A semi-detached holiday home on the banks of a river, offering a relaxing family retreat in a lovely part of Devon, with much to explore.. 1 step to entrance.

Bedroom 1: Double (4ft 6in) Bed
Bedroom 2: 2 x Single (3ft) Beds
Shower Room: Double Shower, Toilet. Gas central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Travel cot available on request. Welcome pack. Small enclosed courtyard with patio and garden furniture. Private parking for 2 cars. No smoking. . On the bank of the estuary beside the South West Coastal Path, Mariner’s Rest is the perfect choice for a family seaside holiday, or a relaxing couple’s escape at any time of year.
This waterfront house, situated next door to the owner’s home, is conveniently located just a short walk away from the pretty port town of Bideford, with its pastel coloured houses alongside a tree lined quay. There are stunning views across the River Torridge from the master bedroom and conservatory, and the sunny courtyard garden is an ideal place to sit and relax while you soak up the sights and sounds of the estuary. With so much to do on the doorstep you really can have a break from driving.
There is plenty to see and do with the famous Tarka Trail passing through Bideford for walking or cycling, or why not meander around the many delightful shops, pubs and restaurants that Bideford has to offer? With its regular pannier and water front markets, there is plenty to explore all within walking distance.
Take a boat trip to the nature reserve at Lundy Island or explore the many pretty fishing villages including nearby Clovelly and Appledore. Instow is just 3 miles away and is a pretty, unspoilt, seaside village with large stretches of dog friendly beaches and dunes, fishermen’s cottages, shops and a good selection of pubs and restaurants specializing in locally caught seafood. The wide sandy beach of Westward Ho! popular with surfers, is just 2 miles away with Saunton, Croyde and Woolacombe all close by.
There are numerous National Trust properties in the area including Arlington and Hartland Abbey, as well as the RHS gardens at Rosemoor and Docton Mill. Hartland Quay and lighthouse are well worth a visit and for family fun The Big Sheep and The Milky Way Adventure parks are close by. Golfing, riding, fishing, surfing, mountain boarding, karting and high ropes are available locally and the wild beauty of Dartmoor, Exmoor and Bodmin Moors are all within easy driving distance.
