The cottage (cc9) was fantastic. Very comfortable, spacious, and well equipped.
A home from home.
The shower cubical in the upstairs filled up when having a shower. The trap may need unblocked. We used the shower over the bath downstairs.

Very easy to check in, host very friendly.
There were some marks on some of the walls, cottage could use a coat of paint in some areas.

CC5 - Location great - within 2min walking distance to Loch Ness and 5mins to town centre.
Spacious.
Good heating system. Log fire too.
Bottle of wine and milk on arrival. Lots of basic essentials. Friendly host.
Property starting to tire a wee bit. One of the sofas missing parts of material, towel radiators rusty, Dishwasher didn’t close properly. Stain on rug. Someone else’s shirt under bed!
Water pressure in upstairs shower was poor. Water temperature much colder compared to downstairs.
Could hear neighbours coming and going.
Had to put all cutlery, plates and glasses through dishwasher as wasn’t clean.
Really needs some TLC.

The location was great, the abbey itself is amazing.
It was difficult to find the reception- a sign is needed as it’s downstairs. A very minor issue!!

The property is a fantastic cottage. It has everything you need for a short or long stay.
It is in an ideal location, only a short stroll to the Main Street, but also so quite and comfortable

Park up in the waiting area, someone will be with you in 15 minutes to show you where to go, open the cottage up and explain how things work
The signs, parking 15 minutes maximum, reading the sign you feel you only have 15 minutes until you have to move, they mean someone will be with you in 15 minutes

Had a lovely long weekend in one of the cottages. Very spacious and well kitted out property. The pool was great and a beautiful setting. We booked in and used the wee gym which was a fine size for us. We enjoyed cracking sunny weather when visiting so picnicking at the Loch side was fab.
Having to pay for pool out of hours was a pain and seemed expensive.

Stunning location directly on the shore of Loch Ness, beautiful former abbey, great self-catering accomodation, friendly staff, local shop had everything we needed, in addition to that there are numerous cafés and restaurants in the village. Fantastic walks up the hills and along the river and canal.

The location was perfect and the property had everything we needed. The abbey and grounds where so impressive and it was a bonus to have the pool, sauna, games room and giant chessboard in such a magnificent building.
The only thing I could think of was that there was only one key given for 3 adults but that would not put me off staying again, we had a wonderful holiday.

The position only a few yards from the loch.
Nothing to dislike

Great location.
The accommodation we stayed in was tired and not what we expected for 4 star. Fixtures were broken and soft furnishings in need of repair. If you want to use the pool after 5pm there is a charge.

The location and cottage were great for a relaxing break, Loch Ness was in sight from our cottage window, everything you need within walking distance. Fort Augustus is certainly worth a visit and is ideally situated to explore the area, excellent boat trips leave from the town and there are lovely areas for walkers and climbers to spend some quality time. I will be returning to Fort Augustus later this year hopefully. Everyone in the town were very welcoming and friendly.
It was unfortunate that some places for eating were closed . probably a result of the pandemic?
I urge the owner of the property where we stayed to replace the beds as they are very uncomfortable and would prevent me from staying in that property again, which is a pity because we loved everything else, It would also be helpful to have the wifi connected to the sky box/router to enable more viewing options.

Good location and well equipped cottage
There was no lighting in the paths surrounding the cottage and it was pitch black in the night time. Sound proofing is poor.

The cottage was very comfortable and spacious with everything provided that we needed, and parking just outside. The location is ideal, with a short walk down to beautiful views over Loch Ness, and a very short walk to a number of places to eat in the village. Our host was very welcoming and helpful on arrival.
There was nothing that we didn't like. The only thing it would have helped to understand better is how to advance the water heating in order to take a bath, but as the shower water was very hot we didn't pursue this with our hosts in the end.
