Great guesthouse. Highly recommend ⭐️

The house and gardens were well maintained and it was a nice place to relax, especially the walk around the back fields. Pet friendly accommodation was great. Breakfast was fantastic (lots of choice).

The house is located in a very remote part of Ireland and isn’t close to many big towns but this suited us.

Cartron House is perfect for people that would like to visit the core of authentic Ireland!

Breakfast was amazing, with many choices available (also for people with special food requirements), everything was fresh made and served by lovely manager Ann. Her scones are special, the best ones I've ever tried! Ann was taking note of the preferred time for breakfast, in case of special needs. Dinner was available on request made 24h before, and food was fresh and awesome!

Due to the features of the building, we could slightly hear other guests on the upper floor and in the hallway, but luckily this was not a particular problem. Wifi signal was falling quite often in the rooms upstairs, but it was ok most of the time, it could be powered up in case...and anyway we were not at the place most of the time, not an issue to unplug for a while!

Lots of comfy pillows and a great night's sleep!

Breakfast was lovely and the room was large but cozy, this place had the most and fluffiest pillows of all the places we stayed- much appreciated.

Parking was a bit difficult during a Christianing that was going on. It is such a lovely property and I am sure multiple events take place here, I wouldn't hold this against the property- just something for others to be aware of!

Loved the house (it dates from the 1770's and has been sympathetically renovated), loved our spacious room and ensuite, loved that there were common areas both inside and out that we felt comfortable to use. This included a basic kitchenette with crockery and cutlery where we were able to prepare our own dinner. Hostess was friendly and helpful and made us the BEST-EVER breakfast. Amazing value. Overall, a really good experience.

Beautiful property; friendly,attentive,extremely helpful staff; peaceful place to come back to after exploring for the day. Breakfast was amazing!

Wi-Fi was a bit slow but being it in the county that's to be expected.

Short stop before Lough Cutra Triathlon

The grounds are beautiful, the walk is peaceful, the amenities plentiful and clean. Breakfast was lovely and Ann was a really pleasant person.

Anne is a great host, with a lovely home! you won’t regret staying here !

beautiful clean home, Anne is a great host! even if you’re checking in later she will offer help with food. room was big, warm with a huge and comfy bed. breakfast was incredibly delicious, the best Full Irish we found during our stay in Ireland. Staff is nice and welcoming. the propriety is beautiful and you are able to walk around the country to see a bit of the views.

Cartron is a must This is a great place to use as a base for your few days away.

This was our 3rd time staying at Cartron House and myself and my partner just love it. It's spotless, very cosy and the host Ann is very accommodating. Breakfast is excellent.

Really nice. Host wasn't going to be there but arranged the stay anyway. Did not have breakfast. It was a little on the cold side when I arrived.

Lovely stay!!

Anne was a very welcoming host and made sure that we were comfortable. There is a common room with books, a television and table for games, which was nice to relax in. Breakfast was delicious, and large! Anne also suggested Walsh's in Woodford for dinner which turned out to be a wonderful traditional Irish pub. Would definitely stay here again!!

Perfect place to stay. It a pity we only stay for 1 night and came very late. Really recommend. Wonderful breakfast - omlette with every think you want and other choices as well. Very big room and King size. Beautiful Garden!

What a lovely place to stay!! Ann was a wonderful host. The bed was so very comfortable, the facilities great, we were well looked after. Breakfast was amazing. Anns recommation for dinner was spot on. Highly recommend.
