Welcome to Blue Heron Ranch, a stunning, stylishly decorated 3-bedroom heated pool home with a resort-style backyard located in South Sarasota, a stone's throw from Siesta Key, Downtown, St. Armand's Circle, and world-class golf courses.
As you enter this spacious house you will instantly feel at home with the warmth of its abundant natural light and its meticulous Coastal Contemporary style. Its open concept allows all the rooms to seamlessly flow into one another. A formal dining space with seating for 8 faces a modern kitchen with all brand new stainless steel appliances and a large waterfall island with additional counter seating. Fully stocked with designer flatware, silverware, glassware, cookware, and every conceivable appliance this kitchen will make you want to stay home for dinner.
Walking over into the living room you will find a comfortable couch and armchairs with ottomans chuck full of throw pillows for ultimate comfort. With a fully functional fireplace on one side and a large screen 4k television tricked out with all the premium cable channels on the other, this will be the perfect spot for the whole family to enjoy together.
Every room in the house opens to the gorgeous stone-paved outdoor living area. A covered back porch with a loveseat, rocking chairs, and ceiling fan sits in plain view of the large saltwater system heated pool. To your left, you will find an outdoor dining area (for 8) sitting under a pergola and a brand new top rated 6 burner gas grill. As you make your way around the pool you will find an outdoor living room with designer furniture shaded by an 11' cantilever umbrella. For your lounging needs, there are three chaise lounges with two 8' market umbrellas. Beyond that is an expansive yard with its green lawn shaded by centuries-old trees. A split floor plan places the master bedroom at one end of the house, providing it with maximum privacy. It boasts a king-size bed with a high-end mattress, fine linens, and another large screen tv neatly tucked into its own cabinet. The en suite bathroom with double vanity and frameless glass shower enclosure evokes a modern spa feel. Just outside an oversized walk-in closet is a sitting area with a full-length mirror. Across the room two sliding doors open to a private patio that connects to the pool area.

We stayed at the property from 5/22 to 5/29 and had a great time. There were 5 of us - 4 adults and one 3 year old. The pool and the backyard was a great place to relax and enjoy time together. Everything you could possibly need was at the house. Would stay there again.

Every detail of this house inside and out is beautiful! The backyard feels like you are staying at a boutique resort that you get all to yourself. Great location to beaches and all that Sarasota and the surrounding areas have to offer. There is also a bike/walking trail behind the house for early morning walks. Very clear communication with the owner and great welcome book full of great recs for your stay. Would definitely stay here again!

The Blue Heron ranch is absolutely stunning. So clean and beautifully decorated. The host was easy to work with and so was Adam the property manager was excellent to work with as well. We definitely recommend staying here as it close shopping, beaches & restaurants

The property is perfect. Pictures of outdoor space do not do justice. Such a beautiful property and has everything stocked and ready for you to just show up with your suitcase. The property manager is amazing with communication and everything was well explained and ready for our family. Found our new favorite Sarasota spot for when we visit

We rented the house for two months, January and February. On arrival (New Years Eve) we found a bottle of Cava on the counter with two champagne glasses. This was a wonderful welcoming touch. We have a lot of good things to say about Blue Heron Ranch and would highly recommend it to others.
The site managers are very responsive – literally they are there in an instant if anything needs to be addressed. House is as advertised- well appointed, well supplied- especially the kitchen. If you love to cook they essentially have everything you are likely to use/need including a knife sharpener, microplane grater, etc. Great pans, nice dishes (Crate and Barrel) nice glassware, and wine glasses, and three corkscrews.
The Wifi was fast enough and the TVs are both smart TVs. The beds are comfortable with nice sheets. In the garage there are chairs, umbrellas, and a cart for the beach. In addition, a lot of inflatables/floaters for the pool. The pool is heated and is cleaned once a week by the pool maintenance service. The backyard is a perfect place to relax with many wonderful seating areas and lounge chairs, and a large teak dining table. The grill was replaced while we were here and the new grill is a Cadillac. There are also separate utensils for the grill and outdoor glasses/plates/bowls (plastic) to avoid getting glass by the pool.
The house is just next to the Legacy Trail- great for walking, running or biking (bring your own bikes and helmets). We were so pleased with the property, the management and the location that we made a booking for next year.

Unfortunately we lost our mother to Covid in August 2021 and we had not been able to bring her ashes to FL until June 2022. We found the perfect house for our family affair. The house had everything we needed and more. It really helped so we didn't have to bring so much stuff. The location is wonderful for whatever you are looking for. The recommendations in the book for restaurants was spot on (we are happy to say we agreed with their recommdations). The pool and lounging area outside was great for those sunny days and getting in some swim time. The walking trail down the street is nice so bring your tennis shoes if you want to get a quick walk in.

This house was amazing! The backyard is to die for… perfect place to relax and have fun with the family. The house has everything you need for a vacation. It’s about a 15 minute drive to the beach. If you have kids, check out Turtle Beach. For food, groceries… nothing is really more than 20 minutes from the house. It’s a great location, plenty of amenities, and a beautiful house inside and out. We would definitely stay here again!!

Beautiful and relaxing
The hosts were very easy to work with, responded to all questions promptly. The house is next to Legacy trail, perfect for walks, running and biking. The neighborhood is very quiet. Loved hanging out at the pool all week! We would definitely come back again!

Lovely home
This was our first VRBO rental and it was lovely. The house and yard were just as pictured. Unfortunately the weather hit historic cold with days of rain so we never got in the pool. Our stay included 3 days of golf, visits to Casey Key, great restaurants, and shopping as well as rides on Legacy Trail.

What a Terrific Stay!
We stayed at this property for almost 4 weeks and had a terrific experience! The beds were extremely comfortable, and the home overall just had a chill vacation feel. The backyard was beautiful! We spent a majority of our time in the heated pool and running around with our kids in the back yard. The Legacy Trail right behind the house should definitely be mentioned! A freshly paved trail that was perfect to take our 2 kids on walks. Centrally located to plenty of places to eat and only 20-25 minutes to Siesta Key beach. Any issues that arose were taken care of promptly by the property manager. He was quick to respond to anything we needed, which I consider very important. Memories were made at this home! Highly recommended to anyone looking for a relaxing vacation.

Pool of Paradise
Our vacation was very relaxing especially because of the pool and surroundings outside. We all needed the sun therapy and that is what we got. The beds were so comfortable that we didn't want to get up in the morning. I love the new trails that are being put in, this is an huge plus for anyone that likes to take a walk in the morning and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. This was my first time in Florida and from the experiences I had here we will for sure be back.

Love the blue heron!
We loved our stay at the blue heron! I am super picky and was pleased with the cleanliness and layout and the house is truly as beautiful as the pictures. All the spaces were so thoughtfully designed. Kitchen was easy to use and we loved all the doors leading out to the pool. Adam, the property manager was easy to communicate with and prompt in getting us anything we needed. The only thing different from the pictures is there are only 2 lounge chairs by the pool, instead of the 4 we were expecting. Still plenty of hang out space outside. Our only complaint is the neighbor’s tree that hangs over the pergola and outdoor couches was literally dropping junk all day long. I would clear them off to use and 5 minutes later they were covered again. Nothing you can do, but we didn’t use those spaces a ton because of that. I cooked a lot and a couple medium size serving/mixing bowls and more silverware would be helpful. We would have loved to stay longer, would definitely go back and highly recommend!

From the beautifully decorated nautical inside to the expansive backyard pool and deck area its an outdoor paradise.. Going to the beach ??? It has everything you need chairs coolers umbrellas. The owners and property manager were always checking in on us to make sure our vacation was everything we expected. Its a 5 star property Book it today !!!!

We have no end date and are staying a month at a time in different locations around the US. (Road school!)Blue Heron Ranch is one of the best places that we have stayed in our eight years of using rental properties. The house has been completely redone tastefully. It provides a fresh, light and very comfortable home with all amenities needed. Then, there is the pool and back yard. It is a wonderful resort all its own.The location is convenient to all needs and is a 20 minute or less drive to the beaches. Skip the congestion on the islands and go there when you wish. Then, return to this wonderful oasis in a quiet neighborhood.A coming plus is that the nearby extension of the Legacy Trail is being completed soon, with access just two minutes away. This will give the opportunity for miles of walking, running and cycling. Did I say 10 out of 10? I am even not a friend or relative of the owner! If they continue to keep the home fresh and maintained as it is now it will be a great destination for all far into the future.Wish we could hitch the property to the back of our car and take it with us.
