Casona antigua restaurada en el centro del casco histórico.

La ubicación es inmejorable. En el centro del casco histórico, con bares y restaurantes alrededor. El personal es encantador y muy servicial.

Las escaleras son un poco complicadas, pero el personal de recepción no dudan en ayudarte con el equipaje.

Exceptional

Impossible to be in a better location in Salvador - right at the heart of the action in Pelourinho, everything we did was walking distance (max 10 mins)! The room had everything you would need, very big, good AC. The staff were super proactive, giving absolutely fantastic recommendations, and helping us to arrange a taxi, etc. Really warm, friendly, and efficient! Would highly recommend this pousada, and would definitely stay here again in my next trip to Salvador!

Lovely Pousada full of personality, perfect if you want to be smack in the center of Pelourinho

Very nice Pousada full of personality in the rooms' decoration, and great views of the Pelourinho from the bedroom windows. Folk at the front desk (Alfredo?) and room service (Sandra?) were super nice & helpful. The rooms were lovely and comfortable (they were tastefully refurbished some years ago), the breakfast served in the room was great, and the location was central in the Pelourinho (historical district). There were bars and restaurants close by, as well as all the historical attractions. The front desk kept our bags in storage for a few hours after we checked out, so that was also helpful.

Would have been nice to have a gym or pool, but hard to find that in the cramped quarters of the Pelourinho. You need to go up some stairs with bags to check in.

Loved it. ..beautiful, comfortable and right in the beating heart of the Pelourinho . Excellent welcoming staff.

Relative to pousadas of equal quality ..expensive considering breakfast and drinking water not included. breakfast felt clinical.. all plastic wrapped, served in bedroom, not delicious but adequate.

Everything about this location was amazing! I originally booked for 1 night, but ended up extending my stay because it was that amazing. The staff was helpful, the room was clean, the breakfast was good and plentiful, I had a great view of the main courtyard where during the day you can observe the hustle and bustle and at night you can partake on the musical performances of singing and drumming. Loved it! You are exceptionally close to every tourist point of interest, I felt well cared for, safe in the location as there is a police presence that is positive in this area of Pelourinho, so I recommend this location 1000%. Book it!

The best location ever! And a nice classic atmosphere. We loved having our breakfast served in our own room, which is common in Solar dos Deuses.

Great location, charming room, noise from the streets

Location is great, staff is super friendly, and the breakfast is very good with fresh local food and fruits. The room is beautiful!

As can be expected, a hotel in the heart of Pelourinho will be noisy. Be aware that music on the streets can go until late in the night (in our case till 11:15pm). The room is bright in the morning.

Fabulous pousada in a great location.

This is a beautiful hotel. Our room was huge and I loved having breakfast in the room. Great with kids who don’t tend to sit for long, but also in the times we are now living in. The breakfast was delicious with lots of homemade food. The hotel, right opposite the tourist police, felt very safe, and the staff were really friendly and accommodating, even making a cake for my son’s birthday on the day we arrived. You do need to climb up some stairs to go in, so bear that in mind if you have mobility issues or suitcases rather than backpacks. Loved the themed rooms (although we did end up in the white room so my children were a little disappointed as I’d told them the hotel was colourful!).

Nothing really. The force of water in the shower was quite weak which made it hard to wash my long hair, but I guess it’s because it’s a historic building in an old area of town.

Staying at this hotel is already an attraction

Staying at Solar dos Deuses definitely improved our short trip to Salvador. Perfectly located at Pelourinho, you can reach the best tourist attractions in a short and pleasant walk. We had a super view from our room, which was outstanding clean, spacious and comfortable and as colourful. The staff is absolutely kind and helpful. Very strict sanitary protocols during our visit due to Covid-19 pandemic, we felt super safe all the time. Finally, the breakfast that deserves an extra chapter: fresh fruits, juice, local specialities: cheese, hams, tapioca, cakes.

The shower could be improved a bit!
