This hotel is truly exceptional! From the moment we arrived, George, the best host ever, made us feel right at home with his warm welcome and exceptional care. The entire staff was incredibly attentive and hospitable, making our stay unforgettable.
The rooms and the infinity pool were absolutely beautiful, with stunning views that took our breath away every morning. The food was super delicious, offering a wide variety of mouthwatering dishes for breakfast and dinner.
This place is a must-visit for anyone looking for a perfect getaway. Highly recommended!

Very nice location, best comfort, but... we have been with one more couple the only guests. Sad new years evening
Although declared while booking via email there was no live music on new years eve and although promissed the evening before no breakfast for us the next morning because the kitchen was closed.

Jorge is the heart of the place, who'll take care of you, pamper you, recommend things to do, tell you about the country, show you animals around the hotel and make you some great margaritas.
The hotel is very modern with amazing views.
The road to the hotel is steep and not very good (as for many boutique hotels with views in the area). AWD strongly recommended. If you're a skilled driver it's no problem though.

Everyone was extremely helpful and I would like to say a massive thank you to Jorge and his excellent hospitality

WOW WOW WOW what can i say, we could not believe our eyes when we arrived the view was out of this world unbelievable. The staff were very attentive and always asked if we needed anything. The infinity pool is amazing and the view while you are having a swim well i had to keep pinching myself. The food was superb myself being a vegetarian can be difficult going away but here they went above and beyond to satisfy my needs without any fuss. They had so many Toucans flying around you it was beautiful to see nature at its best, we stayed for 3 nights which i think was just enough as its high up and away from anything and yes you definitely need a 4 wheel drive to get to this amazing hotel. If you are travelling through Costa Rica you must stop here just to experience this fabulous place.
Nothing much really but they could have done with a small fork to go with the spoon as you will just keep chasing your desert around the plate all night. Also having the times that they serve breakfast, lunch and dinner in the bedroom would be great. Trivial really!

Beautiful location and kind staff
This is a very small place and really doesn't work as a hotel at all. It's the size of a single villa and doesn't work for multiple guests at all. It's like booking a remote villa with another family you've never met and hoping you'll get on- just not worth the risk and makes it not relaxing at all
If booked as a whole for a single group or multiple generations of the same family it would be brilliant

The fact that you need to go through a high hill

What a magical place. We went before Easter so it was quiet but in any case it is a small hotel so I don't think it can get very busy. From all the places we stayed in Costa Rica this was the BEST. The views and the set up was breathtaking.
Roads to get there not the best but I guess that's the price to pay to be in such a beautiful place.

This place is truly a piece of paradise. The pictures don’t even do it justice. When you arrive you are greeted with a welcome drink, incredible service and a view that is truly breathtaking.
The property has been thoughtfully conceived to immerse guests in luxury, whilst feeling part of nature. We saw toucans, humming birds and even the resident sloth, Lola, and her baby sloth!
The food was faultless - so much choice and freshly prepared for each meal.
Each of the 6 bedrooms in the main property have an incredible view over the ocean and beyond. We had plans for our time at Lapazul but decided to abandon them and just stay and appreciate what a truly exceptional place it is.
Not a dislike, but a 4x4 is recommended as it’s quite a steep journey up - but well worth it for the views!

It was all great, very new and clean. My wife loved it; great romantic sunsets for Valentine's night. Excellent friendly staff.
The road going up is steep but this is Costa Rica better get used to that.

Very good food and included breakfast. Amazing sunsets and VERY romantic rooms. The service was excellent. Very nice property with a great pool.
The concrete/dirt road up to the hotel is very steep, and 4x4 is needed, especially in the wet season, from May to Oct 31.

The best and most beautiful Hotel during roundtrip through Costa Rica. We felt in love and we will definitely come back. From the kind staff to the amazing hotel premises and the fantastic view we loved everything. The perfect place to relax.

It was excellent, and from a menu, not a buffet. I could also order smoothies, expresso, and cappuccinos.
The road up there from the highway is steep but paved. 4x4 is best and needed in the rainy season; from May to the end of November.

This hotel is a little gem, located on the side of a hill in the jungle, with a perfect view of the sunset over the ocean. There are just a few rooms and staff members, and it feels like a retreat from the busy touristic sites. The views from and of the pool are also fantastic!
Can't think of anything

The Hotel was great, very confortable rooms with amazing views of the pacific ocean. The best thing was the staff, Esteban and David (chef) were amazing hosts. The Food was also great and overall would highly recommend it.
We live in Florida, so it's all flat land, the road to get there has some steep areas, so my wife got a bit nervous and we did get lost trying to find it, it's not bad at all, just make sure you are comfortable driving in the mountains as you go from main road up to the hotel; however, this is the case for most of Costa Rica.

Although the hotel ánd its staff are fantastic, it still has some startup issues .. if you charge prices like that, there can be no hick-ups …
Red wine from the fridge .. to much sesame (literally a mountain on the tuna), Parc Manuel Antonio is open on Monday and closed on Tuesday… if you charge at low-season what this hotel charges, there can be no room for error …, also .. this hotel is in no way “ Beachfront” which it advertises….

Outstanding/breathtaking view and nice pool.
Relaxing atmosphere.
Remote setting which let you feel like you are alone in the world.
Beautiful sunset view.
Very spacious room with nice view.
Big bathroom.
We did not try lunch nor dinner even tho it was looking tasty.
Breakfast choice rather limited.
We were charged for the water we asked upon arrival, which for this level of hotel should be provided (like welcome drinks).
By choosing Gallo Pinto, omelette and fruit platter for breakfast, we were charged an additional 14US for Gallo Pinto which is a total non sense. Fruit platter was ridiculous and should be free (was 7US on the menu). In every hotel, even on the cheapest budget, fruits were given for free... Cappuccino was also extra in the morning which is a joke.
Room rather basic missing design touch.
So all in all it's small details that needs to be improved and leaves a bitter taste at the end for this price category.
Far from the beach and shops (so shop if you need before arrival).
Waterflow from the overhead shower not working properly.
