The room was very clean and comfortable beds. Very close to the village and Bunmahon beach. Perfect stay for families on summer holidays ☀️.
No wifi or phone line coverage in the area.

Great to see reasonably priced accommodation in Bonmahon. It is a beautiful village that everyone should experience. It is terrible to see so many Airbnb owners in the area take advantage of tourists through greed and profiteering. Thankfully Nick and this property offer everyone the chance to visit. Property was 10/10 for cleanliness and facilities. Will be back for the pool table.
It is perfect.

Famtastic hostel woth comfortable double rooms. The host was great, giving us good advice about the locality. Beds comfortable and bedrooms had really good heating.
Outdoor space was good, with tables and seating. A pool table (free) was an added bonus.
The shower was warm and spacious. Plenty if hot water here and in the kitchen.
I would stay here again.
There was a well equipped kitchen, but cutlery was in short supply. An easy fix. There were maybe 12 people there around dunner time, but not enough forks.
The location is 1.5 miles from the village of Bunmahon and a little too remote for walking there and back.
A designated driver will need tobe on hand if you fancy going to the pub in the village.

Room and kitchen was good size.
Would be nice to have more electrical outlets.
All good.

Nice location away from the crowds. Friendly & helpful staff.
It seems that large groups sometimes stay - this may impact the peacefulness of your stay

There was no warden when I arrived, no warden when I left. Whilst trying to get to sleep in my bed a party took place in another room keeping me awake, at 0250. After finishing it recommenced at 0630, i got up shortly after having had little sleep.
The hostel is very hard to find with little signage.

We really enjoyed our stay. The kitchen had modern appliances, sitting room was cosy and we had it to ourselves both nights. The owner was very helpful and friendly. You would need a car to stay here (in my opinion) we particularly loved the location. Close to tramore (about 20 mins drive) we will definitely be back. We travelled as a family 2 adults and 2 children and 2 separate double rooms. Each room was clean and had 1 set of bunk beds. We stayed in 2 separate rooms as we found the kids would settle better if we separated them 🤣 highly recommended
On our second night a group of lads woke me and my 6 year old daughter at 5.30am ( it was a Saturday night) they where next to our room and we could hear them very clearly.

The location was exceptionally quiet and picturesque. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, especially considering we arrived much later than checkout time due to having forgotten some important items at home. The staff made sure we were able to get into our room despite the late hour and allowed us to stay as late as they possibly could the following day when one of our party was unwell.

The accommodation was unreal, immaculate, accessible and everything we needed as a family of 5. We had a family room with the most comfortable beds ever. Two sets of bunk beds and a large double bed..
There was nothing we could fault.

Friendly proprietor, room was clean.
Upon checking in I discovered that I would be sharing the hostel with a group of 24 High schoolers on a school trip who took over the communal kitchen and games area. Where it's not necessarily the owners responsibility but the teachers, the students were up to gone midnight playing pool and chatting, which impacted both my comfort and sleep as my room (number 5) shared a wall with the games lounge. With the students eating their dnner and breakfast this made the kitchen "out of bounds" for me, despite reassurance from the owners that I would be fine to use it. Thus, I remained in my room and ate a takeaway from Tramore. Though the room didn't have a table or chairs so I had to improvise with the bedside table. Mattress was lumpy and bed creaky. The shower was also covered with sand. As a teacher myself, I feel that if you have a booking from a school group the hostel should be then for the exclusive use of the school, and not for private bookings and vice versa, not do both as this could also have potential safe gaurding compromises as well. I've stayed in several private rooms and dorms in hostels before in my travels so I'm use to noise outside of quiet hours, cheap bedding, and sharing facilities with other budget travellers etc which doesn't bother me. Just sharing with a school group does. Sorry.

We arrived late,
Ann looked after us very well without being overbearing,an absolute gem of a lady, she even made me (the dad)feel like the one of the world's great comedians,
Kinda knew that all along anyways,,,,
Nicholas again adds to the really nice vibe about the place and thats something that can't be brought or faked,,
Highly recommend.
