The cabin is at a magnificent location, the owner was there to welcome us. Lots of free space around the cabin and direct view on loch ness. About 1 km walk from cabin to Fort August centre. Although small, the cabin was comfortable and racks were placed in the bedrooms and in the bathroom to store your own stuff.

I had an amazing time! The location was absolutely great - quiet and peaceful as I needed. Host was very friendly and gave me some good advise of where to go and explore. The facilities were also fabulous, everything I needed. I will definitely come back and highly recommend the place. 10 out of 10. Thanks!

Everything! The most comfortable home from home. We had everything we needed in the most incredible location with unrivalled views. The hosts are so warm and welcoming. Quite possibly one of our favourite breaks ever. Highly recommended.
Having to leave at the end of our break, but we'll be back!

Nothing. It was absolute perfection.

Excellent location away from the crowds around the village. Ash & Osh are a very friendly and welcoming couple. Loved waking up to the horses outside the summer house we were in. Plenty of land to walk around with a few Highland cattle to find. Can't be closer to Loch Ness on the pier! Bed was very comfortable, much needed after the long woodland walks.
Having to leave.

This place is magical. We had planned to use it as a base for exploring other areas but when we arrived it had such a great vibe that we decided to spend our time locally so we could enjoy the property and room for longer times. I can’t say enough. This is a gorgeous large country property on Loch Ness. Horses roamed freely. I immediately just took off my shoes and sat in the grass overlooking the Loch. I felt so at peace. I hear a neigh and turn to see two beautiful horses walking behind me. The breeze off the Loch and the lapping of the water against the shore was delightful. The owner was so nice. He told us he had highland cattle on his property so on day two we set off to find them. The property was huge and full of delightful discoveries- a lake, a treehouse, fields of wildflowers and we found the cattle and took some beautiful photos. And the private house we stayed in was so perfect with a peaceful outlook comfortable bed and small self catering kitchen. We actually decided to go to the grocery store and eat in just to prolong our use of the house. And on day two we drank our coffee on the porch with the horses in view behind us. I could gush on but you get the point. You have to experience this- words just can’t give you that ‘feeling’ that being here provides.
Absolutely NOTHING! It was perfect!

The view was breath-taking. We stayed in the end cabin which was quiet; we could not hear anyone else. The cabin itself was cosy and beautiful, well-stocked, with really comfortable beds. The hosts were friendly and helpful, with lots of suggestions for local pubs and restaurants. We had the most wonderful stay. I loved wandering the fields, meeting the friendly horses and dogs, and sitting for hours watching the loch.
Absolutely nothing! It was - frankly - blissful. I got a little muddled trying to work out which long driveway to follow, but I expect there were instructions supplied that I failed to notice. (The gates! Go to the gates and press the buzzer.)

Beautiful setting. Tucked away down a private road, it felt like we had Loch Ness all to ourselves. It's the perfect place to chill whilst exploring the surrounding area. Our little summerhouse was so cute. It made my day to open the curtains and find Cloud (one of 3 horses on the property) munching away at the grass by our porch! The owners are so friendly and nothing would be too much trouble. They were happy to leave you to it, but were more than happy to have a natter and provide recommendations.Would highly recommend and will hopefully return!
There were only a few teeny things I would change: the shower door didn't quite close properly, it would've been nice to have an oven (we were in the smallest cabin and it was clearly explained in the blurb that we wouldn't have one), and it would be a nice touch to have some blankets for sitting on the porch on an evening. These really are the smallest of things as it really is a fab place!

The location is excellent, a true “hidden”
gem in fort Augustus. Also the bed is probably the most comfortable I’ve ever had. The owners are lovely and hospitable and the kitchen is well equipped. Simply lovely!
That I had to leave :(

The sightseeing is spectacular. Location is so special on the lake I bieleve I have never seen any similar places with great location on Loch Ness like this. The whole place vibes serenity and freshness. The cabins are spotless and cosy. The animals, pond, woods, tree house, pier and other features all add to the assets of the place. The couple runs the property are so friendly and helpful that they make you feel extremely comfortable. Definitely will be back soon in the summer for star gazing and moon watching.

Laid back atmosphere
Cabin was a little bit on the small side and there wasn't really any space for three suit cases.

What a beautiful place to stay! The location could not be better, close to Fort Augustus, right at Loch Ness. Those views! We loved staying there, the owners were super friendly.

We were in the furthest cabin, and it backed onto the banks of Loch Ness. There was a horse field behind us, and it was here that the horses were kept overnight. We were told that if they bothered us then they could be moved, but we didn't hear them in the night, and it was nice to wake up to them grazing. Chickens free roaming, following us round the grounds, cheeky and very cute. (Watch out for the brown chicken, she kept trying to come into the cabin lol). The horses were lovely, very sweet. Sometimes free roaming and it was lovely to see them trotting wherever. We even had one grazing outside our bedroom window which was lovely. The cabin was light and airy and gorgeous, very nicely decorated. It felt like home and was so relaxing. Dishwasher, oven, fridge everything you need. We had a fire pit in the garden area which was great to sit by and have marshmallows in the dark. Osh and Ash were so sweet and friendly and made us very welcome. I loved that we were greeted by Margot and Amber the dogs and the chickens. Ash greeted us and gave us a tour and Osh was also very welcoming and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. The whole location was just idyllic. The drive up the path was breathtaking as we drove past the Loch and then we got to the grounds. 75 acres? Fileds for the horses and chickens. farm buildings and an old pier as the place was named. Mountain views. Loch Views just stunning. waking up to the clouds coming down over the water and the sunrise over Loch Ness was like a dream. We had a walk around the woodland and saw the highland cows, who we were told were friendly but advised to keep at least 3m away. They were grazing in woodland and looking as at home as could be. what a sight. Beautiful animals.
Absolutely nothing to say negatively. Apart from being eaten alive by gnats and midges which is not something anyone can help, we were in the open and rural and on the banks of a large body of water.

Fantastic views, super clean and comfy cabin with everything you need. Feeling of being wonderfully remote yet just a 10 minute walk to the village with all the amenities you’d need. Osh and Ash super helpful and friendly as were all the lovely animals :) highly recommend!

What a gem!
We rented the summer house cabin for 3 nights from the fabulous hosts Osh & Ash. The summer house had a little kitchette, perfect for breakfasts and making simple meals and a lovely veranda.
Old Pier House sits on it's own small peninsula which juts out into Loch Ness at the southern end, at Fort Augustus.
With 70 acres of land, which along with the cabins and main house accommodates 4 horses, 3 dogs, 3 chickens and tucked away in another field a handful of Highland cattle, this location felt like a chapter out of Enid Blyton's famous five.
Down the 500 metre (ish) drive and you're in the heart of lovely Fort Augustus, which feels like a different world, with the canal, lock gates, pubs, restaurants, gift shops and Loch cruises.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommended Old Pier House and its cabins. It was truly fabulous and so relaxing.
Thank you Osh & Ash

Beautiful location and a great cabin for time away together. Hosts (and pets) were incredibly friendly and very welcoming. Cabin really is on the bank of Loch Ness with great views. Nice and isolated and private, whilst in walking distance of town. Would stay here again. Can't recommend it enough.

Everything. It went beyond our expectations.

Everything! Fab location right on Loch Ness. We loved the dogs and the chickens wandering about everyday. Sadly we didn't get to see the horses or the Highland coos as the owners were away so they weren't wandering about and we didnt end up looking for them. My kids loved running around the grounds playing and the tree swing! Very close to main fort augustus so that was just a wee walk away which we easily walked everyday. We honestly had a great time and definitely recommend it.
