Absolutely stunning location. Beautiful escape to relax and enjoy the views. Very friendly & helpful staff who provide plenty tea, coffee, juice & water if requested. Day beds are fabulous for relaxing on and there are a few loungers, swings and hammocks too. The team kept the beach & chalets very clean.
The food was very similar each meal, a bit more variety would be appreciated. Lack of AC made it very hot at night, although good fans are provided and if the door and/or window is left open a nice breeze helps cool the room.

This place is a little paradise. Perfect to disconnect after a roadtrip around Bornéo . Nice beach, very nice chalets. 3 chalets only so it is very intimate. Food is really good & fresh (thank you Chef). Good staff and very nice cats ;)
Communication before our arrival was really awesome but once arrived it was sometimes complicated. This could be improved.

The place is wonderful, private and the view is marvelous. We have a little problem with the room and water pressure when we reached there but it being fix instantly. The staff was helpful and even their manager Natasha comes from KK to check if everything is in order. The service and hospitality by the host is very good. We loved the scenery, . My family have a good time with nature and also the Cats there is so cute and taken care well . Overall, if you want a private event with your family, connect with nature and the sea this is the perfect place to go.. They using solar DC so make sure your HP charge full and bring a power bank before coming. It's a very friendly and sustainability environment.. Will we come again? InshaAllah highly recommended.
The breakfast could be more variety but it's ok.

At first I was a bit skeptical because the place is quiet isolated and there’s no Wi-Fi in your room, but I quickly started to love this place for exactly these reasons. This place is wonderful and the best way to relax in nature with a wonderful view. The beach is very beautiful and clean, you can go to many areas by boat during the day, and the staff is so nice and will help you out with anything. They are going out of their way to ensure you’ll have a good time here.
There’s nothing I didn’t like, but maybe if there’s one thing they could improve it’s to actually not provide you with excess tea, coffee and food all the time. I could hardly finish my tea and food because I got a whole big kettle and giant meals, they could maybe invest in smaller tea kettles and save some of their resources a bit to decrease excessive food waste.

Rustic accommodation with staff that went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. So friendly and happy to help at every turn. Unbelievable location right on a private beach in a bay with very few other travelers. It was such a special stay. Thank you so much.

The location is wonderful, secluded and clean beaches, beautiful sunsets, and only reachable by a short boat ride, so nicely cut-off from the "outside world". The bungalows have outdoor showers, which are nice. If you prefer fan vs. air cons and want to do a digital detox (no wifi provided, poor signal strength), this is the ideal place.
Out hostess was lovely and the staff very kind and accommodating. Overall a great experience for the entire family (incl grandparents and children).
Considering it was a six-day stay, the breakfast could have used a little variety (but then again, we didn't mention anything, so it might have been assumed that we were content) and a little less oil, most of the evening meals were delicious, although the meat dishes tended to be a little too chewy.
Take care with the slippery-went-wet steps leading to the bungalows and to the shower area if you have small children with you. This is not really a fault of the property, just something to keep in mind, that it is not entirely small child friendly.

If you like the nature, the simplicity, excellent food and calm athmosphere- you should stay at Bechaven chalets. Everything what one needs to recharge.
The staff is extremly helpful, free snorkeling gear, fresh fruits inbetween meals, amazing sunsets...

chalets we’re clean & comfy, outdoor bathroom was great, staff were attentive & eager to please. Location was beautiful, very peaceful- nice sunsets 😍
No menu at the restaurant, staff just bring out what they have made (if u have any dietary restrictions this is difficult- I am a vegetarian & was served fish) there was no communication regarding what food requirements u may have. This may be due to the lack of English spoken, although, more senior staff seemed to speak English but were not around to liaise with guests.
Only solar power available, which I commend 100% - but this should be made clear BEFORE booking.
Charging phone at night is discouraged (which is fine) but I found I was unable to charge phone during the day also. This was a problem for me as I had booked for 3 days, if my phone was flat after that time then I would be unable to organize transport/accommodation to my next destination. People do rely on their phones these days, especially when travelling.
I feel this should be made clear in booking advertisements so u are aware of this BEFORE u book.
Staff also spending the whole day raking leaves in front of the (only 2) bungalows so does not feel very private as they are always watching you.
They also smoke a lot in front of bungalows on the beach so the smell of cigarettes is always present. I would recommend they only smoke in the partitioned staff area off to the side, where they would not bother guests with the smell.
I gathered they smoke in front of bungalows as this is the only area where there is phone reception…… ironically they suggest that guests “switch off their phone” & enjoy the environment……..

The first accommodation ever where I give a full rating - the best of the best. It's probably not for everyone, but we really had a heavenly time there. The accommodation is away from civilization (when the tide is high, they take you from the small village for about 5 minutes by speedboat, when the tide is low, you have to walk about 1.5 kilometers, which is also romantic - because the helpers carry your luggage). There are only 3 chalets on the beach, so even when it is "crowded", there are no more than a few people. With the tide you have the sea right by the terrace - and the sea is beautifully warm and clean and there are beautiful shells in it. The accommodation is simple, but you are only in for the night anyway. We all loved the open-air bathroom. The best thing though is the care that awaits you there. The manager and his wife looked after us like we were family. We paid for our lunch and dinner (which in all honesty we couldn't have done any other way as there is no restaurant anywhere). The price was not low by local standards (40 MYR lunch + 40 MYR dinner per pax, August 2022) but it was definitely worth it. We always had 3 different meals, one of which was always freshly baked fish, plus watermelon for dessert. The kids paid nothing and there was always enough for the four of us. The ability to refill our drinking water at any time is also a big advantage. This magical place was one of the highlights of our Borneo trip.

Beautiful houses on one of the nicest beaches I have seen iny life. You can use the kayak to go to the small island where you can see coral and many species of fish. The family that runs this facility are the nicest people who will take care of you for the entire stay.

The location was amazing, secluded beach, clean & comfortable and very rustic. Nice to be excluded. the staff on site were helpful, friendly & nice but limited English speaking. Rez the manager ruined our stay though... so i recommend staying at Big Fin Divers instead just up the beach. better facilities, food and vibe.
Rez the manager was very abusive over whats app. facilities didnt match the cost. extra charge of 40 RM PER MEAL was communicated one day before arrival and due to options you can't eat any where else. They only serve hot water. no cold soft drinks or cold water available for purchase. when asked to explore this as met with abusive whats app from rez. he also insulted other holidaymakers who were staying with us. too many stray dogs close to your belongings & near us who are unpredictable in behaviour. Dogs begging in the restaurant at meal times.

Staying in paradise, on the beach, very tranquil, beautiful bay, good food
The costs at the end, would be better if prices of meals where clear in beginning

Great location. The owner and his daughter provided kind help with facilitating transport to and from the place which is rather isolated. They even took the trouble to book a hotel for us in the next stop (Kota Belud). The food is good but one should be aware that it might lean slightly more towards Malay than western tastes. The houses are simple but comfortable. No internet or even phone connection which provides a nice detox. Maybe the place is priced slightly above the quality.

Fabulous stay in this remote beach haven. The isolated location, the friendly staff, and the copious wonderful food made this such a memorable stay. Our 4 year old daughter loved the place, as did we.
Thank you everyone from the Beachhaven.
Keep on travelling!
Nothing to note.

We opted to take a cool box and BBQ so we did not take advantage of the food offering at the resort. The location is very nice with great sunsets and lovely view of Mount Kinabalu. The location is quiet with limited activities but if you are looking to escape for a night or two and chill out it is a great place and reasonably quick journey from Kota Kinabalu by car.
Although we did not make use of the catering there which i believe was included in the price i believe that they could possibly benefit from a bar area there to allow guests to socialise if that is what they are seeking. I understand the resort is reasonably new so perhaps this is planned in the near future.

I didn't like the feelings of wanting to stay longer here. Missing THBC so much!

Everything! Perfect bungalow with the most amazing open air bathroom - fully equipped with umbrella for the “sitting down” should it rain :0)
Free dugout canoe for the kids to use on the safe shallow sandy bay, where you can observe them while enjoying the complimentary welcome drink in the shade of the veranda or the daybed.
Food is great too and very fairly priced.
I could not think of a single thing that could be better. Loved it
