on a hill, so be prepared to hike some steps either up or down. I recommend renting a car in Como to make easier to travel around the lake. We used Aziz and his taxi service to travel around and he was excellent (+39 375 557 3459).
Claudine Henry was an excellent host. She greeted us when we arrived and showed us around the apartment, and how everything worked. It has all the necessary amenities. She also showed us where and how to get to all the places that we were interested in seeing. We would highly recommend this apartment in Sala Comincina!

Nice appartment with beautiful views.
Claudine, the host, could not have been more helpful. She recommended a pharmacy and called ahead to speak to them in Italian for us.
The apartment is very secure being gated and has its own garage.
We liked Sala Comacina because it felt less touristy than some of the other towns on the lake but there are a lot of steps getting to and from the village!

A great location with a stunning view. We used the pool daily at this great apartment.
The apartment had everything you need, spotlessly clean with the owner on hand if anything was needed.

We enjoyed the spectacular view from our front balcony overlooking the Lake. Our hostess, Claudine, was very helpful, particularly getting us checked in and checked out and picked us up at the Bus Stop.
Access is much easier if you have a car, as garage parking available. We came by train and bus. The only drawback is for people with any kind of mobility issues. The good news is the view is great, the bad news is that there are a lot of steps either going down to the village or up to the access road.
But, if you are in good shape and have no mobility issues, it is a great choice.

Fantastisk utsikt i lugnt område
Utsikten från balkongen är fantastisk. Den har morgonsol och därmed skugga på kvällen, vilket är perfekt på sommaren. Det var så härligt att sitta på balkongen att det var svårt att förmå sig att ge sig iväg för att äta middag på en restaurang. Området är mycket lugnt, och ligger på den promenadvänliga Greenway di Lago en bra bit bort från trafiken på vägen närmast sjön. Lägenheten är välutrustad och vi saknade inget. Kommunikationen med Claudine var perfekt. Inför vår ankomst skickade hon en nogrann vägbeskrivning med foton och tips om mataffärer. Vårt flyg blev försenat, och Claudine väntade in oss trots vår ytterst sena ankomst. Vi fick också låna en garageplats till bilen. Saker som kan vara bra att veta: sopsorteringsstationen ligger en bit ifrån boendet, poolanvändningen är förknippad med en del regler (inte hoppa, inte dyka, inte kasta boll), det tillkommer en städavgift på 60 euro som det upplystes om på boendets egen hemsida, men inte på Vrbos när vi bokade.

Überragender Ausblick
Wunderschöne Wohnung mit super Blick auf den Comer See. Wir waren mit unseren 2 Kindern in der Wohnung und haben diese Zeit sehr genossen. Den Pool hatten wir eigentlich für uns alleine weil dieser von den Anwohner kaum genutzt wurde. Sala Comacina ist ein wunderschöner kleiner Ort. Wir sind abends immer in den Ort gelaufen wo die Kinder den kleinen Spielplatz und an dem kleinen Sandstrand gespielt haben. Claudine ist ein super Ansprechpartner und hat uns sehr viele Tipps gegeben. Vielen Dank für die schöne Woche.

The view is fantastic and the appartment is equiped with everything you might need. We loved to jump into the pool after a day of visiting. Claudine, the landlord, will do everything in order to helping you to have a good time.

Wunderschöner Blick auf den Comer See
Das Objekt liegt sehr abgelegen, so dass wir einige Zeit suchen mussten bis wir endlich angekommen sind.
Es gibt sehr viele Stufen und auch das parken ist etwas schwierig.
Die Wohnung ist ordentlich, es gibt alles was man braucht.
Das schönste ist allerdings der super Blick auf den See vom Balkon aus. Dort haben wir immer unsere Mahlzeiten genossen.
Die Vermieterin ist sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Von daher kann ich das Objekt weiter empfehlen.

Zum Wandern - ideal
Wer gerne wandert und das Auto auch mal stehen lassen will ist hier gut aufgehoben. Zu Fuß, mit Bus oder Schiff kommt man überall hin. Bisschen Zeit einplanen, aber man hat ja eh Urlaub. Die Wohnung ist bestens ausgestattet und morgens kann man super auf dem Balkon frühstücken.

Wir (Familie mit 2 erwachsenen Kindern) haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Wir waren fasziniert von dem traumhaften Aussicht vom Balkon auf den Comer See.

Verblijf
Prima appartement voor een aantal dagen tot een week. Wij verbleven er in het najaar en het was overal prettig rustig. Veel trappen van en na het huisje,maar wel een prima parkeergelegenheid. Gastvrouw heeft veel uitleg gegeven.

Entspannte Auszeit
Wir waren bis gestern mit 2 Kindern (6/9) für eine Woche im Herbst dort und hatten eine wirklich tolle Zeit. Es war die perfekte Auszeit zum Ausgleich zum Leben in der Stadt.
Wir hatten Glück mit dem Wetter und konnten eine Woche morgens bei Sonnenschein frühstücken und den tollen Blick auf den See genießen.
Es ist eine wirklich verwunschene Atmosphäre. Hin und wieder startet ein kleines Wasserflugzeug, was wir mit den Kindern aus der Entfernung beobachten konnten. Es füllt das Tal mit einem seltsamen angenehmen Klang. Durch die Lage etwas weiter oben gelegen, ist es sehr ruhig. Die beiden Orte Sala Comancina und Collono sind alte und dadurch sehr schöne Ortschaften. Es macht Spass die verwinkelten Gassen zu erkunden. Eine Treppe führt vom Haus direkt runter zum Wasser. Dort haben wir oft einfach am Wasser gesessen, Zeitung gelesen und die Kinder haben sich am Wasser mit den Enten und den kleinen Fischen beschäftigt.
Direkt am Haus führt ein Wanderweg entlang. Der sogenannte „Greenway". Von dort aus hat man ein tolle Aussicht auf den See und er führt durch verschiedene Ortschaften.
Man kann ausserdem eine Fähre nehmen und die anderen Orte am See besichtigen. Die Anlegestellen kann man zu Fuß erreichen. Nicht weit entfernt liegen die Orte Tremezzo und Menaggio die auch wirklich sehr schön sind und gut mit dem Auto erreichbar sind. Ganz in der Nähe, in der Ortschaft Argegno führt eine kleine Seilbahn auf den Berg, was auch toll war. Oben kann man wunderbar essen. Also lange Rede... unser Fazit ist: Die Lage bietet einfach tolle Möglichkeiten etwas zu unternehmen ohne viel vorher zu planen. Wir haben uns erst vor Ort angefangen zu informieren.
Das Apartment ist nicht allzu groß aber gemütlich und sehr sauber und mit allem ausgestattet. Wir haben uns dort sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Vermieterin Claudine ist sehr hilfsbereit und spricht sehr gut Englisch.
Da wir eine wirklich gute Zeit hatten und dass Gefühl, dass man die Ferienwohnung wirklich gut empfehlen kann, habe ich mir mal die Mühe gemacht und eine ausführliche Bewertung geschrieben.

Die Wohnung bietet alles, was man braucht, von Liegen für draußen und den Balkon bis zu einer gut ausgestatteten Küche. Mühsam empfanden wir die vielen Treppen hoch zur eigenen Garage und runter zur Straße. Die Brötchen wurden gebracht, wir können die Wohnung weiterempfehlen. Auch der Kontakt mit Claudine war gut, eine tolle Gastgeberin

Traumhaft
Wenn man den Tag mit dem Frühstück auf dem Balkon und dieser traumhaften Aussicht beginnen kann, dann ist es Urlaub pur. Sehr ruhige Lage, in gepflegter Anlage. Die Wohnung ist sehr gut ausgestattet, uns hat es an nichts gefehlt.

Traumhafte Ferienwohnung mit fantastischer Aussicht
Die Ferienwohnung entspricht genau dem Online-Inserat. Die Anfahrt oberhalb von Sala Comachina ist etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig, aber dafür bekommt man eine traumhafte Lage mit fantastischer Aussicht auf den Comer See. Die Wohnung ist modern eingerichtet und bietet alles was man benötigt. Ergänzt wird das Ganze noch mit einem Pool zum Abkühlen an heißen Tagen. Viele Ziele sind gut mit dem Auto oder per Schiff zu erreichen. Wir würden jederzeit wieder hier Urlaub machen und können diese Ferienwohnung auf alle Fälle weiterempfehlen. Danke für den schönen Urlaub.

Wunderbare Aussicht
Wir hatten in der ersten Woche Traumwetter und haben die Aussicht, den Pool und die schöne, saubere Wohnung sehr genossen. In den letzten Tagen hatten wir eine ausserordentliche Hochwasser Situation aber so haben wir die netten Nachbarn kennengelernt und ein Abenteuer erlebt. Der Host Claudine ist sehr zuvorkommend und hat auch in dieser Extremsituation geschaut, dass es uns an nichts fehlt! Vielen Dank dafür und wir werden gerne nochmals in einer ruhigeren Wetterlage kommen.
Sehr geschätzt haben wir auch den kleinen Strand, welcher über eine Steintreppe in ein paar Minuten erreichbar ist und auch in der Hochsaison ruhig ist.

Aufenthalt in Sala Comacina
Wir hatten einen sehr ruhigen und angenehmen Aufenthalt. Den Kindern hat der Pool den wir tagelang für uns alleine hatten sehr gut gefallen. Der Ausblick ist wirklich ein Traum und unser Sohn (2 Jahre) setzte sich morgens gleich auf den Balkon um Schiffe zu beobachten!
Die Lage des Objekts ist etwas abseits, man muss ein wenig die Hauptstraße ohne Bürgersteig benutzen um ins Zentrum (nutzten bis auf einmal das Auto um auch woanders hin zu gelangen, der Ort ist ja nicht groß) zu kommen und der Strand ist nicht wirklich ein Strand :). Das wars aber auch schon mit den nicht ganz positiven Dingen.

Erholsame Tage am Comer See
Schöne, komplett ausgestattete Wohnung exakt so wie beschrieben mit wunderbarer Aussicht über den See, groß genug für 4 Erwachsene. Eigene, abschließbare Garage im abgesicherten Parkdeck der Wohnanlage. Ruhige Lage mit direkt angrenzendem Spazierweg "Greenway".
Zufahrtsstraße (Sackgasse) ortsüblich eng, teilweise einspurig und unübersichtlich (keine Empfehlung für Wohnmobile oder Wohnanhänger).

gehalten was versprochen
Wir konnten eine Woche in dieser wunderschönen Umgebung verbringen, waren mit dem Quartier und der „Betreuung“ durch Claudine sehr zufrieden. Die Beschreibung entspricht der Wirklichkeit, der Ausblick ist einfach atemberaubend.
Auch für Rucksackreisende ist der Ort gut mit den öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln zu erreichen - Claudine holt die Ankommenden beim Bus ab. Von der Wohnung aus selbst kann man in wenigen Schritten die Treppen bergab die Haltestelle erreichen und mit Hilfe der mehr oder weniger verlässlichen Busse die Umgebung erkunden.
Die Ausstattung betreffend, kann ich mich den übrigen Kommentaren anschließen – alles top! Kleines Manko: Der „Wasserdruck“ des Warmwassers verdient seinen Namen nicht, hier müsste mal ein Installateur nachbessern.

Wir hatten noch nie eine Ferienwohnung mit einer solch spektakulären Aussicht und noch nie eine Ferienwohnung mit einer so netten Vermieterin! Claudine hat uns mit vielen Tipps für den Aufenthalt und für die Umgebung versorgt und war einfach großartig!
Neben der Aussicht und dem Pool hat uns besonders gefallen, dass man innerhalb von 5 Minuten zu Fuß treppab eine Badestelle direkt am Comer See gelangen konnte!
Von uns eine volle Empfehlung für dieses Apartment!

Fabulous Stay at Sala Comacina
Having previously stayed at Menaggio and Varenna on Lake Como we found that the outlook from Claudine's lovely property was by far the most picturesque view.
The property was as portrayed: spotlessly clean, well equipped ... and most importantly with the most magnificent view to bask in at any time of the day. We couldn't have asked for anything more.
Claudine is without doubt the most responsive, welcoming and charming host we have encountered in many visits to Italy over the past 10 years. She could not have been more helpful and her assistance in booking our return taxi journey and also coming to the property early to assist us in our exit was greatly appreciated.
We agree with previous comments that the trip by foot on the main road to Sala Comacina is a little fraught, however were comforted when we saw a very elderly couple making the same trip confidently; something they'd obviously been doing for a very long time! We traversed it safely numerous times over the week in both the day and evening, and it was certainly worth the effort. Again, we agree with others who commented on the beauty encountered by taking the Greenway walk between the villages which was both safer and provided a much better view of the beautiful lake and town(s).
Although the ferry connections are less frequent than some of the larger lakeside towns, we found that we could easily commute in either direction by bus. The only slight drawback is that these cease early in the evening, so you perhaps need to plan to eat locally (or at home - which we did often) if you do not have a car.
Overall we absolutely loved our stay at Claudine's wonderful property and look forward to staying there again in the future.

Sala Comacina
The view of Lake Como was fantastic. Road to apartment was very narrow, winding and had blind sections. Apartment was very clean and bed was comfortable. Kitchen only had salt, pepper, and sugar - no cooking oil or other spices. Plenty of pots and pans though. No laundry soap, no dishwasher soap provided (owner was out of town and we had difficulty communicating with her friend about these and other questions)

Das Objekt ist genau wie beschrieben, die Aussicht atemberaubend!!! Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Obwohl keine Klimaanlage vorhanden ist und die Temperaturen ziemlich hoch angestiegen sind, konnten wir gut schlafen, es zog immer ein kühlendes Lüftchen durch die Räume. Claudine wahr sehr reizend und hat uns alles ausgiebig und geduldig erklärt.
Ich kann dieses Objekt weiterempfehlen.

We had a great stay at Escale Incanto. Claudine gave us a warm welcome and provided us with a lot of information about the village, the surrounding area etc. The apartment was very clean and cosy and had all the necessary equipment, also for our little boy . The view from the balcony was really magnificent!! The pool was a very nice extra and we enjoyed it very much.
One small downside, it is not easy to get to the apartment with a buggy, since the road is very steep and there are a lot of stairs.

With our family of four we had a wonderful stay in this very neat and personally furnished apartment.
It lies very quietly above the lake with a great view from the large balcony. The apartment is part of a small but nice complex of apartments. The lake and the shore road are within walking distance via a private walkway.
The open kitchen is well equipped.
Especially the spacious community pool of the complex directly below the apartment was great and the apartment also has its own garden.
The apartment also has a lockable garage, which makes sure that the car is not in the sun all day long, especially in summer.

The highlight of our Italian Holiday.
This apartment provided everything we could have wished for.
It has stunning panoramic views of the Lake with constantly changing vistas of activities on the water including boats large, small and even flying!
Sala Comacina itself is smaller then many of Lake Como's other pretty villages but that means it is less commercialised and less crowded. The ferry boats provide excellent opportunities to visit other villages on the lake. The boats can be accessed from Sala Comacina's ferry stop.
There is a superb butcher in the village and a couple of good supermarkets in nearby Lenno.
Claudine was a very welcoming and charming host who explained all the necessary details and was particularly helpful with regard to local restaurants, shopping facilities and activities.
The apartment was clean, fully equipped and comfortable and the swimming pool was well maintained.
Escale Incanto ( particularly it'a large balcony) was a beautiful, peaceful and relaxing oasis to which to retreat after a busy day's sight-seeing.
We would not hesitate to return .

A truly stunning location
Escale Incanto enjoys a fantastic position overlooking Lake Como, with a beautiful 180 degree panorama from the large balcony. The apartment is well appointed and spacious for a couple or young family (as we were), with great outside space and a lovely pool area.
Sala Comacina is a pretty little village and is well placed to allow access to the beautiful lakeside towns nearby. Como and Milan are easily accessible, as are the regular ferries to other parts of the lake.
A wonderful base from which to explore this spectacularly pretty area.
