I was given a cheery welcome to this picturesque and ancient building

The helpful and well informed staff, as well as a general friendliness of everyone. Huge, delicious breakfast.

The room decor was tired and gloomy. There were fixtures in the shower room which, as they were no longer in use, should have been removed. The light over the wash basin didn't work, there was no towel rail and nowhere to put personal items (wash bag etc)

The owners were really friendly. They also looked after our tandem really well. Good pie was served for dinner. Comfy bed.

Disappointing

The room was above a bar lounge and you hear people's conversations The location in relation to the town was at the bottom of a steep road The breakfast was amazing

The hot water was scalding hot in the sink

Contracted us via Booking.com to ensure we telephoned to secure a restaurant reservation, which I did. When we arrived and asked about evening meal they told us there was no food due to an issue in the kitchen. I think the temporary management just couldn't be bothered as it was funny that they could cook breakfast OK.

Lovely weekend break Lovely old pub in a great location

Lovely welcoming landlord and landlady, cosy room and a really good breakfast. Enjoyed our time at the Wheatsheaf and will certainly stay again when we next visit beautiful Ludlow. Thanks again to Steve and Karen for making our break an enjoyable one.

We enjoyed our stay in the Wheatsheaf. The staff were friendly and helpful.

We liked the location of the Wheatsheaf. The breakfast was very good. We liked Ludlow with all its lovely buildings.

It would have been better if we could have eaten in the pub but there were no evening meals available during our stay. Parking was a bit of a problem. On street parking was available but was a bit expensive. We used the Smithfield car park which was a bit of a walk from the Wheatsheaf but not too bad and it was a lot cheaper than parking on the street.

Very enjoyable first visit to Ludlow. A very beautiful town with stunning Architecture

The Inn is a perfect location for visiting Ludlow. The building has lots of history but the room was of a good size and had views down Broad Street which was peaceful over night. Very cosy room with small shower room but no head height restrictions. The cooked breakfast was exceptional value for money. Staff very friendly and helpful and internet worked well. The bar had a lovely friendly atmosphere and served good food.

The bedroom was a little warm for our liking but we could turn the radiator down so not a major problem. Bed a little soft.

A very pleasant stay with very friendly and accommodating staff in a lovely location.

The room was very comfortable with a decent amount of facilities available for the price. Being in the city centre there was easy access to cafes and the high street nearby, making it a very convenient location.

There was very poor parking around the location, with either permit parking or pay and display being the only options available, and along with that the shower stopped working after a while for an unknown reason.

Breakfast was excellent if you wanted a full English…I(I would have preferred a boiled egg which wasn’t available as there was an issue with the gas)

I would have rated this much higher but it was impossible to sleep with the noise going on below us in the bar until 4am…it was New Years Eve so it’s understandable that the festivities carried on past midnight…but not to be able to sleep until 4am was irritating! My husband went down at that time and asked them to at least turn off the music which they did and it eventually became quiet…but we were shattered the following day!! This probably wouldn’t happen on a different night but the ceilings must be very thin and in that room it probably would be noisy until the pub closes.
