We were looking for a house that could accommodate our large multi-generational family. A friend suggested Beachwalk and with no prior knowledge of the location,accommodations,amenities, etc we booked online and hoped for the best. We were not disappointed. We had a lovely, well cared for home that provided amenities beyond expectations. My only regret is I did not call ahead to inquire what all was available. The Wednesday evening social at the club house was something not to miss. Bingo on Thursday was a big hit. The whole community was family friendly and safe. Looking forward to summer 2025.

We gathered to celebrate Christmas over the new year. We had 4 adult children with 4 grandchildren ages 9-5. We rented Breeze, thinking we (the grandparents) would need a place to escape to. We never went over to the Breeze because the master bedroom in Summer Wind is huge and its own Oasis. The basement was PERFECT for the grand kids. They had their own place to hangout & play. Our 4 night stay was perfect for reconnecting, playing games and eating. The kitchen is amazing!! Restaurant style appliances and plenty of dishes. A MUST stay for families. We highly recommend this place

This is our 4th summer in a row staying at Beach Walk! Each year we have stayed at a different house and Summer Wind/Breezy Point is in our top 2! The location is great! The size of the house and coach house was almost perfect for our family (our family could have used one more bedroom, but no fault to the house). The house is laid out perfectly and the main living area is a great gathering place, especially with two dining tables (we used one to eat at and one to play games at). The kitchen was beautiful, and the size of the refrigerator was great! Each bedroom had its own bathroom, which was convenient. The house was very well appointed and decorated beautifully. The basement was great for the little kids, they loved all the toys and books and chalk board! The front porch could have some better furniture and seating accommodations. The back deck was nice, and the hot tub was wonderful! The outdoor shower was a functioning shower and not just a hose (like in other houses) perfect to rinse off after the beach. The coach house was also very nice. The only issue we had while we were staying was the hot water heater for the coach house was not working. We let Beach Walk Properties know about it right away and they got their techs on it, after a day of working on it they said it needed to be replaced and had it replaced by day 4 of our trip. The people in the coach house had cold showers for those 4 days but Beach Walk and the owners of the house compensated us for our troubles. The golf cart that came with the house didn't hold a charge for that long and ran kind of slow (we think it’s just an older golf cart that is probably on its last leg). Of course, Beach Walk was great once again, all the amenities are top notch, and we enjoy partaking in them all! We will be back!

The place is amazing. This was our second year staying at this property. It's our third year staying at Beachwalk. Plenty of parking for four families. The kitchen is out of this world. Two large tables for all 15 of us to sit down and eat at the same time. The pool, Clubhouse, and Beach Hut are a few houses down and across the street; easy for the seven grandkids to walk.

We have stayed in Beachwalk at least 6 times in the last 17 years, and this was one of the best rentals. The house and the guest house, Breezy Point, were spotless. They were also spacious with plenty of room for everyone, updated recently, and decorated tastefully. Everyone in our party was impressed and wants to come back again. The only problem was that the golf cart was missing. It turned out that the servicer still had it, so Beachwalk had a replacement at our door in no time.

It surprisingly, pleasantly, includes generous kitchen amenities such as pot, pans, dishes, a cooking thermometer, extra beach towels, the basement is abundantly stocked with kids toys, which my Granddaughter just loved. The Hot Tub was very nice. The refrigerator and A/C worked very well, as did the golf cart. The battery vacuum was a nice convenience and the washer / dryer were just like being back home. I’m probably leaving a lot of things out but we liked staying at Summer Wind and hope to be back next summer. We didn’t even mind the worn carpeting in the dining and living rooms. Also: The bedrooms were big and the beds had lots of pillows. The master bathroom was big with exceptional shower and separate spa like tub. After we got the internet figured out it worked quite well.

We were quite pleased with the house & coach house overall. The home is beautiful especially the kitchen! We cooked all our meals in house since we were a large crowd and used both grills and the commercial stove happily! We also loved the wrap around porch with the day bed! Great place to lay and watch the world go by. Great proximity to the pool and coffee shop as well as the fishing dock. Everyone commented on how great the house was.The low ceiling in the basement (5 feet or so) was the only drawback. Although the kids didn't mind it, a couple more adults could have better utilized the space if it had a more conventional height.

Summerwind and Breezy point are a great property! The bonus was an added hot tub! Beds are super comfy for all your guests. Primary bedroom and closet are amazing and spacious! Heated tile floors and towel racks make it even more special! Kitchen is a dream to entertain and cook in. Screened in porch is another bonus to enjoy the outside but not the mosquitoes! Outside areas could be power washed or rinsed off to keep the dirt outside of the home. Carpets and couches can also be cleaned, many stains on the rugs and furniture. A nicer gas grill would make it easier to cook on. Current gas grill was very dirty and not easy to use. Overall the property is lovely and my family and I really enjoyed this location!

A Family Getaway
The house was spacious and lovely. Very close to the beach, swimming, basketball and tennis. I would come again. The only minor (super minor) is we could not get the grill or fire table working correctly. I'm not sure if the propane gas was filled. This was not a big deal but be sure to ask if it is working if you plan to grill. Overall, we had a great time. Outstanding space! We loved every moment. 5 stars.

This house and guest house were absolutely perfect for our family! The location was wonderful for us. Plenty of parking. The chef quality kitchen did not disappoint. And the gathering space could not have been better. Everything was very clean and in good condition. A bathroom on the lower level would have been a nicety but we all managed just fine. The staff was courteous and helpful. We just loved it and would highly recommend it! Can't wait to go back!

Summer Wind and Breezy Point is a gem of a property in the best location in Beachwalk. It's on a busy corner so the people watching is fun and the wraparound screened porch was our favorite room in the house. This property also has better parking than any other house on the main road inside the resort. We had a few small repair issues with the house but overall it was a great stay and we would return again, although not during the holiday week. We were there the week of the 4th which is a very busy time at the resort so maintenance took a bit longer than normal. Also, the pool and Lake Kai activities were pretty much inaccessible due to the sheer number of people trying to use them. We focused on the beach and had a nice time there. It's a bit of a haul with gear but we made it better by having a car drop off a few people with the gear then everyone else walked over. You can't take your golf carts all the way to the beach. Beachwalk is a nice little community and this Lake Michigan beach could pass for Florida!

Everything was as described and overall a very nice home. We did have a major issue with the screened in porch. We had planned on using it for an extra play and eating area for the kids but soon realized it wasn't suitable. The floors were covered in a thick black coating that tracked into the house and ruined socks and covered their feet. Eventually we had to give up on using it because it made such a mess. We aren't sure what it was from - serious lack of cleaning or some sort of soot? But it was disappointing as one of the only usable outdoor spaces. Mentioned it to management and they didn't seem to think it was a big deal, but for us it was very disappointing to not be able to use the space.

Celebrating a milestone birthday at this lovely home was fantastic! Friends and family enjoyed this terrific location, comfort of bedrooms, and spacious kitchen! You will love this home and enjoy your stay! So much to do in this area! Beachwalk is a great place to stay!

Summer Wind & Breezy Point is one of the best places we have ever stayed at. From the fully screened in, wrap around porch, to the amazing kitchen, spacious bedrooms and prime location, you will NOT be disappointed. Everything about this home is great. The house has been very well maintained and updated. The kid-friendly basement is super cute, too! We will definitely be renting this place again next year. Stunning home in perfect location
This home is absolutely stunning! Beautiful layout and perfect location across from Lake Kai pier and pool! The neighborhood is just adorable, family friendly, dog-friendly (but not this house) and just a fun, relaxing place to be. Easy access to the beach on Lake Michigan. Easy access to local grocery stores, etc. And the "child-sized" basement is adorable.
Apparently we were the first family to rent this property, so the following cons are not unexpected, but would be great to have next time.
Cons:
It appeared that the property had a sound system throughout the house, however, there were zero directions on how to work it, along with zero directions on how to work the main TV sound, and the dishwasher. This may seem like it would be obvious but trust me, it was not. We never got the sound working but thankfully we eventually figured out the dishwasher. Directions for using the oven and stove would be nice too, but that was a lot easier to figure out. There were also no directions on using the washer/dryer (but easy to figure out) or the fireplaces (but we didn't need to use them) or the outdoor awnings or fire pit table. We were able to figure it out, but directions would have been helpful.
Although the kitchen is beautiful and a gourmet cook's dream, I would absolutely not label it as "fully stocked". There was adequate silverware and dishes, but for the size of the kitchen and quality, we expected a lot more baking pans, kitchen utensils, decent chef's knives set, etc. Again, it was adequate, but not what we expected.
The number of towels, particularly in the kitchen, was low. It would've been nice to have extra kitchen towels. We ended up running several loads of laundry to keep clean towels to use.
The outdoor shower was not cleaned out or even put together. I didn't think it would be an issue but the weather was much better than expected and it would have been nice to use it after being at the beach for several hours.
Lastly, the walls of the back patio of the house did have a lot of dead bugs, spiders, etc. on it that I would have preferred had been hosed off prior to our arrival. It just looks bad. And the picnic table on the back patio was so cheaply made, we were afraid to have more than one person sit on it for fear it would break!
Overall, this was a WONDERFUL house that we would definitely rent again in a heartbeat! Thank you for opening your home!
