Schöner Pool mit traumhaftem Ausblick, stilvoll eingerichtete Zimmer, freundliches Personal, gute Küche

Stunning pool and scenery! We were two of four people in the hotel and the staff were very attentive! If you want an escape from everything it’s a good a place! We had the bungalow which was a nice bit of extra space!
The shower and bath were faulty. Construction work on the bar which we were not informed of. Not easy to get out of the hotel so something to consider if you want to wander out for dinner etc.

The view from the deck
Worst place I have ever stayed at !! Terrible in every way . They never answer the phone when you try to ring to get picked up as it’s a long steep dusty hill . No hot water for 4 days then they had to move me to another villa . Air con is poor and it took two days to get a fan . No curtain at front door so anyone can see you in the bed . When I asked for drinking water it took 30 mins most times to get my bottles filled and one day they ran out of drinking water . Internet continues to drop out . I spoke to Marrianne the manger and she offered me one free meal in compensation. . If you think this is untrue then read other people’s reviews .

Very difficult to find anything good to say about this place. Visually it looks nice from certain angles but that's it, and this doesn't even carry to the whole place.
I often shrug off some bad reviews thinking it can't be that bad, but genuinely this hotel is the worsts I have experienced and feels like a complete tourist trap.
Location: It's badly located on top of a hill around 25 mins from El Nido town, the area is a building site with nothing else around. Taxis, TukTuks etc. won't go up the hill so you will likely have to walk up at some point. This is essentially a 10-15min Uphill walk on a rocky path. They state 5min somewhere which is hugely unrealistic, it's a 10-15 min uphill trek. Instead of running complimentary shuttles to El Nido Town, they capatilise on the fact you are stuck by charging you 10x the local taxi rate to use their 4x4, they also have only one which you will be competing for with other guests and I had to wait 3 hours to be picked up when using it. The round trip cost to El Nido Town is 30 USD (Should be 3 USD in a tuktuk) Given you are on a hill with nothing else around, you will likely be forced to use this service.
Facilities: The hotel itself has a small pool, restaurant and 5 rooms. You may think on the images it looks nice, this is completely superficial and you quickly find out it is tired and impractical. The restaurant is open and has no aircon, the food is expensive and of poor quality compared to El Nido Town, you also aren't allowed to bring food or drink from outside and again given the poor location will be forced to eat there.
No fridge, dirty rooms, ant infested and mouldy. Had to pay for drinking water also. This is the only place in the philippines I got food poisoning also.
Staff were rude and unhelpful, rooms had no curtains so you can see the bed from outside, and the bathroom had a seethrough netting. Staff lingered outside rooms which added to this made us feel uncomfortable. They also charge everything to the room but wouldn't give me receipts so I had to take their word for the cost..
Also no wifi in rooms, and poor wifi in the main part.

The service and the staff. The best example of Philippinos kindness.
The access to the hotel and the food.
Basically you can't access the hotel with your own car or bike. you need to climb a narrow vertical dirt track full of rocks. impossible to do without a powerful 4x4 car and a advanced driving skills. The access to the hotel turns the visitor prisoner of the hotel transportation system. They pick you up downhill to take you to the hotel. you cannot go by yourself. Once you are at the hotel, you must pay their transportation fees to go the beach, otherwise you are stuck at the hotel. they charge 70€ for a back and forth ride to Nacpan Beach, which is 20mn away.
We had dinner on the first night and one member of our delegation got sick for 3 days (foodborne disease, diarrheas). The breakfast is super simple, 2 pancakes and fruits. You cannot consider Ahana a restaurant, because there is no chef in the kitchen. just homemade basic food.

Property is on the top of the hill which gives you the view and solitude, I specially loved that there’s only 5 rooms so 90% of the times, it’s all private to us. The finishings of the resort gives that luxurious feeling.
Staff were AMAZING, they go beyond their duties, always with a smile on their face and tried to help us more than onces (we were injured in a previous island), they even offered to help me do my luggage which I think is super sweet.
They also ask you for breakfast options the day before to have it ready when you tell them to. I think service wise/staff they are 13/10
Food is ok with improvements to make, they will get there as staff is amazing. I think what’s really necessary is to offer service water to the guests to avoid plastic bottles as much as possible.
The message about shuttle costs should be evident on the booking page so people are clear about it since the beginning.
Also they have a weird playlist of 10 edm and pop songs that they blast all day in their resto-bar swimming pool. We’ve asked them to put the volume lower to have breakfast which staff was attentive enough to the same the next day. What I meant here is to maybe create different playlists depending the time of the day to create a mood, you don’t want the same music in the morning and whilst the happy hours.

but the water pressure was very bad. There was no hot water.

The place is stunning and far from the crazy el nido town… this is the place you want to stay to enjoy the silence and a beautiful view. We were scared about the road that brings up but honestly we have done it with the scooter, which we have rented thanks to the advice of another guest who has posted here the number of this rental guy (Joh). The guy can bring you there the scooter and the problem of being a bit far and with this difficult road is done.
The staff was absolutely great, they are nice and kind and always at your service. I will come back!
The road is not great but it will be finished soon!

Stunning location with amazing facilities and the best view of the sunset
Nothing, it’s a little out of the way but the resort offers transportation to wherever you want to go. This is at additional fees but it’s more than worth it for the 5 star quality of the resort and location

The pool view that's it
Everything except the view which is there anyway.
Full of bad suprise.
Customer service try to rip you off.
Charging you for something you've already paid.
I had to fight with customer service because of the construction noise, electricity down, people yelling all the time.

The view that's it!
Worst hotel in El nido.
The hotel employes announce me after I made the booking a lot of rules never mention in the booking.
The electricity run off from 12 to 2pm and I ask the lobby they told me yes it's always like that but they never mention it in the booking info.
I had 2 breakfast included I only eat one and they call the police to make me pay the only breakfast I've eat even if I did pay for 2 already...
I book this place to have calm and quiet Time the lady/men ( dont know his or her name ) of the lobby was always talking really loud to my the only other guest who was on the resort with me so always wake me up during nap time.
Also every day you hear hammer and saw construction... So very enoying
The main road I had to climb it by foot because it was very dangerous for taxi since it's sleeping and full of huge rock.
They say by the way sir if it's raining you will be stock here... We cannot go down thought the road... So feel like a prison or worst.
Also bring my own alcool grey goose and the told me if I'm drinking that they will charge me for drinking my own alcool... Which was in the rules they send me after I made the booking....
So don't go there if it's only for the view you will have better experience at other place with almost same view.

The staff is super good and the views are wonderful. The common areas are comfortable and you can relax there.
People must try the bar/swimming pool and the views from there.
It’s difficult to arrive unless you hire the hotel transfer.

The view and food was nice.
Service was shocking.
They ask you to leave the hotel due to a power cut for 5 hours between 10 and 3pm every day. The wifi barely works.
The rooms didn't have hot water.
Staff were not welcoming or pleasant.
The road to get to the hotel isn't even a road it's a 500 meter dirt track full of rocks and when it is wet only a Ute or 4wd can trek up it. When it rains it's unsafe for even those vehicles so you can't get to the hotel or to the town. They only offer one free shuttle to the main road from the hotel, being that its inaccessible unless you hike up to the hotel customers shouldn't have to pay for a second or third pick up.
No taxis or grabs can come to the hotel only the main road at the bottom of the 500 meter trek.
We checked in for 4 nights and checked out within 4 hours due to how uncomfortable and unsafe it felt. Even the employees didn't seem to care or even ask why we were checking out.

amazing property and great staff & service. good food, amazing decor, very quiet.
at this location at night, the sky is full of stars which was amazing thing that you dont get to see at the city center.
pool was nice but full of buggs and was difficult to enjoy. staff cleaned it daily but within an hour it was again dirty. we were there in april which is a high point of buggs so i guess its not ahanas falt.

The staff were extremely attentive and friendly. The service was fantastic. The room was very comfortable with a wonderful bed and view from the room. The pool was really great for a late afternoon wind down with a view. It was perfect for the 3 nights we stayed there and feels like it is much more than 3 star.
Delicious food.
The access road was in a very poor state after the rain, so had to walk up and down because it was too muddy for vehicles. Didn't mind it so much because its not that far, would be challenging for older people.
Although the menu was delicious, it was very limited and not cheap. No fridge in room as they don't allow other drink to be brought in.

The view was nice
Clearly this hotel has paid for their reviews. Do not stay in this hotel. We had such a bad experience that we ended up leaving the Philippines 10 nights short of what was planned. It has completely put us off. For starters, the entry to the hotel is a dirt track up a steep hill which is a very dangerous building site. Be warned that the only entry/exit to the hotel is via hotel 4x4 and they charge a lot of money for the service. Tuk tuks and outside vehicles can not get into the hotel. They will drop you at the bottom and expect you to walk in the boiling heat or a mud slide if it rains. Also- the 4x4 vehicle can not drive the hill when it rains therefore you can not leave or get into the hotel unless you are prepared to get VERY muddy. What happens if there is an emergency or you are elderly or not able to walk steep hills easily? Hill aside, the hotel is more like a hostel with a very bad resteraunt and an awful locational that is certainly not central. We asked to speak to the owner to which we were informed they were not available and that the husband of the owner was in fact English- what the hell is he thinking? Surely he knows better than to rip tourists off in return for this level of customer service. This hotel is not cheap and you certainly do not get your moneys worth. We were not offered any refund for leaving early nor any money off the 4x4 service. Let’s not forget the WiFi is terrible. I also requested an airport pick up and a birthday cake for my partner on his birthday which I did not get. Not even a happy birthday. We spoke to other guests at the hotel and they all had the exact same thoughts. We hope to get some sort of compensation but after the way we have been treated I really don’t think the owners care. They are after one thing only.

We loved the staff and the beauty of the decor. They try to be a 5 star place but they are not (you are not paying for 5 stars ;). Still it is beautifull and the staff is very helpfull.
If you want to see al nido this is not the place for your. Transfer from the hotel to the city is 800 pesos one way. And you can hire a scooter but the entrance from the road to the hotel is a working road with big holes and rocks and it is steep! Even the 4x4 had some trouble going up. So if you want rest yes this is you place! If you want to see thing this is not!!

Definitely it’s the view, stylish lobby and swimming pool.
Staff were very friendly and polite.
Restaurant was good enough.
Unfortunately, cups, that beautiful bathroom and windows were dirty, worth saying that they replaced the cups quickly.
The hotel is situated on the hill and you have to walk about 300 metres, because after the rain the road could be slippery and it could be a dirty ‘trip’. But they have a transfer so you can ask for it.

The view truly is stunning. the pool is nice.
the property is located at the top of a mud train, maybe a 10 minute walk. not a road. not even gravel. literally a mud train where lots of heavy construction is happening along with heavy machinery. they charge you a lot - 800 php which is 2-3 means EACH TIME TO GO UP AND DOWN. so you have to either walk down the side of a mountain in the mud or PAY TO LEAVE. the staff is very very rude about all of this, because they are in over their heads. the front desk is clueless, the manager is a bad leader. after being over an hour late picking us up from the airport (10 minutes away) we tried to check in and ran into a long list of problems. they do not offer the activities they claim to offer, there are bugs in the rooms and the general construction is poor (the shower drains so slow it floods, the tub never fills, there are loose tiles in the pool). the manager offer is a free dinner to prevent us from trying to leave (they wouldn’t approve our request for a refund so we could leave) and once it arrived she called me to tell me it wasn’t free, it was still 700 pesos. for that amount she proved this is a place with no class, and no sense of what a guest is.
5.0 / 10.0
Staff were nice. Food was alright but limited choice. The sunset view was amazing.
What we really didn't like is the lack of transparency of the hotel on the site. They didn't disclose the lack of electricity and the surrounding construction. You only find this out a few days before check-in so you have no recourse to change as the payment couldn't be refunded. This information should be disclosed upfront to guests on the site.
The road access to the hotel was not great. If you stay there, you really need to hire your own dirt bike or a 4x4 car.
As there is nothing around there but construction you need to travel to places if you want to eat something else other than the hotel food.
Lastly if the trip and hotel stay is to celebrate a special occasion like we were, definitely not the place to be.

Really nice spot to relax and take in the stunning view. Staff are very friendly and go out of their way to help.
- It’s powered by a generator which runs most of the day. There’s a constant humming in the background.
- the only way up and down is by 4 wheel drive. Through a seriously rocky and muddy road. They charge you for the journey each way and it is not cheap.

Very cozy clean new hotel. Amazing view. If you want to spend time in silence without nosy traffic and people, it’s really the best place to do. We came there for one day to celebrate my birthday. I like the interior of the hotel with amazing panoramic swimming pool.
Hot water was always turned off, so we had to always asked administrators to turn it on.
I marked that I had a birthday, but they ignored it. It’s not a big problem, but usually other hotels present fruits or cakes. Just wish you be more attentive to your guests 🤗

the pool looking at the ocean is amazing! the room was super cute and comfortable. the breakfast was delicious and with a lot of different options and we also ate at the restaurant at dinner and the food was quite good.
it’s quite hard to get to the property, the way is very steep and it’s not possible to go by motorcycle.
they didn’t offer any drink for breakfast, you would have to pay extra

Ahana, a Japanese owned hotel at the outskirts of El Nido Palawan. Located at the top of a hillside at Brgy. Pasadena, it's surrounded by nature that's relaxing to the eyes. Trees as far as the eyes can see and a stunning view of Lio Beach.
However, eyes can be deceiving the road to the hotel is a treacherous dirt road. You'll have to make use of their pick up truck that charges 500 pesos per trip because the local tricycles aren't able to reach the top. What's worse is the hotel inaccessible by any vehicle if it rains due to how unstable the mud becomes during and after. During our experience we were asked to walk in the mud but since we had a baby with us, we were forced to book to another hotel in town, so that's almost 9k down the drain for us since the tricycle to get there was around 400 per trip. Another one is the 9:30PM curfew they have for their service, if you go over that you're on your own forced to walk in the dark. Also they do not mention in their account page here in booking or message you personally beforehand that they don't have an electricity in certain hours of the day which was disappointing and some of the infos they posted here in not accurate like how far it its accessibility.

Staff was unparalleled. They waited up to check us in at 11:30pm after airswift canceled our flight on us. They were accommodating and friendly and amazing. 10/10 would recommend and plan to return with family.
The bacon lettuce and tomato sandwich wasn’t amazing. The rest of the food was amazing, but the BLT kinda sucked. Think tomatoes were out of season because underipe. The aoli that went with it was very tasty though.

The property is really beautiful. It has a nice pool with a view, a nice deck, a few sunbeds and some chairs for you to lay under the sun.
Bonus points for the food: everything we ate there was really good.
The staff is mostly nice.
The villa we stayed in was beautiful.
They have transfer from the location to the main road which, trust me, it is necessary.
ogh, many things.
To begin with, I wouldn’t stay there again not because it’s bad, but because it’s far away from Corong corong beach or the port area where many boats are leaving from.
You don’t need to tip at this location because the tip is included in your bill, apart from the listed prices. I believe is 10% or 15% in top of what you pay.
They say here they have laundry services and massage, but at the location they said they don’t have. They say the massage personal is “full” but we were only three couples at the location, so it ie hard for me to believe that.
They don’t have hair dryer in the room.
I tried opening a drawer and some worms came out which was ew.
They don’t have electricity 24h/7days: between 10:00 and 15:00 the power is out.
Wifi and signals are poor to not working, it depends.
The location is uphill. You need the transfer from the resort to the main road which they have for free from the morning until 10:00pm. And from here to the beach or other busy places, you’ll need a ride or a bike.
Again, it was a nice place, but too expensive for the facilities and location on maps.
