Great property for our two families for a ski weekend. Good spaces to spread out in, lots of seating. The views are awesome and the distance to Beech is less than 2 miles - and you get to see deer along the way if you’re lucky! The kitchen is tight but well stocked.
The master bedroom’s shower was slow to drain so that probably needs to be checked on but everything was well maintained and clean and we thoroughly enjoyed our time there. Decorations for Christmas added to the adorable decor and holiday vibe. And, if you need any provisions, Fred’s Mercantile had it and was less than 3 miles away. Would definitely rent out again!

October leaves
We loved this property!!
The view was incredible and better than any we’ve had before. The two sliders leading to the back deck were perfect to leave open and just enjoy the fall weather.
The layout is great for a larger group. We only had our family of 4, so we only needed two of the bedrooms. The other three were well appointed and would be perfect for a group. Parking was adequate. The kitchen had everything we needed to properly prepare any meals.
We will definitely be back!!

We had a great time at this property. Our trip was in the beginning of October so the weather was beautiful and had no trouble getting there. It is on a long gravel road so may be difficult in the snow. The house was clean and just as pictured. Porch and view was definitely a highlight of the trip. We did the Emerald Outback loop which was about 15 min drive and went to Beech Mtn brewery after which had a great outdoor patio. Only things I might suggest bringing is more trash bags and dishwasher liquid/pods as the Food Lion is 30 mins away. Also they have salt and pepper but if you are going to be doing a lot of cooking I would suggest some spices/essentials. Overall a really great stay, wish we could have stayed longer!

Inside the house it’s lovely and clean but renters need to be warned of several things. The gravel roads up the mountain on hairpin turns are horrible. Just saying that 4 wheel drive is necessary in winter isn’t enough to warn you about not bringing a nice vehicle. But worst of all is the tiny parking area that has no guard rail or fence and one misstep while unloading your car means falling down a cliff to your death or severe injury. We have a 4 year old and baby and after seeing this horrible drop we didn’t even bother unpacking and left to stay in a hotel in town. This place is completely unsafe for curious young children and the description of this house should recommend not to bring kids and that it’s a lot of gravel roads to reach the location. I would never have booked this if those hugely important details had been truthfully mentioned.

So the house is a bit off the beaten path from the main section of Beech, but it was worth it. Beautiful accomodations, well appointed and not lacking anything. Unfortunately for us, mother nature didn't let us see the beautiful view this property offers until we were leaving. But it's stunning. Our family enjoyed or little vacation immensely.
