The location is superb and staff are brilliant, two comfortable beds in the room was a real bonus and parking right outside was also very good
Unfortunately the walls are paper thin, and we didn’t sleep well for two nights as the couple next door were too loud and having massive arguments. In the long term this does need to be resolved as it really impacted our stay, aside from the thin walls however the place is good. Wish we’d have asked for a room change

Very expensive and not really easy to find something affordable to eat in the area
Bad isolation between rooms - could here the clock alarm and conversation on the phone

Location! View of Yosemite falls
Carrying up your luggage to 2nd floor(but I asked for 2nd floor)

Very good front office staff. Cafeteria was easy and convenient.
Restaurant was over priced for the quality of food. The property is rundown. Stairs appeared unsafe and need to be replaced. Garbage, junk stored in front of pool. Horrible visual for the property. Need to be upgraded for the nightly price tone what it is.

El Hotel queda dentro del parque en un excelente lugar para poder recorrerlo y hacer trekking. Está bien equipado, con lugares para comer, piscina, gift shop y hasta tiene su propio Starbucks. La vista es impresionante.

-Location is mind blowing
- cafeteria was fun
-Starbucks staff were friendly
-we were harrassed, threatened and abused by front of house which is illegal in California

No wifi during our stay

Excellent location and cozy environment
outdated rooms

Location was fantastic.
No wifi in the rooms in 2023 is not good enough at this price point. The wifi at reception is so bad I spent 2 hours trying to book a hotel for our next stop. The ground maintenance and lighting is poor and makes moving between the rooms and the restaurants and lounge at night difficult. In fact, with ice not removed from some paths and carpark it was even dangerous. We left with the impression that the Yosemite Valley Lodge has so much business that it doesn't have to deliver on these things. We had a good time because of the hiking and scenery and our experiences in the Lounge were good.

I didn’t had the chance to visit the property due to weather conditions. I contacted the reception and manager of the lodge, trying to get help and get a partial refund (not completely, as I know there is a policy) but:
1. Communication with the Lodge is super difficult.
2. The manager was helpless.
3. The manager cares more about the business rather than the customers and their concerns. (He didn’t understand we are the business)
4. Unexpected situations like weather are not important for the hotel. So be careful when you book it.

The location is great
It’s old. The fridge is not cold enough, and there’s no wifi in the room.
3.8
Very good location in the middle of the park.
Hard to get from the parking lot to the room with the suitcases, especially when it's snowy.
If you are arriving at night I would reccomend staying outside the park because the driving inside the park is rough, long and you miss all the nice view.

the room everything good
food was bad

It was in a great location because it was right in Yosemite and so many close hiking trails. They had good food options like restaurants in the lodge. Easy check in and out.
No wifi or service. No microwave in the room. No actual heater they just provide a small plug in one. Food places close around 9 which is fine if we had a microwave. The pillows were uncomfortable but do offer more blankets at front desk.
3.8
Excellent location to just step out the door and hike!
3.8
great location.
food was very disappointing. when paying that much for a premium destination, the meals should be on par.
3.8
the location is literally the only thing good about this place!
our lodge was dirty, holes in towels, dust on fan heaters. 1 old blanket on the bed. Smelt damp & unkept, shower leaked. patio filthy!!! No options on food. Chips, Burger, Cheeseburger or Hot Dog……..Cooks just threw food into boxes to hurry up. Nothing open!

the room was very clean and location was beautiful. we lucked out by getting a room with a view of the Yosemite falls amd half dome. it was quiet and accessible to the restaurants and front desk within an easy walk.
The check in time was 5:00 pm. Luckily we got into our room a bit early but it does take time away from enjoying the room and a bit of phone tag when you pre check in and then have to go back to get keys. Also with check out at 10 that seems a bit short on time compared to other places.

Room No WiFi
3.8
The location is amazing as you are inside the park and close to many of the major hikes and attractions. Yosemite falls are visible from the lodge.
The check out time is at 10:00 which is too early.

location
Buildings need updating as well as interior decor and windows. Beds need replacing. A general clean and modern refit would make it spectacular.

It was a pleasant stay. The scenery was stunning.
