Central location , price . Clean bedding , towels
Very tired , needs a revamp

Location.
Very run down. Was told it was due a refurbishment, which is definitely needed.
5.0
Very central. Parking adequate. Staff helpful. Food and drink in restaurant/bar good.
Very much in need of a refurbishment. Threadbare carpet. No lift (we were on second floor - thank goodness online small bags as we are both on our seventies). Peeling wallpaper. Panels coming off bath and door. Cracks in ceiling. Cobwebs in ceiling corners. Dripping taps, lacking covers. Tiny shelf above basin and only window ledge for -lacing toiletries, in front of opened sash window - luckily not windy. Noise from patrons in garden audible until after midnight. Bottles being thrown away at 8:30 in morning. Slamming doors early and late. Kettle only worked when lever held/weighted down.

Room spacious, staff pleasant.
Bathroom functional but a little shabby, carpets worn in public areas. Would have liked a blanket as the duvets were very thin.
3.0
Excellent potential but in dire need of refurbishing
Dirty … bedrooms and showers not clean. Shower enclosure was dreadful.

Good position, helpful staff. Clean comfortable bed. Good parking.
Very very shabby. In serious need of modernising and redecorating.

The pub and restaurant were really nice,
The rooms were really dated and very poor quailty. Could do with some sort of light in the car park as it was extremely dark

Staff were excellent, efficient, warm and helpful. Breakfast was good overall with a couple of exceptions, see below. Location was good and the parking arrangement was a godsend. Size of room was awesome.
Upset that Booking.com misled us over stating the hotel had handicap facilities. There were no lifts, which was a struggle for us, and no staff available to help with bags on our arrival. The shower was a step-up and ridiculously so small-sized it was a struggle to get through its door; considering the huge bathroom, the shower seemed penny-pinching. The taps in the shower were loose. The toilet did not always flush. The walls and ceiling were peeling. The carpets were threadbare. The place is in need of a renovation. The breakfast on the Monday was not up to a good standard (impression was the staffing level was low). On two separate occasions I had to reject burnt toast.

dining room
Room drab, very basic, e.g. no tissues. Unlit ante room ( could not see into wardrobe) very dark. No soap in bathroom! Customers below window at outside tables talking and noisy till after1.30 a.m.
The advert for the Hotel did not match reality. Was surprised that breakfast was extra.
5.0
Right in the centre of the town
Needed some renovation. Holes in the walls, headboard hanging off. Very hot room with a window that was bolted so only opened a few inches. Very tired furnishings.

Breakfast was good quality especially the smoked salmon, good quantity too.
Served hot and good value.
Felt the building looked worn. Ceiling paperwork hanging down in my bedroom. Coffee tea etc there but no mug or cup!
Carpet and decorating looking aged.
2.0
Pub area was lovely, well decorated and maintained and lovely outdoor areas.
The bed and bedding were clean and comfortable.
Room 15 was appalling decor was tired. Bathroom was in need of replacement. Windows were filthy. A sadly neglected hotel.

Breakfast
Befor arriving ! I asked for low room due to my knee as also my daughter We had the highist possible room with no light as also the so called bathroom with no light and first no tap. When finally opened there was only boiling hot water, The television could not be seen from our tiny beds
I used to stay at your hotel always at the Henry 8 suite
I am director of a company of 400,000 members around the world

plenty of space
great bar and food
great location in the market place
large car park
staff were lovely and friendly and the service was great!
The room we were in was a little tired and could do with a lick of paint here and there but this wasn’t detrimental to the stay. It was comfortable. We didn’t notice a lift facility so anyone with mobility problems may need to ask for a room on a lower floor.

The staff were amazing, especially the Assistant Manager. The dining room and bar were great with good selection of food for breakfast and dinner.
The room was on top floor with only stair access. The room was also very outdated and could have even done with a coat of pain and updating of the furniture and bathroom.

Location
Family rooms located on top floor with no lift
Dated rooms - tatty.
Limited parking, not ideal when you have a baby and lots of luggage.
3.0
Not a lot just the location really and the lady in the dining room for breakfast and ckeck-out was lovely.
The room was dank dark and very tired, there was yellow damp patches all up the wall by the bed causing the actual wall to flake. The decor was old and tatty, no central light so it was dark with just 3 lamps. The bathroom was cold and stark you cold see where fittings had been broken so instead of replacing them gheee AA just the screws left in the wall. The toilet had old brown stains in the bowl.
I can’t believe I paid £120 for this!!
Breakfast was a limited choice and served over cooked and dry.

Excellent staff and breakfast, bed was comfortable. Bar was acceptable.
The room/bathroom were in need of urgent complete overhaul. My hubby couldn't even get the shower to work, I wouldn't shower in such a mouldy area. Parts of the ceiling in the room were peeling away and they'd obviously had damp ingress in one corner. Very disappointing for the price and lesson learned.

Cheerful young staff team, all of whom were courteous and helpful throughout our stay. The location is convenient for Squerryes Winery and Chartwell and access to other businesses (bars, restaurants etc.) in the centre of Westerham. Characterful building with lots of tables for outdoor dining/drinks. Good parking availability and free for guests staying at the hotel. Good standard of food for a fair price, and access to a pleasant, old-fashioned bar with reasonable selection of beers and wines. Spacious accommodation (room 1) with bedroom, dressing room and bathroom.
Badly in need of redecoration. Carpets worn and dull and in need of replacement. Dust visible in communal areas (e.g. staircase). Room 1 needs attention too. Noisy wardrobe door needs attention. Damaged bathroom door. Bathroom sink drains slowly and needs a plumber to look at the drainage. Shelf over sink sticks out so you bang your head on it when you are washing. Shower has fair pressure but flow of hot water inconsistent. Carpet in dressing room badly damaged at the doorway to the bathroom.

The hotel is dated, and could probably do with some investment in decorating, that said, it is an old building with all the quirks that come with it. The hotel staff were 1st Class, very polite, welcoming, and helpful. Breakfast was faultless, room warm with crisp fresh linen.
If I'm fortunate enough to work in the area again, I'll certainly stay at the Kings Arms - Very Good value.
I hope Green King appreciate the staff.

Pleasant cheerful staff.
Very worn hotel, frayed carpets, need a full makeover. Booked a twin though ended up with a double and my friend used the sofa bed. Discovered later, bed was two beds attached, therefore they could of split them into single beds 😡

I was treated very well.
I was grieving the death of a close friend.
Staff professional, kind, understanding..

Furniture, decor and fixtures and fittings dated mostly tatty and worn out. £5.24 a pint in the Bar is ruinously expensive - but I guess this is 'darn sarf"? Receptionist - on describing how to get my room - instructed me to go up the stairs, through the doors and "do a ueey". I'd prefer not to get text speak when being checked in. A smile might have also helped the interaction go better.
4.0
Staff friendly, some food good but breakfast poor.
Gloomy room, badly needed refurbishing. Some electrical sockets didn't work and neither did the radiator. A small convector heater had been supplied.
5.0
Fairly good pricing, good location and the staff were very friendly.
Smelled like damp, bathroom was very dated and it doesn't appear to have had much money spent on keeping modern. Appears there has been a historic radiator leak, which whilst that had been fixed, the horrible stain on the carpet has not. The room doesn't have great ventilation, so there was a lot of condensation and mildue in the inside of the window. Having wiped it down, it's clear no one else had bothered to do this in a long time.

lovely friendly staff . food was fresh and tasty. although the building is old and a bit outdated it was very clean
it needs a little modification, however it was very clean .

The property does need an uplift, but has a lot of potential.

The bed was comfortable
The place needs a major refurbishment. It doesn't look like it has had anything done to it for about 40+ years. It is shabby and outdated. The curtains were falling down and windows in need of replacing.
7.0
it was tired, needed a refurb
4.0
Convenience of location.
Basic amenities. Understand there is to be a refurbishment. Steps down to bathroom. No food available! But did provide breakfast.
