I loved everything about this property! The view was amazing and the house was very spacious. The family room over the garage was perfect. I will definitely recommend this property. I want to live there ❤️

We loved the location, the amenities, the cleanliness and overall quietness.
Our son and his high school band were one of 10 bands nationwide invited to play/compete at George Mason University before the US Army Band Concert. We thought it would be more accommodating to stay here instead of separate hotel rooms and we couldn't have asked for a better place. With our usual luck, the weather wasn't the greatest but we still had a great time. We all agreed we should return in the summer to really enjoy Lake Anna and the surrounding areas. Thank you for a great place!

The house was nice. Felt small but served its purpose. Maintenance came to fix the lights that fell due to weather. The lights fell and shattered in the yard. There was broken glass everywhere. When I reached out, I was told "no" and that maintenance picked it up. I found glass everyday the rest of the stay. It was dangerous and it wasn’t reassuring being told I’m wrong when I sent pictures of the glass.

The show stopper is the view of the lake the moment you enter the front door. The quiet location, large deck and jacuzzi made the visit very relaxing.

My family throughly enjoyed our long weekend stay. So many things to do just around the property. They had a list of anything you may have questions and had all the necessities in the kitchen.
To top things off they were super to work with when my daughter left her precious stuffie at the rental and she is now reunited with it.

Family and friends had a short getaway for a few days. I brought my kayak, but it was also nice the home provided two small kayaks so that everyone could enjoy being on the lake. Having a paved driveway down to the water was very helpful. At night we enjoyed the fire pit and hot tub. Everyone enjoyed the screened in porch where we ate, played cards and sitting enjoying the view. The home was clean and provided everything we needed. The dog also enjoyed lounging on the outdoor deck. The home was very private on the wooded lot, couldn’t even see any other homes through the trees. I would come back again.

Property description is deceiving. The 4th bedroom is in a detached building from the main home.

Location, outside area, loft above the garage, garage/play space, bathrooms, deck, all great spaces. Living room big enough, not enough couch space and chairs to hang out. WiFi/internet not dependable-local VRBO rep, had someone come out a few days later to upgrade. Leaving the worst for last- the kitchen. Others have already said the kitchen needs a gut job. It is from the ‘70’s, so are the pots/pans/utensils. Dishwasher, although newer, is not bolted to anything, so it slides out when trying to open it. Owners are probably updating as they go. Bathroom sinks and floors are new, showers are not. Although the dock is shared, neighbors and renters we met were nice. Cove is deep, great if you bring your boat.
Lots of flys and ants, in the kitchen, cabinets have a sticky smelly residue, from not cleaning them more than likely. If the kitchen was redone and extra seating was added in the living room, would consider renting again.

We stayed 3 nights at this wonderful rental, and it exceeded expectations. Older reviews are prior to it being purchased by current owners, and they have obviously made many improvements and added home amenities that really made our stay fun. View is beautiful, deck is large and right off main living room; it also has a gate on the stairs leading down to the fire pit and hot tub. Many board games, kayaks, water tubes, corn hole, darts - all great amenities to enhance your time on the lake. Screened in patio off the kitchen is awesome. Kitchen is decently equipped if you enjoy cooking (which we cooked every night we stayed here). Large dining room table that can comfortably seat 6-8. Received communication from a real person upon arrival to report any questions or concerns during our stay.

We enjoyed our long weekend at the house; it was inviting and very clean. The view was beautiful and the jacuzzi was wonderful. We would recommend this place and plan to go back at some point.

The good: great location, great water access and dock, hot tub, deck and nice rooms.
The bad: hardly anything to use in the kitchen (that you really need- lots of unnecessary extra utensils and cups)
Spare room in garage was not cleaned or made up. Linens were spread all over the eoom. We didnt know if they had been cleaned.
The heat was turned off so the inside of the house was 56 degrees when we arrived. Took several hours for it to warm up.
Wrong access code to get in and the spare keys were not in the lock box.
There was mold in the shower and shower doors.

Beautiful property right off the lake for a relaxing weekend

The star of this home is definitely the beautiful screened-in porch and the spacious deck. The home itself was clean and comfortable. We appreciated that there was a large enough dining table to accommodate everyone in our party (great for playing board games and sharing meals). The firepit is another highlight. The dock is not too far from the house and was easy to access and launch our kayak from. The only complaint was that the supplies were a bit spartan (i.e. we had trouble finding salt in the kitchen and extra rolls of toilet paper in the bathroom). Overall, we had a very pleasant stay and would be happy to go back.

Wonderful Thanksgiving weekend at lake

The house is in a great location in the northern part of the lake in a cove. The cove was perfect for kayaking and SUP out i to the lake. The kiddos enjoyed cannon balls off the boat deck. The view was fantastic, though the trees were a bit over grown to see the lake from the entire part of the deck. The house could use some electrical upgrades because every time we tried to plug in the electric grill it would trip the breaker, so no grill. We called vacasa and they said to use our own charcoal grill if we had one. The inside was clean and well stocked. Overall fantastic with the exception of the grill. We would go back!

We loved everything about this place! First, it is so much cozier than the pictures show. The furniture and bed was so comfortable. The view from the deck was peaceful and relaxing. It’s a short, convenient walk to the water, which we and our dogs loved! We cooked all our meals here, as we just wanted to get away from everything and spend some time pampering our pets. This spot has everything we were hoping for! Thank you for a perfect weekend.

Good Location
House was a good location on Lake Anna and convenient to grocery store. Our only complaint is the pots and pans were dirty and there was grease/food in the glass container in the pull out drawer of the oven.

Creepy and uncomfortable
Spiders covered the entire outside deck and front entrance and the mattresses were absolutely horrible. Left early because it was so bad.

Lake Anna Overlook
Arrived to a first floor bath broken toilet seat, which Vacasa supplied a new one the next day, but I installed. Cobwebs everywhere , small nat flies all over the stove , lower bath tub did not drain ( I cleaned it out - nasty). Really wonder how much the cleaning service really does. Path to the lake is overgrown, again cobwebs everywhere - we used the driveway for boat launch to get to dock. Beds are like cement - whole house could use some updating. Electric grill does not heat up enough to cook anything. The true plus is the nice view - with some landscaping view could be even better.

Good vacation home but could use some update.
Beautiful view. Wonderful deck and screened in porch. Kitchen was not very well equipped for silverware and dishes. Quiet neighborhood. All in all, a good place for a summer vacation.

Very Nice Place
The property is very much as pictured. The kitchen could use some better silverware and knives. We ended up buying a Bubba Charcoal Grill that we left for others to use because there is only a small electric grill outside that wasn't working during our stay. Overall, the location is great, the dock access is excellent as you will want to rent a boat or kayaks to get out on the lake which is beautiful. The screened in porch is really nice to be able to spread out or for a change of scenery from the deck.

4th of July Weekend
My family and I had a wonderful stay at The Overlook. Great house in a quiet neighborhood, check in/out process was very easy. The house is older, but no issues with anything. There is a short path down to a shared dock where we docked our boat for 2 days with easy access to the waterway. Screened in porch was very nice for the nights and the large deck has a great view of the lake. Would recommend !

Great getaway!
We used this lakefront house as a great mid-week getaway during an odd COVID Spring Break. The place was perfect for us to spread out, get work done and still enjoy the lake! Our pup loved the big deck and spacious backyard. We also LOVED the Lake Anna Winery nearby. Highly recommend!

Relaxing time for all
Our group of 7 gathered to celebrate a 50th birthday party. We had a very relaxing time. The view of the lake was fantastic and the house suited our needs for the most part.

Very nice property in a quite, secluded location. Boat ramp is right beside the house and includes a nice view of the lake and a fire pit. Would repeat

Outlook
The location of the property and the house itself was very nice. The only thing about the property that needs to be addressed as far as the house is the runner carpet coming in off the porch was nailed to the floor and was a trip hazard. There are issues with the neighbors that need to be addressed. The residence next door made it clear they did not like the rental property. They reported a false noise complaint and tried to say we were bothering them. While we tried to enjoy the porch they spoke in loud voices so that my family could hear that we were not welcome and needed to leave. When we did not leave we found our boat got sabotaged while it was docked over night. It was reported to the rental management and authorities. We then found out later on that there had been previous issues with this property.

Cute lake house!
Really sweet lake house just up the hill from the lake. We thought it was on the lake, but it does have great views of the inlet and a small dock area down the road for fishing and launching kayaks (bring your own). Nice we could bring our dog!

Clean. Boat ramp and boat dock included.
Clean old house. Has everything you may need. The grill is super small so I recommend not grilling. Boat ramp is very small and difficult to trailer large boats. Can be done though. I really did not like that VACASA managed the property. After booking through VRBO I never was able to reach the owner. Seems like a corporate process. You will need to call vacasa if u have questions and I did not like that they did not communicate through vrbo

Clean and functional
We would recommend this place. Very clean, well appointed, and comfortable. The kitchen utensils weren’t great, but as expected for a rental. We loved the porch, and that we were able to bring the dog.

Management come pant disappointing
But overall the visit was great. We called to ask a few pointed questions and the person we spoke with just read us the listing. All of the things we asked about were available yet they told us they weren’t. It was frustrating.

Great tucked away location on the lake!
This house was a perfect getaway for a long weekend. The house provided privacy while also being right on the water. We had rented a boat for the weekend and were able to dock it right on the dock at the house. Could not have asked for a better weekend.

Heaven at Lake Anna
Great location on the lake. Beautiful views. The decks are great for day and night use. There’s a nice size yard that we set up corn hole and the boys camped out in their tent. The fire pit is a nice touch. The inside is spacious and cozy. The kitchen is stocked to be able to cook. There are board games and the WiFi is very strong. I had to do work and my laptop had great connection. Don’t miss out on this Great Lake hime

Cute water views
We enjoyed our stay! It wasn’t the best view of the open lake and quite a walk downhill to swim but we definitely enjoyed the screened in porch, having somewhat of a view of water and fire pit! Recommend!!

Great service and Excellent experience
Last minute decision for a family weekend trip was made possible by the extremely easy booking process with a cleaned and ready house. Kids loved the house and all the games while the adults loved the water views from the deck.
