ADEGUATO PER QUELLO CHE NECESSITAVO - CON L'INCOGNITA DELLA SPESA FINALE.

Di fatto sono di Fidenza ma per motivi di lavoro dovevo fermarmi per riposare qualche ora in un letto ( per problemi di lavoro) letto molto comodo ( rapporto con il costo adeguato: COMPATIBILMENTE CON UNA VERIFICA NECESSARIA ANCHE CON LA VOSTRA STRUTTURA PERCHE' HO RICEVUTA PAGAMENTO ON LINE - AL MOMENTO NON CONTABILIZZATO, MA IN STRUTTURA MI HANNO RICHIESTO LA STESSA SOMMA ED AL MOMENTO NON HO IDEA DI COME SI CHIUDERA' QUESTO SOGGIORNO)

Good overall

Was an emergency stop due to traffic jam. The man who welcomed us has been very kind and nice. The room was good, nothing excellent but perfect for the situation. We just slept few hours and we left. Easy to find and closed to the highway.

It nice just for one or two night maximum. Price a bit too high for place and location

Charming family hotel in the heart of town

I love the old-fashioned style of Due Spade. It's full of character, which makes up for its imperfections. Breakfast is offered as early as you wish. Beds are comfortable with crisp cotton sheets and warm blankets. Coffee is prepared individually according to guests" wishes..

WiFi was fine in the evening but weak in the morning, though OK downstairs in the breakfast room. It would be nice to offer more for breakfast than croissants, packaged biscuits, and fruit drink,, though there was some fresh fruit..

Good locatiion

Light not working in bathroom. Bathroom sink needed to have drain cleaned, very slow drainage. Electric outlets inadequate for 21st century. The whole building needs updating. No English speaker at hotel.

I found the hotel a little tired in some respects. AC sort of OK,no WiFi in the room. Staff sweet and as helpful as possible given the language barrier. I’d describe it as basic.

Lovely proprietors and great location, but lacking key amenities.

This is a quirky, older hotel very well located to the train station and main square. It’s run by a very elderly, very sweet couple who clearly have a penchant for the colour red! The room itself was reasonably spacious with a comfortable bed, an armoire with drawers for clothes. The bathroom has a larger shower than most we’ve encountered in Italy, and shower gel is provided. Notably, the towels were new and cozy soft. There is a small desk in the room as well. There were good options for charging devices near the bed. After a brief chat with the male proprietor (who spoke quite good English) about our Via Francigena pilgrimage he offered us two bottles cold water.

Wifi access was weak even in the lobby, and non-existent in the room. We can do wothout wifi now and again, but one thing we really crave is a good, hot shower after a long day of hiking. Unfortunately, the water to the room never got above lukewarm (at best), so that was very disappointing. Breakfast consisted of sweets (brioche), yogurt, and basic cold cereal options. The capuccino was decent, but the fruits (apples and bananas were not good).

Conveniently located hotel for a short stay in Fidenza with very friendly owners - we would return.

An older, family-run hotel with charm, which is very conveniently located. Free parking in front of the hotel. The family and staff were very friendly and helpful. We were directed to an excellent restaurant for dinner. Breakfast was good and just right for us.

Being an older hotel, the rooms are in need of some renovation. The bathroom and toiletries provided were fairly basic. The comfort of our bed and pillows were so-so.

Superb

The woman who manages the hotel is wonderful with quite a personality. The hotel is well located, with comfortable rooms with retro furnishings.

Although the positives made up for this, one could hear conversations in the lobby from my 1st floor room, as well as footsteps and conversation from the room above.

ideally located very close to the centre of Fidenza. lovely boutique hotel - very retro style but quite chique and the owner was lovely. Good breakfast - definite it worth a stay.

The door lock didn't work properly, they wouldn't allow the use of heat in room, tv channel changing needed use of number pad, wifi not strong enough on 2nd floor to send emails with a photo attached, establishment very dated - needs refresh

The location is super convenient. The bed and comforter were wonderful.... better than many hotels that I have stayed in here in Italy. The hostess was very friendly and helpful. I appreciated her letting me eat my pizza in the breakfast area, the magazine to read and her enjoyable conversation. Also... the shower had wonderfully hot water... sometimes this doesn't happen in Italy. Not a fancy hotel but great value for the money and I would stay there again. I came to walk a portion of the Via Francigena.

I have no complaints.
