Lovely room, Lovely staff members

All staff members are so friendly and helpful. Their breakfast are much more unique than other hotel (not typical continental breakfast). Especially Nichole(I hope I spell her name correctly) and breakfast crews are very kind to adjust my mother’s requests every morning! The building itself is gorgeous and historic! The room is spacious. We requested an extra bed in the apartment and that makes room much tighter but room service crews paid extra attention and adjust furnitures for us to make more room! We were impressed by that! My mother is visiting Europe very first time ever and she enjoyed every minute of staying at Menina Colina. We will stay there again for our next Porto trip! (We loved their garden for relaxing too)

Beautiful historic property conveniently located to walk to most sights and delightful staff.

Lovely restored historic apartment! We had a large room with French doors and balcony overlooking back garden. Breakfast could be enjoyed inside or out.

All was wonderful (but note no elevator, so necessary to carry luggage up the stairs —but stairway is beautiful—makes it pleasant🙂)

Great location and beautiful rooms

The property is beautiful with a lovely courtyard and great views from the upper floors. It is very convenient to some great shopping and good attractions. The rooms are very large and can work for a small family, and the kitchenette was great. The staff was eager to please.

Breakfast hours are limited (you can't grab a quick breakfast and make an early tour, for example) and if your rate doesn't include breakfast it is apparently a problem. There is no elevator, so you will need to lug your bags up at least a couple of flights of stairs.

Porto has a relaxed atmosphere and there was lots to do and see over the 5 days.

The hotel is a nice place to stay just out from the centre of Porto. The staff were very friendly and the breakfast (when it arrived) was very good. I would recommend it.

The organisation for delivering breakfast was often chaotic. Sometimes the wrong breakfast was served sometimes the breakfast ordered did not arrive. One time I received breakfast but my wife didn't, one time we waited 45 minutes for breakfast to arrive and were then asked 'What's missing?' - Answer 'the breakfasts!!!'. I would put this down to lack of staff and lack of organisation in the kitchen. Having said all that the staff corrected things that went wrong and the coffee, fruit drinks and food were all very nice.

Gorgeous hotel! Close to downtown yet quiet. The beds are very comfortable and the guesthouse was very clean.

Next time I will choose a room that’s not on the 4 th floor!

A lovely hotel, just 5-10 minutes walk from the centre. Amazing rooms in a beautiful old house, a perfect blend of old and new. Staff were delightful and helpful, and breakfast very good.

Exceptional

The whole guesthouse is like a jewel, every detail seems to be genuinely considered.The roofs are just amazing. If you seek beauty what ever you put your eyes on, this is the place. The garden is also both quiet, relaxing and lovely. If you are staying for a Friday evening you might even enjoy a concert in the wonderful music room.

A historic town house, with beautiful interior ana wonderful secluded garden

It is listed with parking available, but this is an independent underground car park 400metres away at €15/day. This was ok, but not an accurate listing.

A lovely room in a beautiful old house, located in an interesting neighbothood.

This is a beautifully restored old building with a delightful garden. The staff was very helpful and welcoming. The breakfast was ample and delicious. We found the neighborhood very interesting. Lots to discover.

We could have used better lamps for reading, and a nightlight for the bathroom would have been helpful.

It was a pleasure to stay 2 days in this hotel from very beginning to the end. The stuff was very friendly and open to help. The location of the hotel was extremely close to the city center. Breakfast was also top quality.

The stuff might add cheese for the breakfast.

Wonderful guest house.

Bravo! This is a wonderful guest house. Our room was beautiful and very well appointed. It also had a fully functioning kitchenette. We had a lovely garden view. The breakfast was great. The staff could not have been more helpful and accommodating. They also serve tapas in the garden between the lunch and dinner hours--which is great. The guest house was also a good value for the money. Highly recommended.

I would strongly recommend getting a room with a garden view (even if it costs more). The alternative is a hospital view, which I would not have wanted.
