I stayed as I wanted somewhere in the city for one night on way further north. I didn't need much apart from a bed. I got a TV and internet, shared ensuite and a multi use table for my laptop and in room meals. I was glad of the approach to cleaning and confident i did not pick up any bugs. Breakfast was organic and filling. The host was accommodating.

Lidl round the corner. Emma was friendly but on the phone as i entered the house was rushed to a cold room with windows wide open. Lidl and 2 pizza shops less than a 5min walk
The house had no running tap water Tv did not work. Had to use my own drinking water bottle to rinse my hands after using bathroom and in morning to wash my face and brush my teeth.
Both bedroom windows left wide open on the coldest rainy day. Room warmed up in morning when I left.

Didn't take breakfast but the location was good.
I didn't like anything from the host to the facility. Host talking you down like a child, kept burping some disgusting smell on my face. She deducted my deposit because my colleagues made noise while showering yet it is her shower which needs repair.

Booked it for the last min! The staff was very warm and courteous though. The accommodation was just a house and I thought it was a hotel but it was very clean and I had a good sleep and a shower in the morning.
I would recommend if you are looking for a quick room and not fussy for not being in a hotel.

No remote for tv / one pillow after showing I’d passport/driving license/ proof of address still demanded £200 holding deposit or cash so had Togo and get cash which was given back the following morning this took nearly an hour 7pm at night and I was on the road at 5am so tired will not stay again😩😩😩😖

It was clean and the breakfast was okay.
Aside from this the bad....it was a truly terrible experience. In fairness the booking was very last minute. This aside the property is marketed as covid secure, but the property is tired and as such this marketing element makes for a painful experience. They want your Drivers licence and credit card overnight or a £200 deposit on arrival in cash. This was not good when I was checking in and didn't expect this late at night. I wasn't allowed a towel until a set time in the morning. The house is tired and poorly modified for air bnb type stays, areals taped to walls, hosepipes connecting taps in the bath upto the shower etc. I argued with the owner throughout my stay and checkin took over an hour. Never again.

I like the staff being very helpful and courteous. The cooked breakfast was just amazing. I knew my room booked was with a shared bathroom but the cleanliness was just second to none. I fully recommend it

I came to pay a visit to see my grandson and his girl being new in Milton Keynes and I wanted to have my own space since they were only living in a small rented place at the time. The guesthouse’s bed and breakfast were very good and I had a good stay. The staff was looking after me with drinking water, and the B and B was feeling clean and comfortable. No reason I cannot give 10 out of 10. Will come back again
Nothing really

Staff was very helpful in guiding me for the parking and finding the property in the winter dark night. Thought I booked a hotel but it was a b and b. Can’t complain much as I slept well and it was quiet without any banging noise, like most hotels do. Bonus was the nicely cooked breakfast was served to the room. It was good for a nice and quick booking for a night stay.

It was a late last minute booking due to a work trip for the following day. I was travelling in the evening and set off late and then arrived late around midnight but the staff was very helpful when I called and guided me to a parking spot. There were some immediate reminding of some rules such as keeping the place quiet without door noise, leaving outdoor footwear by the entrance and carrying bag in front of me and eat / drink by the table in room, that I could respect. All and all, I slept not bad being a light sleeper. Breakfast was light and fresh - enjoyed it. The room and bedding were very clean. I was feeling not bad that morning - a bonus for a work day even though I arrived late near midnight. Thanks for making me feeling comfortable and that was why it went from 8 to 9 for the score.
Shame though that it was a shared shower room although it was kept very clean but I still had a good hot shower after breakfast. I knew it was a shared one when I booked the room and so I was prepared for it.

I was trying to book for Saturday night near midnight but phone was playing up and I ended up to miss out the same night booking when the clock hit midnight. So, I booked for the following night that was Sunday night instead in a hope that the property would let me stay for Saturday night and I said I would pay the difference although they didn’t charge me extra since Saturday night costed more than that of Sunday night stay. Good on the host and the staff that were so accommodating and looked after me. Showered and had the lovely cooked breakfast in my room. Great service from this guesthouse that looks very clean. Very humanly to save my life for the night x
Nothing!

The lady was so unhelpful and a very rude/harsh tone to her voice. She didn't want to help or support us, after confusion around the booking. I've never had to pay again after paying on booking.com when we booked. She explained her side and we explained our side. We paid instantly after her explaining. She then went onto to tell us about rules we had to read and sign, which we did. Then went onto say we needed a paper bill each and a photo i.d each. Who the hell carries a paper bill round with them in this modern world. I only had a photo i.d, but not my partner. So she refused us entry to the property. But was ok to take the money of my partners card 25 mins prior to this. But wouldn't use his card the just paid her!!! she just didn't want to help us at all, her tone of voice wasn't even helpful. Just very unprofessional an not supporting. She did things totally back to front!! should of told us about the i.d and bills part first then the rules then payment. But no she took payment first. I understand a call had been made to us at lunchtime. Which I missed as I'm a teaching assistant and cant have my phone on me in school. No voicemail was left for me to return the call. I read a text message on route to the destination asking for payment, which threw me. As I was aware I paid the night before on booking.com. which I checked straight away after reading the text. To see my booking listed with a confirmation number and a pin code. So the text message was very dubious to us. Which I explained all this to the owner of the property. I didn't see the email. As finished work, dropped my twins of to family for the eve. Grabbed our bag and left. Which again explained to the owner. This was our first night away after having very poorly twins for a very long time. Which are now 9yrs old. So we hadn't been away or a night out in a very long time. We so cross being refused entry after paying.
She just didn't want to help us at all. Did things back to front, took money, then said about rules. Which we signed. Then went on to say we both needed a paper bill and photo i.d. Who carries a paper bill round with them in this modern world. I had photo i.d on me but my partner didn't. She wouldn't use his card that paid her. Saying that could be anyone's, how was she to know it was his. But she was ok to take the money of the card that could be anyone's as she put it. we explained our side and she explained her. We paid then left stranded and hr away from home. Having to find somewhere else and paying out again!!! she was very unprofessional and not understanding or helpful in any way. Even her tone of voice was unhelpful and rude. Were sat in the cold for an hr sorting all this, to still be refused entry. Was just an awful experiences with a very unprofessional and unhelpful person.

A surprised quirky place - clean, cozy, helpful staff and different. Breakfast was really good

I booked 2 rooms, one for me and another one for my colleague. Was not expecting a BnB - thought it was a hotel. However, I had a very good night sleep from extreme tiredness. The wake up cooked breakfast was just perfect for my empty stomach and it was very tasty. Staff was great and the place was feeling clean.
Definitely the bnb needs a sign that wasn’t there and it confused me initially.
