Read all the “old” reviews before booking this house.
It is not listed with all details correctly.
Says they have air conditioning, but this house has zero air conditioning.
Their answer was for my entire family to sleep in a one bedroom downstairs with fans. The most miserable night after driving 10 hours to arrive to a rental that was a complete sauna. Zero help from the management company.
This house should not be allowed to be rented with false advertisement.
Warning to anyone thinking of renting this house it is very hot without AC.
This seems to be an on going issue as previous renters stated. I had no idea the air conditioning was not working.
You will waste time trying to get answers and a solution while on vacation.

Such a wonderful mountain house…especially for a group of long-time friends celebrating 75 years!!
It was very comfortable and cozy and had everything you would need for a family…down to a great book selection!
I would definitely come back to this property.
We loved Black Mtn. and enjoyed shopping and eating our way through the town!

This house felt like we were at our own home. We were very comfortable and the neighborhood was excellent. Everything is newer and updated. I would recommend staying here and we lol forward to being back.

This home was modern with good WiFi. We had grandkids so the trundle beds, toys and the fenced in backyard was wonderful There was even a little table out back for the kids. The great room was spacious and the outdoor seating was nice. The house is at the end of a quiet road and the kids spotted a bear. We enjoyed our time here!

Good property for a large group. Needed to be cleaned better, many ants in living area, and the central A/C was inoperable and replacement portable units were inadequate on hot days.

Nice place
Enjoyed our stay at the property. The AC situation is not real good. During stay the temps only got to around 80 so wasn’t too bad. I would not stay here in summer as the home has an odd AC setup (individual room units). We never really could get to work and I suspect even if they do it doesn’t cool all that well. There are several window units scattered throughout the home. If I had been here in summer heat and had to use the portable units would probably just have checked out.
Home is nice and neighborhood is great.

No Air, No dishwasher, Poor Management
Everything was clean and nice on arrival. We couldn't get the air to work (mini-split system). We thought it just needed more trouble-shooting. After spending two hours trying to get it work we opened the windows. Called the next morning at 7:30 am, no response by 12:00, so I texted, they acknowlegded my text at 12:22. But had not heard about any resolution at 2:26 so I called. Jackie said they would call me. Nothing by 3:44 so I texted again. They acknowledged my text at 3:51. Then at 3:58 they texted they would call me. I received a call at 5:00 saying they were bringing portable a/c units. We left for the evening and they were there when we returned. But they were poorly installed and kept popping out of the unit. We finally tired of dealing with them and opened the windows. Additionally, the dishwasher was broken. Which I know they knew about ahead of time. I am not sure if they knew about the a/c but one of the people I talked to mentioned that a part was on order so I suspect they were aware of this issue ahead of time. I am not happy about having to spend so much time with maintenance and trouble shooting while on vacation. We will not be staying here again or at any property managed by Vacasa. Which is too bad because it is a really nice house and location.

Great house
Had a nice stay over a long weekend with my family. Close enough to Asheville, about 20 minutes. The house was beautiful and new. Only problem we had was with the AC. The system kept shutting off and was very complicated to figure out. Glad it was spring and not mid summer.

Red Rockers Cottage April 2022
Great house and stay. Very well equipped and maintained. Plenty of room for the four of us. We rate the home as a 5 but there is room for improvement. The AC units require a little more instruction other than on-line/app instructions, but being Spring, the temperature was fine. The bed mattresses need to be upgraded. This is for all the rooms and all beds. This was a downer but overall the house was a five star.

Very clean, comfortable house
Clean and comfortable. Spacious rooms. Attractive furniture and decor. High ceilings. A minor adjustment with the heat on a very cold night was quickly resolved. Good service. Red rockers are indeed on the front porch. Convenient location.

Pleasant Stay, Great Location
Cozy 2 story cabin style home with updated amenities. No need to bring your PacknPlay or Booster chair because they have them on site.
The only issue we had is not the fault of the property owner. The split systems used to heat/cool the home are a little confusing. I would recommend looking up the video on how to work them when you get there. If its winter I recommend NOT turning the downstairs units above 68 degrees because it will COOK whoever is staying upstairs. Its a common problem in 2 story homes.
Again, this is not the property owners fault and its not a complaint, I just want to give a heads up to the next party staying there so they don't cook themselves the first night like we did.
The home is wonderful, and in a great location just a mile from Montreat and only 400 yards from a local food store. There is a nice fenced in outdoor area for kids to play. Lots of parking for visitors. Definitely a 5 star experience. The price is great too!

It was a very good month. A few issues need to be addressed: key code for front door, hvac clear instructions, tv-it took two house calls to get tv functional. I think these things will be easily addressed and not a problem for future guests. The front porch was enjoyed daily.

Wonderful fall getaway
Enjoyed time with family, relaxing, driving around west NC, shopping in Black Mt. , Brevard and Highlands. The last week of October was the most colorful.
We had several issues with the rental property: tv needed to be reprogrammed-took 2 different house calls to correct, trouble with front look-had to call twice to reset code, heat and air was a challenge.
Good news: help was a phone call away and several hours away.
I think we were among the first to rent and hope these issues are worked out for next renters.

Great house
Everything was very easy, from check in to check out. The location was great and the house had everything you’d need. Very quiet neighborhood too. Although make sure you have a Roku account if you plan to watch movies or TV. But if you’re like us and spend most of your time outside, there was no need.

We had a great time hiking and leveraging the house location and the value of the modern house and how it was furnished. This is our second stay this year in the house and were a little disappointed in our experience of a shortage/lack of enough dish washing soap, no extra garbage bags and no extra toilet paper rolls in the bathroom cabinets. This review was submitted while the home was managed by a different property management company.

It's a great property. Fenced in backyard was a plus for young kids. Wonderfully furnished. Everything was brand new. Great location, complete privacy. The only drawback was the master bedroom A/C didn't seem to work (or we couldn't figure it out) but the weather was so comfortable we never needed to bother the property manager about it. The rest of the house A/C worked fine so it was a very comfortable stay regardless.

Property it’s self great. No problems 1 minute drive from DT New and clean Only problem and it wasn’t really a problem it’s built right next to an older house their porch looos right at you. It’s just odd but it’s fine. I don’t live there only there for 2 nights so who cares Place is easy and nice. Beds are a 7 also. Creeky when move. Close and easy to black mountain

The place is very new, and was immaculate. The location is centrally located to get to downtown Black Mountain, Montreat, and Lake Tomahawk and is near the end of a cul de sac, so it's very quiet. I would definitely recommend staying here, and TurnKey provided great service! The area is great for hiking, local food, and nearby Asheville has a great music scene.

Cute, convenient, clean & comfortable
Our family of four stayed at this sweet house for one week. It was very clean with some minor exceptions, but overall sparkling. The house is fairly new so all linens/towels were fresh and new. The beds were fairly comfortable. I will add that the primary/downstairs bed could use an adjustment as it’s VERY loud to sleep in. Each time we would roll over it would wake the other person up. We did manage to place a towel behind the bed which helped. I noticed other reviewers did mention this and I thought the owners would’ve attended to it by the time of our stay, but sadly it was still loud. It seems it would be an easy fix. I wouldn’t let this deter your stay just know you may have to place a pillow or towel behind the headboard to get good sleep. The house is located within walking distance to Black Mt. There are sidewalks to town. The house is on a pretty tree-lined, quiet dead-end street. The house has a cute front porch and a picnic table in the back which we used once for lunch. It seems the back yard space is underutilized. It would’ve been nice if there were comfortable seating for everyone. There is a swing that our teenage daughters sat on a few times. Seating inside was adequate for watching tv or having a meal. The bathrooms were all nice with great water pressure. The biggest complaint overall would be the internet. We had no WIFI connection the entire week. The description stated wifi is available in the house but we had zero, not one time was I able to connect as it just seemed the signal was too weak. Overall, we would stay here again. It was clean, new, and comfortable.

New and clean house in a quite location
The house is new, neat and clean. All working well and in order. There is plenty of space for at least 6 people, and few car parking space. The house is located in a great location, few minutes from the center of Black Mountain ad it is surrounded by trees and other house at a proper is a perfect house for a vacation in the Asheville area. The only minor issue we faced was the wireless connection for which we were given wrong instruction. However the management company worked on Sunday to provide the information and resolve the issue.
