Best hotel in Kathmandu! The accommodation is well located in a quiet zone. The hotel staff is extremely helpful, kind, and very much welcoming, always ready to assist you, generous and always available to offer help calling taxis, or giving great city recommendations or even ready to support you preparing short trips around. The facilities are cleaned and well preserved. The hotel has security at the entrance at all times. The restaurant conditions seem hygienic and up to high standards, and the food is tasty and good variety during the breakfasts. The hotel offered laundry service delivered the same day, which was very convenient. There is a small gym, but it has all you need for a short stay to keep fit. There is also a nice restaurant at the top floor with nice views to the city. As well, there is a cozy cafe at the entrance with great lunch options. I went on a business trip and used the wifi to work online from my room and also from the restaurant and cafe without any issues and always enjoying a strong internet connection. Overall I had an excellent experience at Basera Boutique Hotel, highly recommended!

Tutti i servizi top e massima cortesia. Oltre al pick up all'aeroporto mi hanno fatto accompagnare gratuitamente il mattino seguente alle 6 con il taxi alla stazione dei bus di Kathmandu e mi hanno fatto avere la colazione al sacco alle 5.45!
Nulla, solo la posizione è un po' defilata e senza attrattive nè locali ma tranquilla in una zona residenziale.

All the staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough for us, from the reception staff helping to book a day of sightseeing to the restaurant staff helping to recommend a fantastic dessert.
The room was great and on the 3rd floor, so not too much outside noise.
We loved the pool on the roof.

Reeta on reception sorted out an airport pickup with our tour guide as we were flying internally from Eastern Nepal.
Staff were extremely friendly and helpful for our return trip and wanted to hear about our Red Panda trek.
As before, nothing was too much trouble.
Plenty of food and breakfast was amazing.
Unfortunately due to all the rain between our two stays, they had to do some maintenance on the pool, so it wasn't available for our overnight stay on this occasion, which was understandable, but everything else was spot on.

At Basera, you'll find a inviting vibe and a breakfast spread that's seriously awesome with lots of vegetarian options as well, making mornings there an absolute delight! The staff was especially helpful and polite, which made the experience even more enjoyable.
The rooms could definitely use more space to accommodate families better.

Perfect stay in Kathmandu. The Hotel combines traditional Nepalese design with impeccable service and modern comforts. Delicious food and very attentive and kind services. Loved the dances and the music at dinner!
Well located in the centre and very close to the airport - the free pick up and drop off to it is a bonus.

Basera is a beautiful hotel located near restaurants and shops, not far from the airport. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful, and the room was lovely. Breakfast and dinner options are great and there is an amazing rooftop with a pool. We were delighted with our stay!

The hotel was a very calm environment and that was needed in the bustle and (wonderful) chaos of Kathmandu!
The staff were lovely, attentive and always at their top. I was alone and they made me feel comfortable - thank you Basera Boutique staff!!
Also I was so pleasantly surprised that all the rooms had universal plug sockets, no need for an adapter! I recognise it as definitely having US, EU and UK incorporated.
The food was also delicious in all the restaurants and restaurant staff were great. Especially the bar staff downstairs, they worked late nights and that deserves calling out.
Some days even though the cleaners were great, some things were left in my room such as open drinks - I think they thought I wasn't done with it but they were products that wouldn't be ok to consume after a while so it felt obvious they should go. This was not a huge problem at all, it is just the only thing I could comment on.

The breakfast buffet was diverse; the coffee was wonderful. I liked that there was a cafe next door to the hotel that they also operated - a good place to work on computer. There was a free cultural dance show in the evenings at 7 pm in the 7th floor restaurant also, near the pool. The reception helped me procure taxis and a driver for sightseeing.
My only suggestion for improvement was sometimes the hot water wasn't available early in the morning.

Exceptional staff and service. The property has a free airport pick up/drop off shuttle. Our flight to Nepal from Colombo was cancelled and we arrived a day later. The hotel manager adjusted our rate. Exceptional service.
The property only has queen size beds. We would have preferred a king bed.

Lovely hotel, very stylish, clean and quiet. All the things you would expect from a top 5* hotel anywhere else in the world.
The staff has however made our experience. The management is nice, friendly and attentive. We really enjoyed the Bansa restaurant. The food was good but the service blew us away. All the staff was excellent and helpful, but I must send special thanks to Surgam who served us everyday with utmost professionalism, very tirelessly and with unending smiles.
Another big special thanks goes to the performers of the traditional Nepalese dances, they were amazing and we kept looking forward to seeing them again!
If I’m going to nitpick, the swimming pool could use heating. The food could maybe be a little classier and tastier, but it was good overall - just not the most special thing.

Basera Boutique was a fantastic place to stay. We enjoyed every aspect of our stay there, from the welcome when we first arrive, to the rooms, to the very pleasant employees who helped us with what ever we needed. We would recommend it to anyone and everyone and will definitely stay there on our return to Kathmandu. Thank you Basera Boutique.

Instead of swans on the bed as in the photo of the room, we were greeted by a dead cockroach in the middle of the room.Every towel is dirty.Really dirty floor.Terrible view from the window.

The hotel was beyond our expectations - beautiful food, facilities and staff. We could not have been happier with our stay and would highly recommend the Basera Boutique Hotel to anyone looking to stay in Kathmandu.

The hotel was excellent in all aspects. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, from the reception staff offering great advice of places to visit and helping with any requests, to the hospitality staff always being attentive. Thamel and other city sights can be reached by taxi easily. The decor of the hotel is beautiful and the rooms are a great size. Breakfast was fantastic, with a large range offered. I can highly recommend staying here on your visit to Kathmandu, it offers a peaceful escape from the bustling city, I miss it already!

This place feels just like home :) It has a pleasant charming ambience, quiet, clean, very well maintained, beautiful in all details. My room was a palace and not a room, lovely and with everything you might need, bed was so comfortable! Also food is super good (try momos), both the buffet breakfast and the restaurants à la carte, the location is a bit far from the busy Thamel/Durbar square area, but easy to reach by motorbike/taxi and very quiet and silent. The staff are though the very gem, so kind, always smiling, and in particular Mr Uddav who helped me plan my next steps, accommodated any request, arranged late check-out and in no time introduced me to wonderful guides in both Kathmandu and Chitwan - which made my travels amazing. Thank you so much and see you next time for sure!

Das Hotel hat eine gratis Abholung vom vorangehenden Hotel sowie einen gratis Drop Off am Flughafen organisiert. Da ich schon sehr früh abgereist bin, war man so lieb und hat mir ein Frühstückspaket nach meinen Wünschen zusammengestellt. Das Hotel ist sehr nah am Flughafen, daher ist man schnell dort (ca. 15 Minuten). Das Personal war ausgenommen freundlich und zuvorkommend. Auch der Roomservice war toll, sowohl geschmacklich als auch was die Auswahl betrifft. Das Pool am Rooftop ist auch super.

The front desk staff were excellent. The spa was fantastic. And they have the best shower pressure I have ever experienced in any hotel around the world, including the many 5 star hotels I’ve stayed in. The breakfast and coffee shop were also excellent.
My experience in the 7th floor restaurant was less than desirable. The food was good but the staff were disorganized, unattentive and overwhelmed and the restaurant was only half full! I did enjoy the local dancers, it was really fun to watch them and experience this aspect of Nepalese culture.

I have nothing but good things to say about this property ! 5 star service all the way ! The staff is professional , courteous and go above and beyond the call of duty . I just finished an Everest Base camp trek ! It was. great place to recharge and relax
