About this house rental

This beautiful home is located on a wide canal that's just minutes from the ship channel. The private 200 foot waterfront lot and large yard is all yours to enjoy! Your fishing guide can pick you up right from the back yard. The boat house has two stalls with boat lifts so you can pull right in after a day of fishing or crabbing, an outdoor pellet grill, a large area to relax and enjoy the beautiful outdoors, and a newly built climate controlled storage room with easy access from the driveway and boathouse (it has french doors on the front and back). The home includes 6 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms and lots of extra space for large groups to spread out, including a downstairs game room with a pool table and huge upstairs and downstairs porches. The beautiful kitchen has all stainless appliances including a Jenn Air stove, dishwasher and oven, a microwave and refrigerator. It also has granite countertops and a large walk in pantry and is open to the living and dining rooms. Included for your convenience are two full sized washers and dryers. There's a live well in the boat house for storing your fresh catch or bait. The large porches on the front and back are a great place to hang out and enjoy the soft coastal breezes. The master bath has double vanities, a double shower with a steam bath option, and a walk-in closet. The master bedroom has a king sized bed and a large TV. The hall bath has a claw foot tub and beautiful finishes. Downstairs you will find a game room with a pool table and a gas fireplace. There's another fireplace upstairs in the living room. The home has a total of 7 TV's to accommodate all your needs. An enclosed garage offers storage space for all your gear. There's a commercial ice machine and a freezer downstairs for fishing and hunting needs and a boiling pot and burner (propane provided) to cook that fresh catch. This unique home sits on a large 1 acre lot with 200 feet of water frontage, which offers lots of privacy. Regular mosquito treatment means you won't be chased in by mosquitos while enjoying your home! The driveway is large and can accommodate many cars and boats (great for large groups). I absolutely love this place there is enough room for all of us and we wasn’t on top of each other. She was very informative keeping me up-to-date with what was going on around the house or anything. She also has the house full of like things that people doesn’t think about packing, she saved me from over packing. I feel like when we go off the place like this I feel like I’m packing up like I’m going camping you have to bring everything that you could possibility think of well Miss Tonya had it covered for us .

Overall this is an incredible home. The pictures are just as accurate as the real thing. The vaulted ceiling, plenty of windows for sunlight, and multiple rooms for guests provided a perfect stay for us. Not too far away from social venues either! It had everything we were looking for, and the host was very attentive to our needs.

I've stayed in a lot of VRBOs, and this one is by far the best appointed of them all. Tons of towels, VERY well appointed kitchen, tons of games/stuff for kids to do. The property owners communicated very well. We loved everything about it.

My college friends and I (20+ years after graduation) get together once a year for a weekend of golf, fellowship, fishing, and mis-remembering the past. We chose this property for its size and amenities, and we were not disappointed. In fact we were blown away by how amazing everything was. The pictures do not do the house justice. I cannot say enough good things about this property, or its owners. The check in process was seamless, and the owners were accommodating and accessible. Do yourself a favor and choose this property. You and your group will not be disappointed.

I can't give enough stars. The property manager was great and very accessible to my family and I throughout the entire trip. This by far is the best hospitality I've received since renting through Vrbo. The home was beautiful and well decorated. It was very organized and they even took the time to write out specifics about the area and where to find items you needed. Before we arrived Tonia provided a list of items i wouldn't need to pack as they were already readily available at the property. I'm in love with this home.

Our group absolutely loved the home. You are impressed before you walk in the door. Once you get inside, Tonia has done an amazing job with decorating the home. You feel both at home but in a space perfect for a family gathering, football weekend, girls trip or fishing trip. There is room for everyone to be together when they want to but to also find their own corner inside or out when required. The furnishings inside and outside are well done. Having the home on the water is great if you want to sit and watch the boats go up and down the canal, fish or just relax and enjoy the view. Having the option of separate beds in several of the rooms was ideal for our friend trip. We spent a lot of time in the kitchen which came with some Louisiana spices and all the appliances and pots and pans to make anything you desired. The pellet grill was put to use as well. Finally, Tonia, our host, was very responsive throughout the booking process, prior to our stay and during our stay. I’d highly recommend this properly for families or groups looking for a place near Lake Charles.

This home is exactly as listed. Plenty of room for a big family. I can be a stickler for cleanliness, but I had no issues here. Nice bonus that they had cleaning supplies available to tidy up, as needed. We made plenty of use of the pool table and the ice machine. The kids LOVED the sauna feature in the master bath. The beds and linens were very comfortable. There were no pellets for the pellet grill, but we were able to get more at Brown’s grocery. Our only complaint, ain’t it is no fault of the property, is that the water gets extremely low right outside of the canal the house is on. We have a deep v 24 foot center console and were extremely close to stuck both days trying to leave. The hosts were very helpful and super easy to communicate with.

This was our second time to stay. The house is spacious and perfect for a large group and fishing. Our extended family came down one day and the kids crabbed off the pier for hours while we sat on the back porch talking. Perfect setting for Memorial Day weekend.

The pictures to this house do not do it justice. We had a wonderful time on our fishing trip from Houston to Hackberry. After a successful fishing trip with High Tide Charters, we headed to the home to spend the next 3 nights. The house had everything that we needed and was immaculate. Drinking coffee on the front porch was also a highlight of our trip

This is an AMAZING home to stay in. We had so much fun catching crabs in the canal. The owners were amazing and never hesitated in helping us with any questions we had. Mrs. Tonia was amazing. If you looking for a quiet place to stay, away from the hussle and bussle of a city, this is it! Close enough to the gulf that its a short drive but far enough sand isn't everywhere. If it's nature and fishing your after this place is absolutely perfect! We spent a lot of time playing pool when we were at the house. We hope to come back again.

Forever memories were made at this house. It is perfect for a large group. The younger crowd was downstairs playing pool and the older crowd was upstairs watching t.v. Then the football crowd was in the poker room watching football. The house is beautiful inside and out and had all of the amenities we needed. Tonia was very helpful and responded quickly. I am thankful for her allowances for some of the accommodations we asked for. I would definitely go back again!! Thank you for everything!

This place is absolutely amazing. I planned a surprise birthday trip for my husband, and invited his friends and their wives. Everyone had a phenomenal time. The house is amazing! There is plenty of room for everyone, and plenty of things to do, including pool table, poker table, outdoor kitchen, and boatslips. The place comes furnished with everything you need for a nice, relaxing getaway. The porches are absolutely lovely and a wonderful place to start the day with a nice cup of coffee. This place is perfect for large groups.

The house is amazing! The location was perfect and the fishing this time of year was off the charts...My Dad told us more than a couple of times that was the best birthday a man could have! Thank you so much for allowing us to stay. The only negative thing was there was not a place to clean fish or a sink down stairs...we made do and would definitely book again...Thank you again!

What an amazing weekend with family! This facility is outstanding!!!! Spacious and accommodating to all our family members. Fishing, crabbing, bbqing just a few of our outdoor activities followed by music, playing pool and board games. We will definitely be back. Kudos to Tonia!!! We absolutely loved this place. It had everything we needed, inside had plenty of space and was super nice and the outside area had plenty of seating for us to enjoy relaxing on the two deck areas. Also had grill, smoker, and fryers we used for cooking our redfish we caught that day. Everything about this place was first class, and the owner was super courteous and made the experience great. She provided great instructions and also helpful information about the area. Have already told several friends about this place and can’t wait to go back again!
