A beautiful detached farmhouse that lies close to the pretty coastal towns of Ayr, Troon and Prestwick with numerous shops, eateries and historical places of interest. Sleeps 16.
Tailored to cater for your special occasion, holiday or corporate event, this spacious, detached, newly renovated self-catering house is tastefully decorated creating a beautiful holiday home with under-floor heating. Purpose built games and cinema room with bi-fold door opening onto a patio area within an enclosed courtyard.
Smithfield boasts eight elegant bedrooms which have been furnished to provide flexibility for both families and groups of friends looking for a retreat. The three super king bed split into full sized singles for flexibility, while other beds are king and doubles. There are plenty of en-suit shower and bathrooms.
The large lounge with its luxurious seating, large wall-mounted TV and Lazy Pheasant textiles makes an ideal place to chill out and relax together with views over the rolling landscape.
The bespoke, fully-equipped kitchen and dining area, featuring wood burning stove is a great space for entertaining with doors leading to patio area allowing plenty of natural light bringing the outside indoors. Seating 16 the large polished concrete dining table allows your group to banquet in style.
All the facilities you could need for your holiday are close at hand: there is a 2 grocery shops, restaurant/bar, icecream parlour, café, pharmacy, fuel station, hair and beauty salon.

We really enjoyed out stay at the Smithfield House. We had loads of room for our family, both inside and on the patio. Although the location is in the countryside it is only a short drive to reach nearby larger towns. Drew was very responsive to any questions or minor issues that arose. I would highly recommend staying here.

A brilliant house for family Christmas even with the weather so bad. Loads of space, always warm, local shops nearby and excellent for last minute or extra items. Large supermarkets not far away. The games room is a great extra. Very good value in my experience.

First class stay from start to finish. The property and location are both superb. Drew/Claire are incredibly attentive. when we had questions they were answered quickly. We had one minor issue of being unable to work the patio heaters and Drew was with us within 10 minutes to sort it out. I really couldn't ask for more. The property was spotless on arrival, the facilities from the games room to the pizza oven and everything else in between all well-used and appreciated by the guests. Plenty of parking and a charger for electric cars. A lovely quiet location with views across the countryside. Highly recommended.

Celebrated my birthday with my four children, their husband,wives and children and had the best time with the wonderful facilities at Smithfield House. We were blessed with beautiful weather and loved the outside area where we partied all Saturday night .

The pictures online do not do it justice. It is like a Tardis. There is plenty of kitchen equipment and the games room has so many things in it. The enclosed area is great if you have a dog or young children. The outside area is great for dining. The cows in the field next to property were an extra bonus, everybody loved them. And it was really lovely to meet Drew as well. The added touches of umbrella's shows how the owners have thought of residents. Would gladly and hopefully we will stay again in the future.

We spent a lovely week with family in this farmhouse! Lots to do in the games room! House was perfect for our group with enough space so we could spend time together but also we could have our own space if desired. Lots of fantastic amenities! Exactly what we needed. Thank you

Overall the property was just what we needed to cope with my family 8 adults, 6 children, 2 infants and a dog. The owners left plenty of extras too, flowers, fruit, bag of briquettes, fire lighters, wood for pizza oven. Situated in a great location for days out and to top it off the weather was fantastic too what more could you ask for.

15 of us had a lovely weekend celebrating my sister’s 60th Birthday. We had a fabulous time. We were all very impressed with the accommodation. Everything we needed, home from home, spotless, modern and stunning. We loved dining around the large dining table and Also in the outdoor area. Despite it being early October, the overhead patio heaters helped make our outdoor dining/socialising comfortable, which we used often. The outdoor space was amazing, very private and would be fabulous in summer months. Pizza oven was great too! Took us a while to get it fired up, nearly had to call Drew for assistance. We had lunch in the BlackBull restaurant which was only a short walk from the house. Excellent food and very reasonable. Only one point we all agreed on was a downstairs WC would have been useful as the only WC downstairs was in the master en-suite. A hot tub in the secret garden would be an added bonus! We all had a fabulous time and would definitely recommend. Good communication with Drew via email prior to arrival, he allowed us an earlier arrival time so the majority of the group could be there before my sister arrived which helped with the surprise! She still can’t believe we managed to keep it a secret. Thank you

We were there as a family, our four kids , their partners and five grandchildren ranging from 22years to 9years old. This house had everything, great location , private but within easy reach of Ayr and lots of other destinations and activities. Facilities, all you would need to make your stay easy , two dishwashers, one on whilst other being filled. plenty of space to socialise, or find a quiet corner. The games room was a great success , kids loved it, almost as much as the adults. We were lucky with weather, scorching, but the house was great , nobody wanted to go home and I wouldn't hesitate to return or recommend it to anyone needing this size of accommodation. Hopefully we will return one day.

We stayed at Smithfield House last weekend for my fiancés birthday, it was the most incredible weekend. The house has everything you could ever need, so spacious and such a great layout for the separate families to be apart and come together. The games room was also a big hit! Would definitely recommend for large group getaways, location was perfect also.

What an amazing house! So spacious and the layout meant that different families could have their own areas but could come together for meals or to relax. The games room and outdoor covered eating areas were a huge success (particularly the pizza oven). Drew and Claire were great hosts and the welcome fruit bowl (enormous!) and flowers were much appreciated. A fantastic week made even better by our luck with the weather!

We’ve just had a lovely stay at Smithfield House for the October half term school holidays. We were 3 families with children aged 1 to 8 years old. The rooms were spacious and the beds were comfortable. We enjoyed having meals together around the large dining room. The children loved the playroom while the adults enjoyed the covered courtyard. We had a nice BBQ and success making pizzas in the wood fired oven. Drew was a great host and the welcome pack was a pleasant surprise, we would absolutely stay again!

Excellent communication before arriving from Drew. The house was amazing, fully equipped with everything from games room with cinema system to quiet area in the garden. Huge dining area with everything you need in the kitchen. All of the house including the bedrooms and bathrooms were spotless. This house was used as a base for a golfing holiday and we will definitely be back.
