Prachtig oud huis op een zeer centrale lokatie. Prima ingericht. Ook de bedden waren goed.
De geluiden uit de straat waren in de nacht irritant.

Very basic but did the job

The character and the age.

Large and charmingly very old. Beautifully renovated and nicely furnished with a gorgeous view of a church out of the back windows. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. The entrance and quirky layout added to the overall atmospheric feel of stepping back through the centuries! We loved it!
There was nothing we didn’t like.

Location is good as it is close to the railway station, and walking to the city centre only takes a few minutes. Nearby there are also some restaurants and supermarkets.
The building itself is a heritage with over 400 years history. The furniture interior decoration follows the theme and is full of character. It is beautifully decorated with historic embroidery paintings on the wall. It is prettier than what are shown in Booking.com. The facilities in the kitchen are sufficient too, though there is very limited supply of coffee and tea.
The living room is located on the top floor (attic) so that you may not have the energy to go up to sit in the sofa for social /family communication during the stay after a day's sightseeing walk. The heating for water may need boosting to get hot enough water for shower at night, which can be easily accommodated by pushing the "boost" button and with the fan heater in the toilet to keep warm.
On the ground floor, there is nothing but a long bench, and it is dark there. So you cannot take a rest immediately after arriving back the property after a long day. You have to walk upstairs to your bedroom but cannot lie on the beds due to dirtiness of clothes. The dining chairs in the dining room and kitchen on the 1st floor are also too hard for a rest.

Very quirky property in a good location.
Very roomy and warm.
Beds comfy especially the double in the large room.
Stairs very steep.
The gate code was very hard to get in ( a helpful man on the street had to help me get in as the lock could do with oiling)
Would like a little later check out.

Very quirky and spacious. Good position near city centre. Good supply of kitchen equipment and basics.
Cleanliness left something to be desired - kitchen/ bathroom facilities all clean, but window frames and inside wardrobe very dusty and grubby.
More hangers would have been appreciated, I think we had 5 for 6 people.

Property has plenty of space, is full of character and very well located in the middle of York.
The property would benefit from a bit of maintenance here and there, but nothing to detract from our stay. We were fine with the stairs, but not for those with mobility problems.

great location, clean, comfortable, GREAT ARCHITECTURE!!!!

Loved this property - very quirky and properly historic in a very central location with everything walkable from the doorstep. Plenty of space and not a straight floor, wall or ceiling to be found in the property.
Smashed my head on low hanging kitchen lights a couple of times and did well not to do the same on some of the ceilings, but all this was expected added to the atmosphere.
There is some nightlife on the street, but settled down by 11 with only the occasional disturbance thereafter.

What an amazing location!! This apartment has such character but with all mod cons. In the wildest of weather the apartment was warm and comfortable, close to great cafes, restaurants, bars and shop. I would highly recommend.
Lack of toiletries- a minor point easily resolved in local shops.

Very well located and very quirky. Would have liked a TV in bedrooms but other than that it was amazing. Would book again.

Quirky layout. All facilities exactly what you need. Beds comfortable. Children really enjoyed the separate rooms to use for space.
Nothing really to say negative.

Thought it was very quirky and fitted in with the surroundings ideal location for both parking and the amenities our first time in you accommodation and we would definitely come back to this apartment

Fantastic stay, great location but be aware that there is a certain amount of late evening noise due to local bars etc. Would happily recommend

Good location, charactered house. Clean and comfortable.
The single bed moves when getting off the bed as they have wheels not sure these are necessary 🤔. Maybe one more kitchen towel would be helpful. The smaller shower room window cannot be kept open.
