The menù doesn't have much vegetarian dishes, and this is frustrating for an eco lodge, but the maître d'hôtel came to offer us some off-menu vegetarian options. Adding a symbol for vegetarian and vegan on the menù or a page dadicated with more than a couple of options will make the guest feel more welcome.

Eine wirklich traumhaft schöne Anlage, sehr gepflegt, bequemes Bett, tolles Frühstück, aufmerksamer Service, sehr gutes Restaurant, tolles Schwimmbad! Großes Angebot an sportlichen Ausflügen! Wir wären gerne länger geblieben!

Great location far from city noises and disturbance; very nice combination of nature with comfort, can enjoy nature in every corner of the resort. Great nature park with walks through the mountains (hiking). Lots of attractions for adventure like zip line, water park and river activities. Camping also available. Food is very affordable and tasty, a variety of western and Asian dishes is available.
2.0
The location and the setting.
It was extremely isolated and other than the hotel restaurant there was no where else to eat, no where to buy any snacks and a very limited menu at the hotel.
My son and I both suffered an extreme bout of food poisoning so much so that I requested they take me to a hospital/clinic as I felt I was on the verge of collapse. I must commend the front desk gentleman as he went above and beyond. I was disgusted however that following this we heard nothing from the manager. I couldn’t leave our room for two days whilst recovering and they did not check on us once. Nothing was mentioned at check out, they offered absolutely no compensation for what occurred. Clearly as we had only eaten at the hotel the past 3 days there was no where else it could have occurred and my son and I fell sick within hours of each other and eating the same dish. I was so ill I wondered if I was going to survive the night.
This could be a really great place to stay if adjustments were made to how it was run and what is available to guests. We had to request our room be serviced everyday bar one. The facilities were ok but not fantastic. Being next to the river is lovely, but having to pay for every walk you do is not.
Such a shame as this area has so much potential to be a truly unforgettable holiday location. It was unforgettable for us for all the wrong reasons.

We had an amazing stay at The Resort. The staff and the manager was warmefully welcoming, professionnal and so nice with us. They did everything they could do to make our stay easy and pleasant. The place is beautiful, very clean, the pool and all the resort are so well designed. Beds are very confortable.
It's over expected! We've never been to a resort as beautiful as Yorla!
Thank you

The adventure experiences were amazing. We had great massages in the spa which were very well priced. We were thoroughly looked after by Ben and his team.

A luxurious resort nestled in the jungle along the gurgling Kat river. Great place to relax at the pool, have a massage, workout in the open air gym or do some of the many activities at the nearby Adventure centre: forest walks, quad biking, zipline, horse rides and more. Great buffet breakfast and service. The GM, Benjamin, was a great host, caring for all guests enjoyment. We were sorry to leave...

Visiting a place such as this resort in an 800-1,000 meter altitude, near 1,800 meters altitude mountain peaks, is always a risk in rainy season. The time we stayed at Namkat Yorla Pa reflected a peak in rainy season. But this resort is well catered for outdoor activities. The resort is also prepared to receive different target audiences, like the selfie-tourist, the adventurous ones, the adrenaline junkies, the fitness minded people and the hikers.
We came to watch birds and enjoyed to be outdoors. The birds are shy, like in any other place in Laos. But there were interesting species, some new for Laos, even. For those interested: https://ebird.org/hotspot/L11675018.
The nature is quite unspoiled. Due to much rain we saw one of the highest water levels in years. The main river runs along the bungalows and the thundering water was spectacular. There are about 9-10 flood-ways between the resort’s main building and the Yorla Pa waterfall. These flood-ways make the path going up the valley extra interesting.
There are restaurants on site. The breakfast offers a large variety of food and dinners were good. The staff of the resort is keen to assist with everything to make your stay as comfortable as possible.
The staff of the park areas are keen in maintaining the area clean, despite mindless tourists throwing away used water bottles and wrappers. There are sufficient dustbins, but a significant proportion of the visitors find it hard to use those bins. Still, due to the teamwork of the staff the forest is almost pristine compared to the average tourist location in Laos.
We consider revisiting in October – December, to experience the dry season and the migratory birds, who will have arrived by then.
There’s not much not-to-like. If you seek a remote location in the midst of nature, then this is your thing.
