The location is incredible, right on the river. And the host, Emanuel, and his family are warm and welcoming. They go above and beyond to treat you like family.
Nothing!

The accommodation has everything you need. The host family was very helpful with everything such as booking tours, taxis, meals etc. They made us feel right at home in the jungle. We even saw a sloth, monkeys and macaws very close to our lodge!

It was a wonderful place to stay for a few nights on the Rio. Manuel and his family were fantastic and very helpful. Having a home-cooked supper each night was fantastic. Great view and a great place to get away from it all.

A very unique place in the jungle of Amazon at the bank of river Tambopata. We got a chance to witness some swift daily weather changes from fierce rain to warm sunshines during the three days we stayed. We also enjoyed (sometimes unwillingly) various bird sounds in a rather relaxed natural setting. The owner Emmanuel did his best to make us feel at home, cooking three meals a day with fresh meat and fish, salads, organic eggs, squeezed juice, and hot tea. One time he even killed a chicken for us. His whole family members were very friendly and the cottage was very clean. He also made the trip to pick up and drop us off at the airport for free.
The location is rather remote with no restaurants nearby or places to visit alone on foot. As for the room, there’s a fan but No AC (Impossible to have it because of the cottage’s open built character). So there is no humidity control either (I’m being too picky here but Amazon is a rain forest). Didn’t get a chance to join any tours due to unexpected rains and political protests. Since the family don’t speak English and my husband and I don’t speak Spanish, communications among us were challenging. Also I felt a little upset because the 18% VAT charge was added to the final bill although we’re not citizens of Peru.

Wonderful location at the riverside, super friendly staff who even gave us a ride to town. Excellent value for money

one of a kind property that is located a steps away from river Tambopata and doesn’t have bugs/ insects and mosquitoes biting every inch of you. the host Emmanuel and family have done an excellent job of insect proofing the property and allowing you to enjoy view from the cottage .
we sat outside in the balcony and was pleasantly surprised to not see blooding sucking insects and bugs flying around. you have to do your part of keeping the cottage door closed at all times as well.
the breakfast is simple , healthy and delicious . couldn’t believe their freshly squeezed orange juice didn’t have sugar or honey added . loved every sip of it !
highly recommend the English guided tour of lago Sandoval that was referred by Emmanuel !

-The views from the lodge are very beautiful.

Emanuel, Marisela and family do an amazing job of keeping their property in top shape and making everything easy for guests, including booking any number of tours. They prepare delicious organic meals up to 3x per day (we usually had 2), and hook you up with whatever transportation needs you have to/from town or airport (each is about 10-15 mins; not far). The newness of the property combined with the family's attention to details of the modern day traveler (fridge, wifi, shower, drinking water) made our visit super easy, and we speak little Spanish, and some other guests spoke none. Our T-Mobile cell coverage also worked just fine.

if you are doubting where to book; BOOK THIS ONE! It's new; truely family-ran; and Emanuel goes beyond and above to make you feel home. The water was clear unlike many hotels and the lodges (only 3) are very clean there was no bugs or weird spiders inside.
I never wanted to leave!! Make sure to play with the kids (Andreio) and the animals around (Liya)

The hosts were very kind and helpful, they picked us up and dropped us as well at the station. The apartment was very clean and spacious. The environment is so relaxed, it’s an island of peace. It was around 17 degrees at night and we could sleep very comfortably. We didn’t manage to get hot water from the shower but they are installing it.

Beautiful location right on the tambopata river. The lodge is new, clean and comfortable. The owners are really sweet and make you feel right at home. Try the fish in the evening, it is the best!

Best food ever! The lodges are completely new and super clean. We loved the silence, but also the near to the city.
Personal service of the hosts is amazing. Great recommendations, guided tours are available and a great location of the bungalows at the river.
We definitely recommend this Airbnb for couples, families and also friends travelling together.
Especially the fishes Emanuel prepared for us will stay in our memory!
