Breakfast was at check-in area. Pastries, donuts, and there is a toaster. Coffee and very welcoming. Room was clean and bed was comfy! Only about 15 min from Mt. Rushmore.
Road noise is a bit loud. Wish there was a blind on the window in addition to the curtain to insulate and help keep out noise and light.

Central to all attractions, never having to drive very far to get to each activity.
Small shower, that’s all, everything else was top notch.

Very clean, beds comfy. Great coffee
Friendly owners.
Thought it was supposed to be more like a cabin. But it was more like a. Motel. No comfy chairs to sit in. Only a kitchen table and 2 chairs. Shower tiny.

Breakfast, continental. Location was great. Loved the deck and the grills. We utilized the fire pit and made s’mores.
No decaf coffee.😉

This was a great facility. The family that owns this property is great and very accommodating. Very down to earth and just good people. The world needs more people like them. The property was very clean and the pride of ownership is very evident.
The size of the bathroom and shower. Having a kitchenette, something had to give and the bathroom/shower was it. Very difficult to even move in the shower. Otherwise, there isn’t anything else that I could, or would even want to complain about. The other room had a full tub/shower and two queen beds so it has to be due to the kitchenette. If you don’t need two sinks, book the two queen room and you will be very happy here.

Cary and Melissa (owners) were so kind and welcoming! Rooms looked recently remodeled, lots of really nice homey touches. Plenty of towels, blankets, snacks, Keurig coffeemaker. Cozy fireplace-heater. Very comfy! Nice movable TV with DirecTV. Location was great.
Walls were a little thin (we mentioned this), the only other guests were right next to us and a tad noisy. Breakfast was pretty sparse, but we've had worse! Shower was small, but the bathroom as a whole was large.

it was so clean and beautifully decorated!! The beds were extremely comfortable and cozy!!
Honestly I would say that the check out is 10:30am BUT the gentleman let us stay until 1pm after I called and that was AMAZING!!!

Friendly and helpful owners. Nice and comfortable room. Great location to visit Mt. Rushmore and other Nationalparks.
Internet connection was not the best. Breakfast was always very sweet. The lodge is near the main street.

Room very well appointed. Fridge, microwave and coffee maker. Very neat and clean, staff helpful and very friendly. Morning coffee, pastries, juices were provided, all excellent. Very nice sitting area outside with fire pits and Weber grills for customers use.
Room was a bit small without a chair, but did not present any issues.

when I booked I asked please give me a quiet room because That is most important for me.no answer. The owner could have told me the hotel was right on a big noisy highway. The outside dining tables are perfect if you enjoy eating with the traffic music. At night you can still ear noise, less of course, but still, especially trucks. Then we were awakened twice very early (5.30 once)out of 3 nights by the noise of close guests, one night right, one night left .Then what was terrible was that late september was very cold some times and we had to choose between an out of age VERY noisy heater or being cold. We justcould not sleep with the noise. No heating in the bathroom either.I am sorry to stay it was a most unpleasant stay.
Noise, noise, noise and being cold in the room and shower. The owner could have answered honestly my prebooking request about having a quiet room.No breakfast room. You must grab the few poor items you can and take it back to your room But dont eat too much.It is written exactly " be responsible, everybody needs to eat " Mean remark, isnt it ?
I enjoyed very much all my 25 usa trip hotels.I am not hard to please but this one was terrible. The room was clean and nicely decorated,no problem but quiet and warm not at all

We stayed in a cabin and it was very clean and updated. The owners were super nice people and the location can't be beat.
The cabin was pretty tight for 5 people ages 14-62 even though they advertise room for 7. Swimming pool very small and not very secluded.

The location of the property was very convenient and picturesque. Close to all attractions and easy to find. Our room was ready upon arrival, was comfortable, and clean. It had all necessary amenities and a nice continental breakfast. We will definitely stay there again if we go back to the Black Hills.
Because the lodge is nestled in the mountains, the internet was slow-but certainly sufficient for our vacationing needs.

Family Owned Motel, we had a great stay and met some folks from our home state...

Very nice Lodge.
The owners are very friendly and the breakfast is small but suitable.
The highlight is the location. It is in the middle of every attraction. We highly recommend the Mountain View Inn!
It was a little bit pricey. But it was peak season.

I love the rustic Black Hill look! The room were decorated with wood accents right down to the towel racks. Melissa and Corey were great hosts. This is a new venture for them and I think they are off to a great start. I look forward to staying there again next Rally.
The WiFi was spotty. I know it is due to the location, in the wood. :). But other than than, everything was fine.

Location was excellent, outside patio was nice and the room was exceptionally clean and had wonderful towels, bedding and an awesome coffee bar. The room was decorated very well and air conditioner worked amazing! Room was cute and cozy, bed was very comfortable.
Didn’t clean room during our two day stay, didn’t give us fresh towels but we noticed other rooms did get clean towels each day left outside their roo
???? So we are not sure why we didn’t?? Towels were really thick and plush and didn’t dry between showers each day 😞
Room was extremely small, hard to move around and no place for luggage. 😞
