La atención de la dueña, Cecilia, fue maravillosa. Estuvo atenta en todo momento y nos ayudó con todo. Las instalaciones nos gustaron mucho ya que parecía que estabas de verdad en la selva.

La Fauna is the perfect place to chill and have a good rest, while being at only one block of the main place. The staff there is incredibly nice and helpful, and the rooms are clean. The pool is a nice addition! The breakfast is very good, and the owner can recommend you local jungle tours and other activities. No need to book these from afar! I highly recommend this hotel.

the place is wonderful, clam and super good located! even if the shower was cold (but it’s so warm outside and the palace is so beautiful that I didn’t mind), everything was perfect! I can only recommend it.

They have swimming pool. It is mega important as it gets really hot in rainy season. You can get breakfast for 12 soles, showers has only cold water, but that is okay as it was really hot, but keep in mind that I was during the rainy season, in dry season temperature can drop by like 10 degrees celsius. For my surprise I slept pretty good despite the hotness. The place is quite artsy, they have hammocks, books, it is really beautiful, everything is made mostly out of wood, which I liked.
Sound isolation is not so good, but it didn’t disturb my sleep or something

Nice large rooms with a nice chilled vibe.

Unique place with a backpacker vibe. Great outdoor area with lots of hammocks and a pool. Great base to spend a night before booking a jungle trip from the city center. Staff is nice & friendly. Due to high walls separating the hotel space from the street it feels like a small oasis.

Delicious jugos and very friendly staff
Can be noisy at night.. fellow travelers, dogs barking for hours.

Lovely property! the outdoor kitchen is cool, few insects etc around because it’s outside but it didn’t really bother us. We enjoyed the pool and the rooms were really nice
Our fault not the hostels but we nearly ended up in a dorm despite paying for a private room, this was due to our poor Spanish skills!

Nice lady at reception who let me cancel one day of my stay. I could check in earlier.
I was attended my a young male receptionist and he fixed a bed for me and I got dirty bed sheets, there was mud on it!!! That's my nightmare. It was disgusting. If it wasn't for the lady who let me canceled part of my stay, my rating would be 1/10. That's unacceptable.
The hostel was dirty, especially a bathroom.

Spacious room, value for money. The patio is beautiful and a great place to chill. They also sell breakfast/lunch/drinks.
No hot showers. Staff doesn't speak any English.

Friendly staff, beautiful hostel, amazing atmosphere and garden
Sometimes needed to translate things on my phone, since there is no English speaking staff, but thats just the smallest inconvenience honestly.

The owner Cecilia was super nice, a street dog bite me, and she without hesitate not even a second .offered herself to take me to the emergency room, the the staff there didn't want to take care of me, then she took me.to another place, spending a lot of her time waiting for someone to clean the wound.
The hostel is well decorated.and all staff.are.very nice. I will definitely came back.
Thanks Cecilia!!

Very relaxed atmosphere, nice spacious rooms. Nice hot showers
Could hear people in the room next to us very clearly

Very wierd, it's a construction site and very unorganised.
At 9.30 I was told it was almost to last to get breakfast but at 7.45 I was told I had to wait 45 minutes until I could have breakfast, it's like something from faulty towers!
The room was nice but the breeze from ceiling fan didn't reach the bed so it was very stuffy.
Some of the staff were nice but there was a strange acting old woman who just kept giving me wierd looks and made me feel very uncomfortable.

The room we got was very large and had an awesome hot shower, there was a mosquito net around the bed.
The wifi in the common area works well. The girl who works there is very kind.
When we arrived there was a problem with our booking regarding to the price. We had to pay more, mistakes happen. The bed in our room was very short, we are not tall people, but my partners feet was reaching the end. The building is made from wood with some gaps between the walls, I could clearly hear my neighbor going to and using the toilet, it felt like it was in my room. The swimming pool was not clean. There are animal hairs everywhere on outside seating. If you have allergies for dogs or cats this is definitely not a place for you. (The room was clean tough.) Wifi didn't reach the room.

Thanks for an excellent stay at your hostel a few nights ago, we had a great experience staying here and wish we could have stayed longer than one night! All the facilities you need and very helpful staff! From the 5 English girls who didn’t get a chance to come back to say thanks

Wonderful hostel with the warm, welcoming atmosphere, shared kitchen, swimming pool (that is a heaven in that climat!), common area is heaven and...the dogs are just a cherry on the top.
Cecile you rulez! You are one of the most friendly and open person I have ever met in the hostels - it is not just hostel , you manage to create little home! thank you for your big heart!
nothing!

The private room was very spacious with very clean sheets and no bugs inside. The shower pressure was great - it was cold but it always is in the jungle! The owner and other members of staff were friendly.
It was very, very hot when sleeping and the fan didn’t project onto the bed so was redundant. The entrance resembles a construction site. The whole place feels like it needs a solid week of cleaning and reorganising. There should also be a quick system to pay for your stay as I was delayed in leaving and had to wait for the owner to wake up. I’d also recommend a water filter or drum for guests and to prevent guests buying plastic bottles.

Great location just around the corner from Plaza de Armas. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful.

It is one of the most beautiful hostel I have ever been. It's mostly in wood and it is exquisitely made with wonderful decorations.

Breakfast was amazing - we even asked for breakfast on the way back - as we stored suitcases there during the jungle trip. We also asked for airport transfers and local taxi in Puerto Maldonado, which was arranged.

lovely outdoor areas to hang out in, pets allowed, close to some good restaurants, not too loud, good price
my room was really hot, the windows don’t open and the fan was on the ceiling and I couldn’t direct it to stay on me

Super nice and helpful staff! Huge rooms with great bathrooms and a hot shower. Comfy common areas and great location right by the Plaza de Armas.
There were a lot of animals living on the property which should probably be advised if someone is allergic to cats/dogs - it also meant it was noisy at times with barking dogs. The entrance is straight into a kind of construction site so that should be cleaned up a bit.
