Not as much as basic hygiene, never mind comfort.

Very little. Relatively close to the city centre.

We booked an apartment with a bath, we got shower only. Toilet flush sprayed everywhere and the smell from the toilet was sickening. I sent a message to send a plumber and/or move us to a more hygienic apartment. No reply whatsoever. Icing on the cake: a crippling mattress, I'm still waiting to take back some control on my legs and the man is in serious need for some proper sleep. Never again.

We loved it that much, we'll be back for another visit.

Our stay at sycamore place was brilliant. We both enjoyed the fact we could walk into York in a matter of minutes and no need to use our car. We wanted for nothing as far as facilities within the apartment.

There was absolutely nothing that we didn't like about the whole of our stay.

Wonderful experience to live like a local at York

As we were a bit worried about non attendance facility, communication with John and the staff member were always excellent. They even quickly swapped the light bulb that was blown out during our stay. Room was a bit dark but zero complain. It would be superb if they provide a roll of kitchen paper as the room has a full kitchen capability with stove, microwave and small fridge. That being said, the table could be also a bit larger since the room has full dishes and utensils. It was a great stay nonetheless as we stay/live like locals! Walk to the city center was breeze and tons of excellent restaurants and local supermarkets for you to grab something for the breakfast to enjoy. Although we have never seen those who work behind the scene, we were truly appreciated to what they have done for us. Thank you very much once again!!

There was nothing wrong with the property. If you have a large luggage, I would suggest you to request the ground floor. There was absolutely no step from the train station to reach to the City Apartment.

Location was great, only a stones throw from the city centre.

The apartment served us well. It was warm with it being on level 2 but the large windows and fan helped.

Beautifully situated just outside the city centre in a quiet street so handy for everything. Ideal for a couple. Nice and clean. Everything we needed was provided.

Even with the windows open, it was a bit warm during the recent hot weather, though not excessively so. Some eejit had mucked up the TV channels and it took this technophobe a while to sort it out!

It was very spacious and quite close to all the action!

- The wifi was terrible - we pretty much had no wifi for our entire stay. - We had issues with the hot water in the shower, the hot water didn’t last long before turning cold.

Love that so close to centre and the train station The second time we just loved the apartment It was always so clean.

Need to pre book the parking. The one right next to the apartment we turned up for 5 days and was £68. We weren't able to book in any earlier and had to stick to our time.

Perfect Stay in York

Perfect stay in York made better with the accommodation. Clean and comfortable place to stay, with everything needed for a short stay. And an added bonus of only a 10 minute walk into the city via the Park or along the River. Great parking and a very quiet area. We recommend City Apartments to anyone wanting a hassle free few days away. Will definitely be back.

Place could sleep 3 but only 1 little towel rack and a plug near a mirror was not there to be able to dry hair and toilet lever was very loose so I had to fix it the cleaners should have been w aware of this

Great location

Easy flexible check in and communication. Great location, perfect for what we needed. Nice sized room with good kitchen facilities. Nice carpet and clean towels/linen etc.

Toilet didn't flush well, took about 10 minutes to fill up the cistern enough to flush again, ok for one person but not very nice for two people staying. There were no photos of number 7 on the booking, we expected a proper shower (not shower over bath). The apartment had a small hot water heater that ran out of hot water half way through filling the bath, then we realised we would have to wait hours for the cylinder to heat up again before my partner could bathe or shower or we could wash the dishes.

Nice location, but wouldn't stay there again unless was guaranteed the front apartment.

Nice location (close to train station, close to park, close to grocery stores). Huge space. Good selection of kitchen supplies. Beds were comfy enough.

Apartment was at the back of the building, down a few steps, so was a bit dark and damp. Fire doors prevented us from getting any air circulation. Bathroom was a bit musty smelling. There were no towel racks (hard to get the towels to dry), no coffee table (although there was lots of space for more furniture), no view (lower level - had 2 big windows with a view of cement walls).

Superb

Location excellent. Clean and very well equipped. Comfy bed.

The stairs,would be no good for anyone with problems walking/ stick etc. A long way up to carry bags etc. Would book again but ask for lower/ ground floor.
