Breakfast was lovely. We enjoyed eggs, avocado, fresh fruit, toast and my favourite little donuts which were a lovely treat. The pool and facilities were immaculate, such beautiful gardens and so nice to be able to lounge by the pool with a book after shopping at the markets.

It was close to the city centre. Very nice staff, they provided airport shuttle. The pool was nice and taken care of. Breakfast is simple - fried eggs, toasts, fruits, sometimes pancakes or some sweet pastry. Water with lemon and black coffee to drink.
Breakfast could be more varied - sausages, vegetable, ham, cheese, bacon etc.

Vaea Hotel is a small hotel in the quieter part of the Apia CBD. It's a place that slowly reveals itself - literally, as there is no street sign to announce its presence. You have to go into the property driveway to see the property name written on the door, so they're clearly not chasing passing traffic. The facilities are modest, but clean. It's run by a quiet, friendly couple who provide a simple Pacific style breakfast (I've yet to find a Samoan hotel that makes a big deal of breakfast), and are very helpful with things like calling taxis, arranging transport, and being flexible. I was stunned when, knowing that I was catching an evening flight, they proactively offered a 6pm checkout at no extra charge - I've never had that happen before. Although I'm sure they can only do that when they have rooms available, it shows their flexible and thoughtful approach.
I also want to make a special mention of the nearby Indian restaurant, Spice House, which was delicious and inexpensive. Do NOT go to the Apia McDonalds (about 10 minutes walk away) - trust me, nothing good can come of that.
Don't expect luxury, and being Apia there will be roosters and barking dogs. But it's a safe area, and the most frightening thing to happen might just be being invited to bible study as you walk past one of the many churches.

Die herzliche, private Atmosphäre. Die Lage, fast alles fußläufig zu erreichen.
TV hat noch nicht funktioniert.

Very helpful and friendly owners who went out of their way to assist. Comfortable room. Quiet location that is not far from the centre of town. Good breakfast in the very pleasant garden area.
Nothing - this hotel fully met my expectations.

It was v good
Limited staff involvement disappointing as we had an accident in the street. They were not proactive, just helpful if we requested anything

The garden was lovely.
We arrived before check in time, and our room was not ready which was fine. We asked if we could leave our bags and come back at check in time. Our bags were left in the foyer, where anyone had full access! There is no safe in the room to store valuables and given our bags were left where anyone had access to them I had no confidence that any valuables would be taken care of by the owner.
The amenities listed at the property show wifi is available. I needed to use wifi for less than 2 minutes in our three night stay. Owner was adamant that there was no wifi and I had to buy a data pack to go with the local sim that was provided, which involved a trip to the local shop and a lot of time to set up.
The curtains in the room were incredibly dirty.
We found the male proprietors of this property to be rude and unhelpful.
The pool requires maintenance, the filter did not run at any time during our stay, nor did I see anyone water testing. There is mould around the edge of the pool.

The hosts are the greatest asset for this place. They are genuinely helpful, caring and engaged. The breakfasts were always tasty and a great way to start the day. It was only a short walk to town or the central market which we enjoyed every day as we got to explore a variety of stores along the way. We loved our stay with Dean and Lupae and would definitely stay again.

The staff were so friendly and the breakfasts were delicious! It's tucked away in a cute little spot and the pool area feels so private.
It is super hard to find the hotel since there is no signage on the road. You have to pull into the driveway to see the Vaea Hotel sign. We drove past it twice and were quite stressed we couldn't find the hotel.

The property was simple and all we needed for our first stay in samoa
It was quite near a busy road which was quite loud and we didn’t realise but that wasn’t too much of an issue

As a solo traveller this was the perfect place to start my holiday. Quiet but close to town. The hosts were very accommodating and always willing to help, whether it was with local knowledge or just to carry my bags.
Perhaps just a sign to direct guests where to park, otherwise i couldn't fault the place!

Property and location are brilliant. The pool and garden area were stunning and an excellent place to sit around and have a delicious cocktail. Rooms are clean and spacious, aircon worked and absolute charm for when the humid weather got too much. Bathroom was also equipped with everything we needed. Breakfast was an excellent start to our day every morning, the hotel is also close to a very lovely little cafe which is just a 1 minute walk away. Overall, this hotel was absolutely excellent and I will recommend it to anyone travelling to Apia - absolutely faultless and perfect!
