About this house rental
This adorable little house has been given a complete makeover! Built over 100 years ago, this house was moved to it's current location in the 40s and has tons or character. With 2 bedrooms and 1 bath with a full size pull out sofa bed in the den, medium sized groups have plenty of space and privacy at the Blue Door Farmhouse in the Earlewood Park Neighborhood of Columbia. Off-street parking and a private backyard are all for your use during your retreat to our wonderful city.
Super cozy, warm, and eclectic, this little house will meet all of your needs during your stay! This is a 1930s/40s farmhouse style bungalow that has been meticulously updated and restored to 21st century glory! The listing features:
-2 queen size bedrooms
-1 full-bathroom with tub/shower
-full kitchen
-living room
-dining room
-den ( w/ 1 queen-size pull-out sofa and office area that can be curtained off)
-washer & dryer
-fenced in backyard
-off-street parking.

Earlewood Park is an awesome neighborhood in Columbia. With a large public park within a 2 minute walk of the house, you can enjoy a game of frisbee golf, tennis, softball or enjoy a scheduled concert or event at the amphitheater. There is also picnic areas and a dog park (members only). Also, lots of restaurants and coffee houses have popped up within the past few years along North Main Street and we are only a mile or two from most of the major entertainment districts in the downtown area.
According to Maps, this house is 2.1 from USC/Horseshoe, 7.0 miles from Ft. Jackson Visitors Center, 4.1 miles from Williams-Brice Stadium and 2.2 miles from the Columbia Metro Convention Center.
Car is the dominant mode of transportation in Columbia. Uber and Lyft are great options and there is also a Comet public transportation bus line that stops within a half a mile of the house (http://catchthecometsc.gov/).
The house next door is also a rental property of ours - wave, say hi and make some new friends with fellow travelers while you're in town.

Definitely felt we over paid for what we got. Linens did not smell fresh, beds had hair on them, paint on walls is peeling and door knobs were hard to use. Not bad but had higher expectations for what we paid.

I loved this property. I felt so nurtured by all the touches and felt as if I was home
I came for moms weekend and spent 3 nights and felt as if I was in a luxurious hotel. The beds and linens were so nice and every detail plus more was present. I loved the charm of the house and felt like I had slipped back in time. Thank you for sharing this home. Loved it!!!
