Fabulous older style property with outstanding garden

A unique property with beautiful gardens, Anne was a wonderful host. Plenty of choice for breakfast and so very peaceful. Bed extremely comfortable and good facilities.

Charming bed and breakfast with alpacas!!

Two thumbs up! We spent our 1 year anniversary evening at the English Cherry Tree Manor and had a lovely time. The house and property are absolutely beautiful and Anne and Paul are sweet and hospitable. The best part of the stay was being able to feed and hang out with the alpacas! Hands down the most charming place we have stayed at in New Zealand.

We were warmly welcomed and made to feel comfortable, we had the most beautiful room with a view of the spectacular pool which our family loved . We enjoyed feeding the alpacas and breakfast was delicious. Gardens were a Dream

Gorgeous & homely

Greeted by a stunning driveway and beautiful grounds we knew we were in for a treat when we arrived at our accommodation. Annie welcomed us in and it didn't take long to understand why there are so many good reviews. With our 2 year old in tow we had an absolutely wonderful time as a little family of 3 settling in to cherry tree manor. With so much to explore from the stunning gardens, rock walls, pond, paddocks with friendly alpacas, and a huge swimming pool and spa, we wished we could've stayed longer. Surrounded by so much greenery with a country side feel yet a short 5 minute drive and we were in the city centre of Hamilton on the main street for dinner. Superbly close to the Hamilton Gardens. The location is fantastic and it's clear that Annie and her husband have poured a lot of heart into this place. I'm sure we'll be back again 😊

We met wonderful people staying as guests and enjoyed the elegant features of the house and garden

Wonderful breakfast - with hot and cold options and excellent plunger coffee. We met other guests in the large dining room featuring high ceilings and beautiful china.

We would have liked to stay longer! The garden is magnificent and large enough to enjoy a long walk without disturbing the guests who were 'glamping' (glamorous camping).

Good central location with comfortable accommodations

When traveling sometimes water pressure is an issue. This location had great water pressure and lots of hot water….very nice at the end of the day. Anne and Paul are gracious hosts. The location was central to the locations we planned on visiting. Very enjoyable stay.

Amazing property and grounds around it. The place is unique and charming. It brings you 100 years back in history surrounding you with comfort and style of the time.

Lived the gardens, Alpaca's and company of the hosts. The house has a lovely old world charm, very relaxing atmosphere. Also enjoyed breakfast chatting with people from different nationalities

Amazing place with decent breakfast

Super nice garden, house and room, all very clean and well maintained! A true oasis :-). Breakfast was correct.

We had to drop the second night 11 days in advance due to some unforeseen and forced changes in our itinerary. No flexibility from the hosts side to accommodate despite personal message on reason behind. Once there, expressed sorrow for what had happened and plea to give top rating … doesn’t fit that well. Small additional improvement on breakfast would be fresh versus deep frozen bread.

Our visit was only a short one but we were well looked after.

The location was quiet which we liked and had lovely gardens. Ann and Paul were friendly and made us feel at home. Ann was quick to sort out a new kettle for us when we said that ours wasn't working. Security was very good, keycode needed to enter the property and also our room.

Although our room was comfortable, we felt the place needed a bit of a facelift. It is an older property and some areas looked a bit shabby.

Beautiful Home in Idyllic Setting

Beautiful BnB in a quaint setting just outside of Hamilton. Nice gardens around the property as well as pretty cool Alpaca’s. The host (owner) was very welcoming and wanted to ensure that everything was perfect. Breakfast with other travelers was really enjoyable to hear their stories and why they were visiting (I think that’s the best part of the BnB experience).

Perfect location and stop whether enroute or stopping a few days

Breakfast was excellent. Hosts are par excellence. Passing by Hamilton without going into city and yet only 10 mins away. Beautiful garden, especially in the Spring. Historic home beautifully maintained

The host was welcoming and very accommodating. good conversationalist. very impressive garden and very cute alpacas which we got to feed. She was very accommodating in respect of breakfast and would wake up early to prepare our breakfast on time. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely go back! Thanks so much!

Unexpected Gem

Classy Victorian manor circa 1930’s, exceeded our wildest expectation. The lush gardens, the long entry driveway — breathtaking. Fantastic breakfast.
