Our family really enjoyed our trip and this property.
It’s a fantastic location and very close to many of the most popular spots.
Some minor things could use improvement like upgraded bedding and maybe a little cleaner, but would stay here again.
Thanks!

What a gem to find between the holidays! We had a great stay. Only suggestion would be to have some hooks for coats maybe? Beautiful country as always and saw lots of wildlife on this trip! Thanks for the great home away from home!

The location of this property is centrally located for Black Hills attractions. Our three generation group found the cabin spacious, comfortable, and furnished with everything we needed for our stay. The stunning mountain view, outdoor space for the kids to run about, and the hot tub made spending time outdoors very enjoyable. The large living space and bedrooms and baths allowed privacy and time to rest and regroup before the next day's adventures.
It was a "grand slam" vacation!

This was a great central location for the things we wanted to see in the Black Hills. Property is well maintained and loved the floor plan. We had a couple of small issues with the cabin and the Management answered our text immediately and took care of them right away. Would highly recommend this property.

We found was very centralized to all the places we wanted to visit so did not take us long to get to each area. The home was very comfortable. Very quiet to stay at. Very clean and was enough room for 6 adults to stay. Lots of kitchen appliances to be used. We all enjoyed our stay.

Home was clean and enough room for all of us. Nice movie selection and kitchen well stocked with dishes and other gadgets. Hot tub was clean and well maintained. Bring bug spray as there are some mosquitoes outside. AC worked well. Deer frequently seen in the morning or evening across the creek. Nice neighbors. Weather was comfortable enough to sit outside to read in the morning, and relax in the evenings under the covered porch area.

The cabin was the perfect place to stay if you don't want to be in the high-traffic area of Sturgis or Deadwood but want to experience the ride and the people. Hill City was fun and it was a nice ride to all surrounding towns, downtown Sturgis and even closer to Custer, Needles High Way and Mount Rushmore. The cabin itself was perfect for six people and parking was just right for bikes and a car. We would definitely stay here again.

Overall, it was nice. But the house does need some attention to maintenance. Never saw anyone even though we texted a service request.

Overall, it was a very comfortable place to stay. Several light bulbs out, drainage needs to be fixed, and not much space left to put our stuff. Just suggestions to make it a little more user friendly. Loved that it had a hot tub and very close to all the places we wanted to see. Quiet even though it was close to the highway.

Storm mountain #5 cottage is very comfortable and spacious. We loved having the hot tub for sitting early morning and evenings. It is a great location for us when trail riding. The Hill City area is great. We had super restaurant and shopping experiences. We made it to the Buffalo roundup at Custer State park. Thanks for making our stay unforgettable.

We loved the cabin! It was beautiful, and had everything that we needed. We were in walking distance of town, and still had a peaceful place to stay. I will definitely be back! I emailed the staff ahead of time to inform them of my son's Service Dog that would be with us. I told them of her medical necessity, and provided all the proper paperwork. They were amazing accommodating .

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Storm Mountain Cabin #5. The cabin is centrally located, it was clean, well equipped, and provided a great "home away from home" while on our trip. This was our third trip to the Black Hills area, two of those times we stayed at Storm Mountain Cabin. We would definitely recommend the cabin to anyone looking for "something that's just a little more" in lodging. The cabins give you options not afforded in hotels etc. If we ever go back, this is where we will stay. We had no problems working with the team members at Storm Mountain Cabins. Had a couple of problems but each was handled swiftly and to our satisfaction.

The cottage was great! It's exactly as shown in all photos. We've already recommended to family. The kitchen was very well equipped - We only ate out twice during our 6 day stay. All utensils and amenities were in great working order. The beds were very comfortable. The team was fantastic. All questions and inquiries were responded to in a reasonable time and everyone was very friendly.

My husband and I along with our two grandsons absolutely loved our cozy furnished cabin. It exceeded our expectations, in terms of comfort and amenities. The decor was inviting; the kitchen was handy. The location in Hill City, SD is perfect for taking in all the sights of the Black Hills. Nancy Richardson, Greeley CO Lee Ann McDonald was the only team member I e-mailed or talked to, and she answered all my questions and was very helpful. The booking personnel were also courteous and professional.

We've stayed at several other vacation rentals, and this cabin is on the top of our list of favorites! It was right by the highway, which at first concerned me because of the traffic noise, but that really wasn't an issue, and we LOVED the convenience - so easy to get anywhere in the area for sightseeing (Crazy Horse, 1880 train ride from Hill City to Keystone, Mount Rushmore, Custer State Park and Sylvan Lake, and even a day trip to see Wall Drug and the Badlands). The parking space was great, the one-level entrance and main floor bedroom/bathroom was great for the elderly in our party who needed handicap accessibility. The cabin was impeccably cleaned and we loved the rustic decor - but mostly we loved the simplicity so there was room for us to make it our own home for a few days. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed, the bathrooms had plenty of towels, and we even enjoyed some of the movies they had available. One of our favorite things was the washer and dryer - so nice to have! The hot tub was terrific, the bathrooms super spacious, and the beds all comfy. We enjoyed using the outdoor grill and having dinner on the patio. Our visit was amazing - we loved every bit of it and hope we can come back soon. My only request would be to add on 2 more bedrooms so we can bring more of our family with us next time! :) Thank you for the great service! I was in contact with both Lee Ann, our reservation/check in help, and with a member of the cleaning crew who stopped by to update the key code on the lock. Lee Ann was prompt to reply to my requests by email prior to our stay, and when I called her the day we checked in due to our code not working, she answered immediately and helped us get a new code. The cleaning team member stopped by to update the code and was very welcoming and kind. We had an issue with a drain clogging, and after we called Lee Ann, she sent someone to deal with it and it was taken care of while we were out sightseeing. Both folks were a delight to interact with and made our stay easy.

Great location and spacious cottage
I have always used VRBO and was always disappointed with how the property actually looked when we got there. This was not the case. It was very spacious and had everything we needed and forgot. We were very worried about our 2 year old sleeping but they had a pack n play, toys and even a high chair seat for her! Everything was easy to use and we had zero issues during our week long stay. The pictures don’t do the place justice in my opinion and the beds and pillows were very comfortable. It is also relatively close to all the main attractions and I couldn’t be happier with our experience.

Nice cabin
A good location and plenty of space for the two of us. It does sit close to the road, I could hear the cars in the early AM but I am an early riser. We never could figure out how to turn the lights on in the kitchen area :(. We didn’t use kitchen much. It did look to be well stocked with dishes, pots, pans etc. Nicely decorated and we did enjoy the hot tub outside.

Our family of 5 very much enjoyed staying at this cabin.
Our family of 5 very much enjoyed staying at this cabin. It was warm and inviting with beautiful views of the sunset. Close to all the attractions in the area. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we could have needed. Hot tub was amazing to use in the evenings. There is no air conditioning so it was a little warm in the afternoons, but cooled down overnight with open windows. Didn't have any issues so I didn't interact with the staff much except for check in.

Family friendly cabin
We enjoyed our stay in this cabin- the set up was very family friendly and was clean and accommodating. We were a little disappointed in how close the cabin was to the main highway and to the other cabins. More trees or privacy fencing would’ve been nice especially around the hot tub area. There was not central air conditioning but the small window air and fans kept it pretty comfortable during a very hot week in the hills.

Girls weekend
This property is very comfy, cozy. Kitchen stocked with every gadget you can think of. Bathrooms are huge, beds comfortable. Had an issue with the hot tub due to thunderstorms earlier on the day. Contacted the owner and they had maintenance out that very next morning. Would definitely stay here again.

Hill City is Great!
We loved the central location of this property, a fairly close drive to any of the main Black Hills sites! And, Hill City has a cute downtown! The condo was beautiful and very comfortable and spacious for my family of five. The kitchen was fully stocked. I would recommend that if you are arriving late on a cold night, that you ask the property manager to turn on the heat. We arrived and the condo was 51 degrees at 10pm. It took until the next morning to reach 70 degrees. That would be my only complaint.

Thank you for a wonderful stay in South Dakota! We loved the condo.
Thank you for a wonderful stay in South Dakota! We loved the condo. I would make a couple suggestions. The towels have a heavy mildew smell. I tried to wash them, but the smell remained, maybe it’s just time to replace them? Also, we arrived fairly late and found the house at 51 degrees inside. I would maybe recommend preheating the condo when guest are arriving? We loved the fully stoked kitchen, comfortable beds, and central location. The kids loved sleeping in the loft! Thanks again!
