Place is well kept! Very clean and had everything we needed. My daughter was participating in a creative strings camp so the family came down. If I had one thing to say is that a rooster nearby needs to get an alarm clock! Can only hear it when you go out!

Loved the house especially the master bedroom and the layout. Great back patio surrounded by trees. Warning: don’t run the dishwasher and expect to take showers afterwards. You will run out of water. Lots of cute very helpful little signs. I would highly recommend this house.

My husband and I met our long time friends in Black Mountain. Our husbands were each others best man 38 years ago! What a great place to reminise and catch up with one another.
The home was beautiful and they have thought of everything you need.
The town had beautiful sites and great places to shop and eat dinner.
We visited Mount Mitchell and Chimney Rock State Park.. Thank you for such a great home to stay in during our great mini vacation together!

We visit Black Mountain several times a year. We absolutely love this place! Every little details has been thought through to make the guests feel at home. The layout of the house was perfect for us and oh, so clean! The location was perfect to everywhere we wanted to visit. We'll def be using this home again.

Wonderful home for a getaway outside of Asheville

Overall the house is very nice and comfortable. We were disappointed in the 3rd "bedroom" which was not accurately described. It had a VERY small padded bench that converted to a bed. The description called it a futon, but that really doesn't describe it. Actually, this room is listed twice as a "fun room" and a "3rd bedroom" with them actually being the same room.

We came to Black Mountain for some rest, relaxation, hikes, as well as to look at retirement/investment properties. We could not have asked for a better place to stay.
Had everything we needed. Two of us had to work remotely a little bit, the extra room and nice desk in the master proved to be a nice added surprise. Came in very handy.
Kitchen was well appointed( I was a chef for years, had everything we needed).
Well written instructions on how to use everything.
Location was ideal!
We will rent again when coming back to area as we near purchasing in area.
Thanks,
The Kelley and Smiths

We live an hour away and wanted to visit Black Mountain. Being former VRBO hosts, we found this home to be very well appointed, accommodating and smartly decorated. We just might be back!

Went with two girlfriends. Beautiful home, exquisitely appointed. They thought of everything, we lacked for nothing. Sitting on deck in the trees with the fire pit going...divine. Great restaurants in the area. Definitely will be returning.

My family of four wanted to spend time together just relaxing and exploring the area. This property was a wonderful place to rest and relax! We spent time on the deck during the evenings sitting around the fire pit and during the day enjoying the sunshine. The chess board in one of the rooms was an extra bonus as my boys spent time competing against one another! We will definitely stay here again!

Excellent location. Had all the amenities. Older home with charm.

Had ants in kitchen on counter/ bar area. Electric socket in living room and guest bedroom by laundry room came out of wall this could cause a fire. Pillows on bed need to be replaced. Mattresses on both bed are doing the cradle, sunk in the middle.

Awesome house, location is awesome and the host are great

Beautiful home in Black Mountain! Was a short ride to Ashville, Linville Caverns & Waterfalls, Grandfather Mountain and Chimney Rock! Beautiful views as we rode the area. We arrived on Motorcycles and it was so nice to have a lot of amenities for the week considering we were short on space for groceries. Home was very clean and firepit and chairs with cushions (cushions were clean and comfortable) were used every evening! Definitely would recommend and stay again in the future.

We couldnt be more happy with our stay at this property! Everything was better than pictured. The location was absolutely perfect - far enough from town and other houses to feel secluded yet still close enough to have all the amenities so close! The view from the master bedroom was just like being in a treehouse. The owners were very responsive and very accommodating. I WILL be back! Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Very well equipped - crockery- linens etc

We loved this wonderful place. It was really close to town and grocery stores, private, and very clean. We plan to be back. Just know the third bedroom is a fold-out. My 2 staff members and I all wanted a separate bedroom and bathroom. We made it work.
Overall, a really nice and clean place and a very nice hostess.

This home was the perfect place to spend a weekend in Black Mountain! The home was clean and comfortable. You can tell the owners love the home and the little touches made it feel like visiting a friend. Love the live plants, homey kitchen, and the spacious master bedroom! The rain ruined our fire pit plans both nights, but we still enjoyed the stay! Highly recommended!

Over two dozen times I have stayed at a VRBO, I receive a check in info email on the VRBO site messages with the entry code instructions the day of our arrival. I never received either, so an hour before our scheduled time I emailed the property manager on the VRBO website about the code with no response. I still have not heard back via email. We arrived at 4 pm , the check in time , and could not get in. I called VRBO customer service and was on hold for 25 minutes while they tried to contact the property manager. I got disconnected, so I sent an email via Gmail directly to the property manager about how we were stranded outside with my elderly mother in the dark , it was getting really cold out there. Still no response. I called the VRBO customer service AGAIN and was put on hold while they tried to call the property manager unsuccessfully. It was super stressful and frustrating to say the least. I waited a while longer and called customer service back and they said I should have received a check in email with instructions , I NEVER DID & had been checking every possible email frantically. They eventually said there's nothing they could do, and for me to try calling directly one more time. My prayers were answered when she answered and I finally got the code to get in the rental. I was almost in tears at that point because we thought we would have to try and find other accommodations or cancel our trip to the Biltmore and lose even more money. We got in and the house was beautiful and super clean. They really need to improve the check in process and the point of contact , they are impossible to reach. We accidently locked ourselves out the second day which was our fault for locking the dead bolt. After walking the steps of the Biltmore for eight hours we were stranded on the porch AGAIN. I did not bother calling the VRBO customer service number because I spent two hours on the phone with them the previous day to no avail. I called the property manager at 7:07 and no answer, so I left a message. She never called back and it was freezing out and we were all exhausted. Didn't we do this yesterday? So, I waited 30 minutes and called back again and finally a person answered to let us know how to get in and we were so relieved cause I did not think we would be able to get in touch with anyone. She texted this am asking why haven't we left yet at 11am WHEN WE DEPARTED AT 10 am SHARP. Now you are replying to me ? Where was this energy at check in?????

Clean, quiet, every detail was provided for comfort. Wonderful soaps, fluffly towels, great lighting, security very tight. I particularly loved the deck and fire pit, listening to the birds. I would have liked a little more instruction on getting the local tv channels and the movie channels, though tv was not my main focus. I also would have liked a few more selections of cds for the stereo to match the peaceful surroundings. And Black Mountain is a really lovely town with several good restaurants and shops. Perhaps a listing of those could be provided in the notebook. It was fun reading about the acquisition of the furnishings and especially the description of the meaning of "the longing to be" or "home away from home" in that space called Ty Hireath. I loved my time there and hope to return again. It was perfect for a much needed solo retreat. Thank you!

An Enchanting Stay
My best friend and I wanted to be close to Asheville without being in town, and seeing this space online brought us to agree on Black Mountain. What a lovely town! Ty Hireath exactly as described, and more. The house is nestled in the trees with plenty of outdoor space to watch the sun go down and listen to the bird calls. The gong at the entrance was a highlight! The inside is cozy and inviting, the kitchen is very well stocked with kitchenwares for cooking any kind of meal. Our hostess got right back to me when we accidentally locked ourselves out, oops! We loved to read the story of how this place came together, it's in the binder thoughtfully organized with things to know about the house and area. We loved our visit, and hope to come back again!
