Woodlands is abundant with wildlife and meandering country nature walks .
The well maintained landscape is a great attribute to Ron's Attention to detail and passion for country living , the homestead has that down south farmhouse charm that truly soothes the soul for deep rest , away from the hustle and bustle of the city ,
The fireplace is was on when our group arrived with plenty of firewood.
We were all excited to eat the fresh seasonal fruit that Ron had left for us !
The sunset and sunrise from the top of the valley is breathtaking, be prepared to share your fresh fruit with the birds and Kangaroo that are chasing the warmth of the sun in the morning up there .
The electric blankets are are welcoming touch in the winter months, the cold was definitely worth the view !
Can't wait to visit again

The peaceful bushland environment & my host was interesting and helpful. Beautiful lakes to walk around, lovely bowl of fresh fruit provided. Home had all amenities required.
A little maintenance required to the lounge ceiling, only because the booklet provided mentioned native animals nesting in the roof. I was a little concerned if something fell through the ceiling into the home.

The location is amazing, private and on a beautiful property. The wood fire kept us toasty warm with plenty of wood supplied and several radiator heaters were provided for extra heating. Cabins were cosy with the authentic country feel and with everything you need. Beds were comfortable with nice linen and each bed had an electric blanket. Ron was fantastic, very friendly and always responded to our enquiries.

A hidden beautiful spot in town of Balingup. It's a wonderful get away place full of native flowers trees and wildlife, loved the surroundings and great place to wonder around.
The cottage was beautifully clean, well looked after even though it was built in 1950's, we all loved the woodfire in the living room as well!
We were also welcomed by his freshly hand picked apples from the orchards.I would definitely come back for next time!!
Bed makes squeaking noises:-)

Ron is a very warm host. He is so kind and generous, showed us his farm, shared his knowledge about plants. Even let us pick apples from his farm. Loved his farm, loved his warmth, loved the location. Must visit, and my parents are already planning to visit again soon.

Location was excellent. Very secluded and quiet, close drive to the town but not necessary as the cottage was perfect for a quiet getaway. So many places to go bush walking and things to look at, my 3 year old loved putting his gum boots on and exploring the property. Cottages were clean, well looked after and everything we needed for a comfortable stay.
Nothing. Loved it.

The surroundings of the cottage were lovely
The mould in the bathroom, the crockery was dirty and had to be washed before use and a dust and removal of cobwebs won't go astray

Thank you for another lovely stay. The cottage has everything we need. Thank you for the beautiful fresh fruits too.
We had everything we need. Thank you.

Excellent location in beautiful bush setting and within minutes drive to Balingup. Approx 15min drive to Bridgetown and Donneybrook.
Proprietor Ron is a real gentleman.
You just have to accept that only rainwater and dam water available . No big issue but recommend take some bottled water.

A lovely cottage in a beautiful setting. Host was very friendly, informative and accommodating. Kitchen had everything you could ever need. Open fire was great in the cooler weather, easy to light and operate and the host topped up the wood and kindling supply daily! Bed comfortable with electric blankets. Verandah overlooked the farm with its lovely paddocks and pools for the marron farming!
Whilst a couple of km out of town this wasn't a problem for us as it added to the quiet and tranquility. The shower was a little hard to adjust but probably as to be expected off a pressure pump serving the water tanks. Couldn't get the BBQ to work (possibly an empty gas cylinder!) but no problem for us with such a well equipped kitchen.

Clean and comfortable accommodation, with everything you need and located off the highway so nice and quiet.
