About this cabin rental
High Country Hideaway is a great escape for friends or a family looking to hightail it out of the city for a fabulous 'hideaway' from the hustle and bustle.
With an open plan and vaulted ceilings, High Country Hideaway's warm tones and decor provides a homey atmosphere. Several pieces of furniture were handmade by the original owner from wood off of the land it was built on, giving the cabin that authentic rustic feel.
Located at the top of a ridge, this roomy cabin overlooks Blue Ridge on the west side. You'll naturally be drawn outdoors by the spacious wraparound decks offering incredible year-round views. Settle into a glider, rocker or lounger for front row seats to stunning sunrises and sunsets over the mountains. Dog lovers - you're in luck! The gated decks will be the perfect spot for your dog to enjoy the outdoors without wandering off.
The fully equipped gourmet kitchen is sure to make a chef swoon. Enjoy the high life and arrange for one to prepare a special meal for you and your guests, or have a laidback barbecue outdoors at the picnic table.
Kids of all ages will want to 'hideaway' downstairs — the game room has everything they need to have a ball, from ping pong to a billiards table, games table and board games, cards, and books. It's a snap to grab a snack and drink from the bar area, which includes a refrigerator and sink. They can even crash on the queen sleeper sofa in there. Watch out — they may have so much fun downstairs you might not see them the entire time!
With easy access to town and activities, it's a breeze to explore the area. Hit the hiking trails right outside your door. Water lovers can spend the day fishing, swimming or boating at Lake Blue Ridge, or canoeing, kayaking or tubing the Toccoa. For some leisurely fun, do a bit of shopping downtown, go antiquing or wine tasting, take a historical tour or catch the local festival or performance in town.
Even on cooler evenings, you can still stay cozy outdoors. Unwind in the hot tub after your fun-filled day, or grab a nightcap and head to the separate lower deck to relax near the outdoor fireplace while constellations twinkle high above you.
Ready for lights out? Snuggle into the master bedroom's beautiful timber bed to watch some TV, or catch some z's in one of the guest bedrooms under charming patchwork quilts.
No matter how you spend your time, High Country Hideaway is tailor made for resting, relaxing and rejuvenating, leaving everyone in high spirits. With great views, a great location close to town, and everything you and your guests need to make the most of your stay, you'll put this cabin 'high' on your list of ultimate hideaways.

We had a fabulous time! The cabin is quite large, yet made to feel comfortable and homey. It was spotlesslessly clean and very well maintained. The view of the mountains from the deck was lovely--we spent a great deal of time out there enjoying it. We took our two dogs, a chocolate lab and an Australian shepherd, with us. It was easy walking them along the road outside the cabin, and we even found a path in the woods that ran parallel to the road, which they both enjoyed. Blue Ridge Escapes made the reservation and check-in process a breeze. The town of Blue Ridge was delightful. We definitely plan to go back!

We enjoyed our stay here, the view from the back porch was amazing, you would never know that you were so close to town. The downstairs playroom was great. The place was very clean, you would never know it was a pet friendly cabin.

Overall it is great for families. Hot tub and kitchen utensils needs to be updated. It was very dusty.

This cabin was spacious, private and had a beautiful view. It was located close enough to run into town within minutes for shopping. My family had nothing but good things to say about this property. We would definitely love to stay again in the future!

I would book this place again in a heartbeat. It was worth every penny and my family had the most wonderful time. If your on the fence, book it! You won’t regret it.

My wife and I have stayed at over a dozen chalets in various states, but this was our favorite, by far. The amenities were beautiful, and we had every possible necessity upon arrival. The pool/ping pong table got a lot of use, as did the outdoor fireplace and hot tub. Everything was perfect! There was a problem with the gas ignitor in the living room fireplace, but it was repaired while we enjoyed the cabin. The sunrises at this place were EPIC! Highly recommend for family getaways or for a romantic weekend. Lots of privacy, easy access, and close to stores and downtown Blue Ridge. We are definitely coming back! (the drive beside the beautiful Ocoee River was another selling point for anyone traveling to and from middle TN to this place)

This home has wonderful porches with mountain view and only short 10 minutes in to the town area of Blue Ridge, would stay here again! We had a nice Welcome box of goodies and extra paper products, dish tabs, garbage bags which was extra special! The property manager Escape to Blue Ridge was exceptional with good communication!

Great clean place

Very clean. Private. Convenient location to everything.
Escape to Blue Ridge property management was A+.
House could use updates to leaky loose shower/tub faucets but not a deal breaker.

Amazing family vacation
We have a family of 8 - 6 adults and two teenagers (15 and 17). The property description was just as described. We had plenty of space for all of us and could have fit two more people easily. The view was beautiful from both patio levels. It was a quiet and relaxing location. While the drive to the house was a little steep, it was no problem for the three vehicles we brought (GMC Sierra, Lexus and Toyota Camry). We were so close to downtown and any store we needed to get to. The fireplace outside was wonderful, even on a warm evening. The rental company was amazing and easy to communicate with. We were missing our ping pong paddles and they went out and got us some as soon as they realized we were without them. They explained how to work everything in the cabin when we had questions. My family loved the pool table, ping pong table, games and hot tub. It was a wonderful family vacation. I highly recommend this cabin. We miss it already!!! Stay here if you can. You won't be disappointed.

Amazing Family Weekend
Despite some windy, foggy, rainy weather, our family had an amazing weekend and this cabin. Tastefully decorated for the holidays, kitchen had everything we needed (and more). Ping pong and pool table were awesome and the hot tub hit the spot! We look forward to renting this cabin again.

Amazing Porch and View!
Our family had a great week in Blue Ridge. The house was comfortable and has the best view of the sunrise! We made some great memories with our 2 little girls (3 and 1) on that porch! We did have to request a baby gate for the stairs which was no problem at all. The property manager delivered one within an hour or 2. The cabin was spacious and clean- I only gave it a 4 for cleanliness because the furnishings are old and dated; however for their age, they are clean and kept up. Most importantly, the beds were clean and comfortable! The drive to the house is steep but that's worth it for the view. It's a quick drive to town for groceries and restaurants so very conveniently located.

Not enough time
We absolutely loved the cabin and it’s beautiful views. We just wish we could have had more time, especially on that porch. We will definitely want to come back.

Awesome relaxing property
The house was great, it was clean and the beds were very comfortable. The view was incredible - it was so relaxing to sit with a cup of coffee (and wine at night) and just BE. Our only issue we had was that we didn't have TV service on a couple of the TVs. Someone came out and determined that the DISH card had been removed, but we never heard back from them with a solution (or that they were unable to fix it by the time we left)

2021 July family vacation
Found this property on vrbo..first time going to Blue Ridge. House is roomy and had a great mountain view. Very peaceful. Had 10 in our group ages 11 to 84. Steps were a bit much for the 84 year old and two showers for 10 people takes coordinating. Close to a lot of neat adventures but cabin days are just as fun. Would definitely go back

Family Getaway
Our kiddos are all adults now, so extended time together is rare. We thoroughly enjoyed our mountain getaway. The cabin met our needs perfectly, providing multi-level decks with incredible views, a huge well-stocked game room, plus comfortable sleeping accommodations. There’s plenty of privacy yet we were close to both downtown Blue Ridge and outdoor trails and water activities. We loved it!
